Contract of Employment

Between

MARLON GLANVILLE of Nineteen New St, Belize City, owner of Black and Sons

(‘the employer’)

and

CAROLYN PRICE-WATSON of twenty-eight Parliament Street, Belmopan

(‘the employer’)

WHEREBY the employer and employee agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. EMPLOYEE’S JOB TITILE: Administrative Assistant

2. PLACE OF WORK: Black and Sons, twenty-three Harbour View Belize City

3. HOURS OF WORK: From nine am to five pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch and such

additional hours as may reasonably be deemed to be necessary for the execution of the job.

4. REMUNERATION: US$ nine hundred eighty per calendar month, payable in arrears.

5. JOB DESCRIPTION: See attached schedule one.

6. DURATION OF CONTRACT: The contract shall be initially for a minimum period of one year.

7. HOLIDAYS: Four weeks paid leave per annum to be taken at a time to be agreed as mutually convenient to

both parties.

8. SICKNESS: The Employee is entitled to seven days paid sick leave per annum and shall supply a medical

certificate if absent for a period of three days or longer.

9. GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE: In the event of a grievance the parties shall follow the grievance procedure as

set out in Black and Sons Employment Handbook Two thousand and seven.

10. TERMINATION CONTRACT: This contract can be terminated by either party giving one calendar months’

notice to the other in writing.
