Topic: Active Range of Motion Exercises for Elderly

Description/ Overview: Active Range of Motion (ROM) exercises for the elderly are gentle, regulated motions that are intended to maintain or

improve joint flexibility, muscular strength, and general mobility. These exercises require the user to move their own joints through their full range
of motion on their own, without help. Active ROM exercises are good for older persons because they lower the likelihood of joint contractures and
improve functional independence.
General Objective: After this teaching session, the patient will be able to successfully distinguish the Active ROM exercises for elderly and apply it on their daily living.

Specific Objectives: 1. Cognitive After a 10-minute teaching session, the patient will be able to name at least 3 Active ROM exercises for elderly.

2. Psychomotor After a 15-minute demonstration, the patient will be able to successfully alter Active ROM exercises for elderly to suit

their condition.

3. Affective After a 5-minute discussion, the patient will display consistent interest in maintaining Active ROM exercises for elderly to

improve overall mobility.

I. Unsa ang Range of Motion? Group discussion 10-minute Evaluation Method: Formative
stretch, ug mulihok.

II. Unsa ang klase-klase na mga ROM?

- Naay duh aka klase sa Range of motion, mao kina ang Active
Range of Motion (AROM) ug ang Passive Range of Motion
(PROM)
i. Active ROM
Kini imong
nabuhat nga way tabang.
ii. Passive ROM

Kini maayo alang sa imong pangkabubut-on nga kahimtang ug
pagpalambo sa imong pagkamobility sa labing ulahi.
- Sumala sa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 61
pagbiyahe.
