Module title: Advanced Clinical Toxicology

Module code: Phar 6631


Credit value of the module: 4 ECTS (120 hours), Lecture hours= 30
Module requirements
 All students should meet the attendance requirement of the module as set forth in the
senate legislation:
o All students are required to attend all lecture group discussion and presentation
o In situations where a student, because of reasons beyond his control, fails to attend all
sessions, a minimum of 75% attendance shall be required
 Perform assignments and give classroom presentation
 Meet deadlines for assignments and obey classroom presentation schedules
 Read the assigned material and accomplish given tasks
 Take all the assessments according to the schedule setout

Module calendar: This module will be given for two weeks.

Teaching methods:
 Interactive lecture using PPT slides
 Individual and group assignment
 Virtual to control the spread of the pandemic (for Part I to be conducted for a week)

Assessment strategy

 There will be short quizzes every day from the previous class before starting the day’s
session in order to encourage students to read every day
 Final written examination

Role of Instructors and Students

 Facilitate students’ individual and group activities
 Assess students’ performances
 Provide list of reference materials.
N.B. Power point presentations will not be provided for part I to avoid the
misunderstanding as if the slides give complete information and encourage students to read
on their own. The reference materials, however, are given in this module description (last
page).
