Roles and Responsibilities


We expect all employees, contractors, visitors, and customers to:

 Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and company policies and procedures related
to safety.
 Identify, report, and eliminate or control any hazards or unsafe conditions or behaviors in the
workplace.
 Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices at all times.
 Participate in safety training, education, and awareness programs.
 Cooperate with safety audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective actions.
 Support and encourage each other to work safely and intervene when necessary.

We also expect our managers and supervisors to:

 Demonstrate leadership and commitment to safety by setting clear expectations and goals, providing
adequate resources and support, and modeling safe behaviors.
 Ensure that all employees and contractors are competent, qualified, and authorized to perform their
tasks safely.
 Monitor and evaluate safety performance and provide regular feedback and recognition.
 Foster a positive safety culture that values employee involvement, consultation, and feedback.
 Continuously improve safety management systems and processes by identifying best practices,
learning from incidents, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Preventive Actions
We will take the following preventive actions to reduce or eliminate safety risks in our workplace:
 Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and implement
appropriate controls.
 Maintain and inspect all equipment, tools, machines, vehicles, and facilities to ensure they are safe and
fit for use.
 Implement safe work procedures, practices, and rules for all tasks and activities.
 Provide adequate signage, warnings, barriers, guards, locks, tags, etc. to prevent unauthorized access
or interference with hazardous areas or equipment.
 Store, handle, use, transport, and dispose of hazardous materials safely and in accordance with
applicable regulations.

Emergency Management
We will prepare for and respond to any emergencies that may occur in our workplace by:

 Developing and implementing emergency plans and procedures for different scenarios such as fire,
explosion, spillage, power outage, etc.
 Providing adequate emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinklers, first aid kits,
etc. and ensuring they are accessible and functional at all times.
 Conducting regular emergency drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of our emergency plans
and procedures and improve our readiness and response capabilities.
 Training all employees and contractors on how to react in case of an emergency situation.
 Coordinating with external agencies such as fire department, police department, ambulance service,
etc. as needed.

Continuous Improvement
We will strive to continuously improve our safety performance by:

 Establishing measurable safety objectives and targets that are aligned with our vision and guiding
principles.
 Collecting and analyzing safety data such as incident reports, near misses, audits results, etc. to
identify trends, root causes, gaps, opportunities for improvement.
 Implementing action plans to address the identified issues and prevent recurrence of incidents or
injuries.
 Reviewing and updating our safety policy, systems, processes regularly or as required by changes in
legislation or business needs.
 Communicating our safety performance internally (e.g., through newsletters) externally (e.g., through
annual reports) to share our achievements.
