Information on NUA-O Scholarship for students:-

a) Ineligibility of a student

1) Students enrolled in open universities or pursuing higher education through

distance learning or correspondence courses, or undertaking self-financed courses
under PPP mode, are ineligible to avail of scholarships under this scheme.

2) Students currently receiving scholarships under any other schemes administered

by the State or Central Government, except for the Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan
Bhasabruti scheme, are ineligible.

3) Students whose either of the parents is paying tax or liable to pay income tax, are
ineligible.

4) Students whose either of the parents is employed under regular establishments of

the Central/State Government/ PSUs /Government Aided Institutions/
Autonomous Bodies or receiving grants as part of their salary directly or through
block grants from any educational institution, are ineligible

b) Requirement of a Student

1) Students must not be coming under any of the above ineligibility criteria.

2) Applicants must be a permanent residents of Odisha.

c) Documents Required

1) Aadhaar Card of student.

2) Copy of passbook of Bank account with account number and IFSC code of the bank.
3) Marksheet of last exam passed.
4) Residential certificate.
d) How to apply
I) For whose Name is there in Potential Student list

1) Get sure that you are eligible to apply as per above mentioned criteria.
2) Download the self-declaration form and fill it up with all details in the form (like
Block Name, Roll No, Mob. No., Aadhar No., Bank account details etc.) and put your
signature.
3) You must take the Signature of your Witness in its place.
4) Attach documents (Xerox copy of Aadhar, Bank account, mark sheet of last exam
passed & residential certificate) with the self-declaration form and submit the hard
copy to your respective HOD’s.
5) Fill the form kept with HOD (Sl. No., Roll No & sign it). Write the same Sl. No. on
your Self-declaration form. You can take the acknowledgement of the same from
HOD’s.

II) For whose Name is Not there in Potential Student list

1) Get sure that you are eligible to apply as per above mentioned criteria and your
name is not there in the Potential Student list.
2) Do your student REGISTRATION at https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in. , if not
registered.
3) Apply for the NUA-O Scholarship in that site and complete all formalities.
4) Download the self-declaration form and fill it up with all details in the form (like
Block Name, Roll No, Mob. No., Aadhar No., Bank account details etc.) and put your
signature.
5) You must take the Signature of your Witness in its place.
6) Attach documents (Xerox copy of Aadhar, Bank account, mark sheet of last exam
passed & residential certificate) with the self-declaration form and submit the hard
copy to your respective HOD’s.
7) Fill the form kept with HOD (Sl. No., Roll No & sign it). Write the same Sl. No.(NEW)
on your Self-declaration form. You can take the acknowledgement from HOD’s.

N.B.:

1) If the scholarship is availed through false self-declaration, the beneficiary will be

subjected to appropriate legal action and recovery of paid scholarships.
2) If a student does not submit the self-declaration form along with required
attachments, his/her form will not be validated. Similarly if a student is not there
in the list, but submits self-declaration form along with required attachments,
his/her forms cannot be validated.
3) Eligible students are required to submit the self-declaration form by 19-02-2024,
for necessary validation and transmission to Govt. from our side.
