RE: Cause Number 2019-12484 – Hearing Request on Motion for Reconsideration and for New
Trial

To the Court

I am requesting an expedited hearing date for the Motion for Reconsideration and for New

Trial on or before January 11, 2024, as the court will lose its plenary jurisdiction in the case. At the

last hearing, the Court advised us that we needed to use the Pilot program to self-schedule the hearing.

However, there are no dates available on that calendar until February 2024. We also tried checking

with the District Clerk and were told that they were unable to manually schedule a hearing since this

Court was part of that Pilot program. There does not seem to be any way to set this matter except by

contacting the Court directly. We believe this matter can be fully heard in 15 to 20 minutes of this

Court’s time.
