What to study for the Christmas exam English 2022 – Mrs.

Dombrecht

To help you prepare the teacher added additional information about study
tools on Google Classroom. The correction key of the workbook will be
available a week before the exam. Please use these tools!!

1. VOCABULARY

The pupils have to be able to understand and apply the vocabulary of all 5 units.
There are vocabulary lists in all workbook units.

For the first three units the teachers made extra vocabulary lists. These can be found on
Google Classroom. As of unit 4 the pupils were urged to make their own vocabulary lists,
also as a tool in class. These lists can be used to prepare for the exam.

An overview:
U1: numbers; meeting and greeting; useful expressions
U2: school necessities; how to ask for something in class – NOT: subjects at school
U3: daily routines; hobbies; time; other words and expressions
U4: NOT: family relations - describing people - other features – all other vocabulary in the
unit has to be studied
U5: chores; rooms

The indefinite article
The plural of nouns
NOT: the alphabet

The present simple: talking about facts and routines (U3)

The genitive form
To have, to have got
NOT: family relations and features
5.
The present continuous: to be + -ing-form: how to talk about actions going on now (U5)
