I like playing games on my mobile phone with my friend. Because it just needs a phone and wifi, so we
usually play at home.

A: Where did you meet your friends for the first time and how did you become friends ?
I (I AM) very friendly so I have so many friends from many place. Firstly, we just talk a little, but we meet
more and more so we talk more and become friends. It is so easy, but we still friend until now.

B: I have just moved to the city and want to make some friends. Can you give me some
advice?
I think you should talk to everyone you meet and find someone suitable for you. After that you can make
friends with this people. Or you can find anyone in our group to make a friend, I know they are very
kind.

C: It is much easier to make new friends these days because of computers and mobile phones.
Do you agree? Why or why not?
In my opinion, I agree (WITH THAT) that statement because you just stay at home, take your phone, go
to Facebook or play some game, when you meet someone suitable and can make a friend with this
(THESE) people.

Part 4: You are a member of a social club. You received this email from the club.
Dear members,
We would like to organize some monthly face to face meetings. We would like your suggestions
about when and where we could meet. It suits to both young and older people. Please send us
your suggestions and your reasons.

Dear manager,

My name is Chau Phuong Nam and I have been a member of your Social Club for 1 year. I’m writing this
email to express my feelings and some suggestions about a meeting which we will organize.

According to the news, our club would like to organize some monthly face to face meetings and want to
get suggestions from members about when and where we could meet. I was very excited when hearing
that news because I have expected for a long time.

In my opinion, almost all members in our club are busy from Monday to Saturday so we should organize
on Sunday at 5 P.M. I think we should book somewhere private for our club because our club have so
many people, so if we face to face in public it so noisy and affect with people around there. In addition,
we need some rules for this meeting like limit the phone, go on time if we want a meeting more
successful.

I usually use the internet for relaxing in my free time. I can watch movies and play games with my friend.
But sometimes, I search for information for studying.

A: I usually spend 6 hours a day studying English. How do you learn English?
That’s great! You are so hard-working for studying English. I just learn English in my school, after that I
don’t spend any time for on this. But I usually speak English when playing games with my foreign friend.

B: English is a popular language in the world. What are your thoughts on this idea?
I have the same idea like you. Nowadays, if anyone want to communicate with foreign people they will
use English. That is why, English is the most important and popular in the world. In my country, all
children have to learn English.

C: When do you usually use English?

I usually use English for communicating with my foreign friend who I met through game. He from
Canada, so I need to use English to talk with him. Although, my speaking skill is not very good, it is
enough for him to understand my idea.

My name is Chau Phuong Nam and I have been a member of English Club for 1 year. I’m writing this
email to express my feelings and some opinions for the announcement that I have received from our
club.

According to the news, we have two side opinions from people who react about more and more new
words and phrases are added to the language. One side agrees with this statement but on the other side
they think we should have rules for language. I was very confused when hearing that news because I
don’t know how to overcome this problem.

In my opinion, everything in the world also changes and develop. To fit with all people today, so
language is no exception. We need more new words or phrases to explain new thing. But if we don’t
have rules for creating new words, language will be affect so much. If any new words also have a good
advantage, it not problem? but many bad words and phrases are created together with good words.

I believe that a lot of members of our club have suggestions like me. Looking forward to hearing you
soon if my recommendations are accepted.

and food for everyone who wants to use. Besides, the main topic is “ How to get high point in the Ielts
test? “. Because I know many members in our club have a plan to do Ielts test so if they want to
improve band Ielts they can go there. Luckily, some members in English Club get over 8 in Ielts test, so
we will have advice from these people.
