Workflow Set-up in myExam Cockpit

The myExam Autopilot program within myExam

Cockpit can be set up in the same way as the
myExam Assist workflow.
The structure of the two workflows is similar.

The myExam Autopilot workflow can be created

using one or more strategies.
Patient View Decisions can also be included in a
workflow and optimized to the facilities preference.
(e.g., contrast agent, optional sequences, etc.)

Enable Workflow in myExam Cockpit

1• If you are creating a myExam Autopilot workflow,

you need to enable the system to recognize it.
Within the Edit tab, activate the check box
myExam Autopilot.
Please note: The Autopilot workflow must be
activated to be recognized and launched in
Autopilot View when selected during patient
registration.

2 If the created workflow is not compatible with

Autopilot rules, you’ll be notified with an error
message near the check box.

Characteristics in a Nutshell

1• AutoAlign
myExam Autopilot requires AutoAlign to define the region to be scanned.
− AutoAlign scout step must have an assigned AutoAlign region.
− Measurement step must have an assigned AutoAlign reference, and Copy Reference
cannot be used.
2• Automized Workflow
myExam Autopilot does not allow pauses for user confirmation of Slice Alignment
or Spine Labeling Verification (e.g., working man, or pauses).
3• Minimized User Interactions
In normal cases, the user interactions during workflows are minimized to:
− Image quality check after localizer and before exam finalization (optional step).
− Planning the transverse images.

4• Workflow Assistance
myExam Autopilot assists the user by automatically resolving situations that
typically require user interaction (e.g., SAR warnings).
− SAR Assistant, Charge Balance Model (CBM) Assistance and Boost Assistant must always
be active. 5

Add-ins and Interaction Steps

Compared to myExam Assist, myExam Autopilot Dedicated Autopilot Add-ins

has a smaller selection of add-ins and new
add-ins are also supported. 1 Autopilot Image QA is attached to an
interaction step enabling the user to add a
Default add-ins workflow step as a reminder to check the image
quality (QA).

2 Autopilot Spine Planning is attached to an

interaction step. It enables the user to select
options when planning transverse images during
spine workflow.

Decisions

In general, myExam Autopilot Decisions can only be

created as Basic Patient View Decisions.
During an Autopilot workflow, decisions can only be
defined within the Exam Settings window, when the
workflow is paused (e.g., not during workflow).

Insert decisions for Contrast Agent Injections or for

additional protocols.
1 Add a decision in the workflow:
− Selected decision is taken in the Patient View as a decision
type.
− Define decision options and default value.

2 In Autopilot the decision is located in the Exam

Settings window and is not visible in the workline, if
the default is set to no.

myExam Autopilot Spine Planning Set-up

Spine planning in myExam Autopilot

workflow is comprised of 2 steps

1 Spine planning
Interaction step is supported by the Autopilot Spine
Planning add-in. This enables the user to visualize the
step in the Autopilot workline and to select the scan
region.

2 Spine scan mode decision

The only workflow decision allowed in myExam
Autopilot. Autopilot is comprised of:
1. Decision (supported by Basic Decision add-in)
2. Decision Step with options
Please note: The decision must be named correctly as
Spine scan mode decision.

Configuration not Compatible with Autopilot

How do you recognize if something is not

compatible with myExam Autopilot?

1 An error message appears.

A tooltip indicates that the configuration is
not compatible with the Autopilot view.

2 The protocols involved are highlighted

in red.
A tooltip provides guidance on how to
resolve the issue for the specific step.
