Create offers

The following tutorial aims to outline the various stages


of adding an offer to the site. We will focus here on tips on
how to navigate your account and how to go through the
form for adding an offer, so that you end up publishing
a clear and attractive offer on the site for the goods you
want to sell quickly.

Adding a new offer is just a few
simple steps

Log in to your account on Merkandi, then in the left-


hand panel click on the SALES OFFERS tab and select
NEW SALES OFFER:

You will be redirected to the form for adding an offer,
which consists of several modules.

1. Information about the product - give product information - choose:


• Category /max 3/ to which the goods you want to offer on Merkandi belong
• Grade - It defines the state of your goods, there are 6 groups to choose from, their
description can be found by clicking below the field on: information about stock grades
• Country - here you select the country in which your goods are stored
• Active offer - here you decide how long you want your offer to be active for - you have
6 options to choose from

2. Order: provide information on the conditions of sale of the goods:
• Price options:
unit price - price for one piece
Price depends on the quantity - price depends on quantity ordered
• Currency - the currency in which you offer the goods - you can choose from the most
popular currencies for wholesale trade
• Unit - the unit of the good to which the unit price subsequently quoted relates - it is
important to specify the correct unit here - if the price is for shoes, for example, we
select „pair”, not „piece.”
• Unit price - the unit price for the goods offered
• Available quantity - quantity of goods -if goods are permanently available, select:
UNLIMITED
• Unit - the unit in which you enter the available quantity
• Minimum order - select „QUANTITY” when a specific minimum order quantity is
required or „PRICE” when a minimum order value is required.
• Order’s total worth - the value relating to the minimum order quantity or the value
relating to the minimum order value.

3. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRODUCT (optional)
• if you have the above-mentioned product data, it is worth providing them -
customers need additional information about the goods, especially when it comes
to sales/purchasing or international transport.
Fill in the field with information about the goods: SKU, EAN and TARIC numbers.

4. PAYMENT AND DELIVERY (optional)


If you offer payment options and delivery options for your goods, we recommend that you
provide them when completing the company profile on Merkandi. If you offer uniform
payment and delivery methods for your goods, we recommend providing them when
completing the company’s profile on Merkandi. It is a good idea to display such additional
information in the ad - the ad will be more attractive, credible and the client will not have
to ask about such issues in the product enquiry.

5. The next field to be filled in is the OFFER’S DESCRIPTION
• note the flag on the right - It determines the language version in which the Offer’s
Description is added, i.e. Title, Content and then Keywords. By default, the language
version in which the user is registered is active, so here we see the British flag, so we add
content in English.
After adding the content in English, select a different flag, e.g. German - then we get
blank fields to be filled in with the content in German.

You do not need to select other language versions - the content will be added appropriately
by an automatic translator, within 24 hours of the listing being added.

Please note!!! that due to the limits of the offers to be translated, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that
all offers will be translated. It is possible to purchase a „Priority and guaranteed translation of offers” in 20
languages. This is available under the Services tab in your user profile.

Offer’s description, enter in turn:
• Title- it is important that it is short/ max. 70 characters/ but includes the name of the
product or what the batch contains, the brand or manufacturer of the goods should also
be mentioned.

• Offer’s description - this is where you enter a description of the goods to which the
offer relates to. It is recommended to provide important characteristics of the product
you offer, e.g. if it is a shoe or a piece of clothing, it is necessary to provide available sizes,
models, colours; in the case of electronic equipment, it is necessary to provide important
technical data, whether there are accessories included in the package, warranty issues,
etc. You can also provide important information about the sale of the goods themselves
- what is the delivery time, is the packaging original, is a deposit required for pallets,
etc. Do not provide information about other assortment here, please avoid the company
description - users will find this in the wholesaler’s profile if it is completed, which we
recommend you do.

Important - Please do not include your company’s contact details such as telephone
number, email address, website in these two fields. Otherwise the offer will be deactivated.

• Keywords - under the field Content it is possible to add keywords relating to the product
to presented in the offer

It is enough to provide 3-4 correctly chosen phrases and the offer will be easier to find not
only on Merkandi, but also in popular search engines such as Google, which has an impact
on a higher number of views and queries.

Well-matched keywords will attract users who are genuinely interested in the goods to the
page with your offer. When keyword phrases are well matched to the products you offer,
the chance of real sales will increase.

What Keywords should they be? We recommend avoiding the use of general phrases such
as: telephones; shoes; summer dresses; television sets; etc. In order to reach the right target
group, it is advisable to specify in such a phrase which goods and origin you offer, as well
as the type of sale.

For example: If your offer is about sports shoes on sale, then the correct phrases to use are>
1. sports shoes wholesale, 2. sports shoes sale, 3. sports shoes in bulk.

Such phrases consisting of more than two words allow users to specify exactly what they
are looking for in a search engine. They are most often entered by customers who are
interested in a specific product/range of goods. Entering such phrases under an offer (3-4
phrases) therefore allows you to quickly reach customers with a specific product range who
may actually be interested in buying it.

Depending on the language version selected, the keywords are entered in the relevant
language.

6. Another field worth completing is Brand/Producer
In this field we start by typing in the name of the brand/producer and the system will suggest
a result, simply click on the suggestion to accept it. If the brand you wish to add is not listed,
please contact Customer Service.
The brands entered to make it easier for the search engine on the website to find your listing.

7. The next step is to add your photo(s) to the offer


It is a good idea to add some good quality photos of the goods as described in the offer.
We recommend that the photos depict the actual product/lot available in the seller’s
shop/warehouse. This adds much more credibility to the offer than neutral box photos or
catalogue photos.
Not all image formats are possible to upload - the aforementioned screen shows which
formats are allowed on Merkandi.
If the correct size of a photos is added to a listing is will be fully visible in the preview -
aspect ratio 4:3
Important! Please note that it is mandatory to add a minimum of 1 photo to the offer.

8. Once the images have been added, we move on to adding an attachment if required/
possible - here you can add a product catalogue, a list of items on offer, further images,
etc.

Allowed download formats: JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG files only. Maximum file size: 3MB. Max.
number of files: 7 Attention! The first image will be the main one.

Important! It is possible to subscribe to an automatic offer refresh service. This is available under the Services
tab in your user profile.

9. The final step in the form is the option to add the offer to the so-called Exclusive Zone’.

10. To publish an offer we have 2 buttons


If you want to hold off on the publishing then you can save it as a draft. You can always
come back to this offer later from the list of offers and edit/publish it.
If the listing is ready for publication, click on the blue Submit button and proceed to
promotion. There are several packages to choose from, the most popular being Midi.
Promotion is not required, but it greatly improves the visibility of the listing.
