2.5.5 System ID

The System ID software is a configuration file, stored

on PC 1770 Main back-plane, that is unique for each
system. The System ID software will enable the
functions selected for this system.

To change the functions of the system, a new System

ID software can be installed via a Software option
installation.

When replacing PC 1770 Main back-plane, a spare

part that is factory programmed for the concerned
system must be used.

4.6 User interface overview

4.6.1 Versions

There are three different versions of the User interface.

In this manual, they are described as:

• Type 1 – User interface S/N ≤ 114000 (SERVO-i

bullet
S/N ≤ 17000).

• Type 2 – User interface S/N 114001 – 189044

bullet
(SERVO-i S/N 17001 – 83666).

• Type 3 – User interface S/N ≥ 250001 (SERVO-i

bullet
S/N ≥ 83857).
The electronics inside the User interface differs and
as a consequence, some of the spare parts are not
compatible between the three versions. Further
information can be found in the table below and also
in the Spare parts list.

4.6.2 Main parts

The main parts of the User interface are:

• Rear cover (1)
bullet
• PC 1777 Panel (2)
bullet
• Backlight inverter (3)
bullet
• Support plate (4)
bullet
• TFT Display (5) including Backlight lamps
bullet d
• Touch screen including frame (6).
bullet

WARNING! With power supply

connected to the system, there are
energized electrical components inside
the unit, e. g. the Backlight lamps that
are supplied with 660 V by the Backlight
inverter. All personnel must exercise
a s f g h
extreme caution if fault tracing or

adjustments are performed with power
supply connected and with the User
interface rear cover removed.

Note: MR environment. On MR
environment approved units, an EMC

4.7 User interface - common parts

4.7.1 Rear cover

To separate the front panel section from the rear cover:

s s a s
• Disconnect the control cable (1).
bullet
• Remove the screws (2). Threadlocking adhesive is
bullet
not used on these screws.

• Lift off the rear cover from the front panel section.
bullet
All parts inside the front panel section are now
accessible.

When removing the rear cover:

• The PC Card eject button can catch on the PC Card
bullet
slot during disassembling. Carefully release the
button from the rear cover before removing the
cover.

When mounting the rear cover on units with the new

s s s
version of the On/Off switch and switch cover: S30019

• The switch must be set to On before mounting the

bullet
rear cover. If set to Off, the switch lever will not enter
the hole in the switch cover.

A new design of the On/Off switch was introduced Q2

2007. This switch also requires a new version of the
switch cover. Refer to illustrations below.

With this new design, the switch cover will be kept

open when the switch is Off and will be closed only
when the switch is On. On/Off switch and switch cover - Old design

PC 1777 Panel, when delivered as spare part, will be

equipped with the new design of the On/Off switch.
The spare part will thus also include a new switch cover
to be mounted on the User interface.

4.17 Expiratory cassette

Note: It is very important for the function of the

expiratory valve that the valve membrane is
removed and mounted correctly as described below.

The Expiratory cassette is a complete unit and must

5.6 Battery modules

5.6.1 General

The batteries condition and capacity are verified during

the Pre-use check and also continuously during
operation of the system. No further function checks of
the batteries are required.

The system software will monitor:

• Expiry date. The life span for the Battery module is

bullet
set to two and a half years from manufacturing date.

• If the operational capacity is too poor for continued

bullet
usage.
In both cases, battery replacement information will be
shown on the User interface.

To guarantee safe battery backup, always use at least

two batteries.

Recharge time for a discharged battery is

approximately three hours/battery. If a battery is fully
discharged, e.g. due to long storage time, each battery
may require up to 12 hours charging time.

The battery serial number and manufacturing date is

printed on the Battery label.

customer that gas supply must fulfill requirements
for medical grade gases according to applicable
standards. Refer to Technical data in the User's
