SOLAR OFF-GRID DESIGN - LED 24V

Off-Grid Design for Power Supply Units 40W X 2pcs - 2 4hrs

This Solar PV Off-Grid System is designed as per the information provided by the client as below:-
 Power of LEDs = 40W and working for 24hrs = 40 X 24 X 2 = 1920Wh

 Energy Needed = 1920Wh

 The total energy requirement of the System considering 90% DOD i.e Total Energy
required to charge the battery:-
= 1920/0.9 = 2133Wh (Batttery Required)

 Considering the 24V 100Ah Lithium Battery we have Energy:-

= 24 × 100 = 2400 Wh

 Total Batteries required for the System:-

= 2133/2400 = 0.88875 = 1 Battery to make 24V

 Energy produced by one 320Wp panel in a day

= Actual power output × 6 hours/day (peak equivalent)
= 320 × 6 = 1920 Wh = 1600Wh (@20% Losses)

 Number of solar panels required to satisfy given estimated daily load :

= (Total watt-hour rating (daily load)/(Daily energy produced by a panel)
= 2400/1600 = 1.5 = 2 Panel (to make 24V or more )

 Charge Controller size is to be calculated as :

 Total Power from the PV panel system = 640W
 Charge Controller Selected Victorn 150/35A MPPT 24V X 1pcs
