Nothing compares to that warm curve on her lips,

Though discernibly tired, she’s still so beautiful.
| DARIO CASTILLEJOS It’s from working hard that she bears no sleep,
To give me that comfortable life, she gives it her all.
I looked at her, captured that tired face in mind to keep,
I will repay her sacrifices, soon as I am able.

She’s been giving me those little feathers,

Says she wants me to fly high on my own someday.
“I trust you won’t let these treasures wither.”
I was, “Trust me ma. I’ll fly with these one day.”
She smiled and everything felt much better.
“When the Above calls for me, till then I’d be happy.”

As I sat and saw a flashback of our tiring yet hopeful events,

I claim those were such beautiful memories to reminisce.
I strived to grow my wings one at a moment,
It developed – nourished with a mother’s selflessness.
Now, I am at the wondrous peak of my enjoyment,
What led me here? That’s her lovingkindness.
