2.Scope of works:

1) Clean and remove external dirt and vacuum internal and external of switchgear
enclosure

2) Check and clean insulation. Carry out insulation resistance test and record result

3) Examine and recondition contacts. Carry out contact resistance tests and record results.

4) Check vacuum interrupters

5) Check, clean and re-lubricate operating mechanism

6) Check for proper functioning of auxiliary switches, indicating devices and interlock
system
7) Check and clean isolating contacts

8) Check and tighten bus bar and cable connections, clean bushing, busbar jumper and
orifices.

9) Check and clean cable terminations

10) Check tautness of all connections and cleanliness of protective relays.

11) Check protective relays operation and carry out secondary injection test.

12) Check proper operation of circuit breaker by tripping and closing periodically.

13) Check, clean potential transformer and current transformer

14) Carry out reduced high voltage test for switchgear and vacuum circuit breaker

Note : Applied voltage and duration should be based on maker recommendation

15) Final check for proper operation and ensure all fastening are tight and good contact is
made

16) Megger all outgoing transformer cable
