RESCHEDULING OF THE FOUR CLASSES

In the survey made on the availability of teachers to hold graduate classes on


weekdays, majority said they would not be available. Hence, the four classes
have to be held on a Saturday.

FOR CONVENIENCE, LET’S LABEL THE FIRST TWO SATURDAY CLASSES


AS GROUP I (REFERRING TO HUMAN ECOLOGY & EDUCATIONAL
MANAGEMENT)- THE OTHER TWO CLASSES AS GROUP 2 (REFERRING TO
CONTENTS AND APPROACHES TO VALUES TEACHING & THE TEACHING OF
READING). SINCE WE ARE GIVEN ONLY SATURDAY FOR WEEKEND CLASSES,
THESE 2 GROUPS HAVE TO TAKE TURNS IN HOLDING CLASSES. SUPPOSE, WE
HAVE IT THIS WAY;

GROUP I HOLDS CLASSES ON MARCH 5, 9-11AM HUMAN ECOLOGY & 2-


4,PM MARCH 5 for the other class. THIS GROUP’S NEXT CLASS IS MARCH 19
SAME TIME.

GROUP 2 HOLDS THEIR CLASSES ON MARCH 12 AND MARCH 26.


CONTENTS & APPROACHES TO VALUES TEACHING 9-11AM AND 2-4PM The
teaching of Reading.

We will try this schedule for the month of march if it works. If it does, then we can
have it for the entire semester.

We have to do this since teachers cannot be out of their workplace on weekdays.


The activities for group 2 are as follows:

activities.Please write your activities very legibly, otherwise your work will remain
unread. Better if you can encode your activities, I’d appreciate it and staple your written

pick out instances in teacher-student interaction in which values come into play?

ACTIVITY 2 - IN KOLHBERG’S RESEARCH ON MORAL DEVELOPMENT

In his research on the child’s moral development, what particular level of


development is the teaching of values crucial? Defend your stand.

If you were to answer the questions he asked to his children research


participants (p.4 middle part) 1-4 , what would have been your answers to these
questions? Give your reasons for making such decisions.

ACTIVITY 1 - THE TEACHING OF READING THE BOTTOMS UP WAY

Why is it impractical to give example of the sound of each alphabet with a


corresponding word example? For example A as in Apple.? What makes a cebuano kid
learn to read English words the way they would in cebuano? Based on your observation
what makes a cebuano kid pronounce an English word just like they would in cebuano?

ACTIVITY 2 - THE LEVELS OF COMPREHENSION

Why is it that most grade school kid remain in the literal level? What keeps them
from moving up to higher level of comprehension? Share your observation and from
your personal experience with your own students? Is it possible to develop the four
dimensions of comprehension in the same story taken up in class?
