Cre Assistant Director of Postal Services (BD) ‘O/o the Chief Postmaster General West Bengal Circle, Kolkata ~ 700012{ STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR MOBILE PARCEL BOOKING 1, Route map to be prepared and circulated in local area along with the prominent customers. 2, At the time of booking of Registered/Speed Post Parcel through Mobile pick up Van receipt will be given to the customer on the basis of the rate of the article weighing scale will be provided to the Mobile Van. 3, Tariff of the article will be collected at the time of receiving of the article from the customer. 4, Speed Post rate chart will be displayed in the Parcel Van for customer. 5. Pick up/Booking facility will be provided to the customer up to the cut-off time to be fixed at Divisional level arising the demand. 6. Final receipt will be given to the customer on the next day. 7, Booking amount will be deposited to the concern Treasury promptly. 8, The articles booked will be processed at Counter of respective POs. 9. Overall supervision to be made by the concerned Postmaster. 10.PO counter will be responsible for accounting, processing and dispatching of Mails.
