Lifeguards (IQL), is the most widely accepted Pool Lifeguard Qualification throughout the UK. It is QCF accredited and has widespread international recognition too. All NPLQ courses delivered by P & P Associates include Aqua Ferno board training and certification within the cost of the NPLQ and for an additional 1/2 day training (£40 + VAT if
booked at time of booking or £60 + VAT if made after course starts) you can include AED and First Aid at Work Certification..The Qualification is in three sectionsThe Lifeguard, Swimming Pool and Supervision (12 hours) Intervention, Rescue and Emergency Action Plan (10 hours) CPR, AED and First Aid (13 hours)Consolidation and revision at end of
course (1 hour) Independent Assessment (2.5 hours). The assessment includes Multi Choice Question which is set under examination conditions. If you need any adaption for this, please complete the online reasonable adjustment policy and upload to your account prior to the commencement of the course.Pre requisitesYou must be over the age of 16
prior to assessment. You will need to demonstrate on the first session, that you can swim 100m on your front, swim 100m on your back, swim 50m in 60 seconds, jump/dive into deep water, surface dive to the floor of the deepest part of the Swimming Pool and climb out of the Swimming Pool unaided without ladder/steps.. If you are unable to
complete this during the first session in the water, you will not be able to continue with the course and will not receive a refund or transfer onto the course.Accredited Prior Learning (APL)You can APL using any of the following qualifications:RLSS National Beach Lifeguard Qualification (12 hours) HSE Approved or QCF First Aid at work Certificate (9
hours) STA Pool Lifeguard (9 hours) The maximum APL is 12 hours in total. If you wish to claim APL you need to submit copies of certificates prior to the commencement of the course by means of your online account which you will create after you are booked onto the course.First Aid at Work and Automated External Defibrillator (optional)You can be
assessed for First Aid at Work during the course. This would give you an separate QCF qualification which is valid for 3 years.

The Aqua Ferno Board qualification is valid for 24 months. The AED qualifications is valid for 24 months. General Timetable9:00-11:00 - Lifeguard, Swimming Pool and supervision11:15-13:15 - Intervention, rescue and Emergency Action Plan (will include water work)14:00-16:00 - CPR16:15-18:15 - First AidCertificationAt the end of the course you
will be provided with evidence of whether you have passed or not. The awarding body will email you a certificate to the email address you provide on the course, within 2 months.. If you do not pass the assessment, you will be given upto 28 days to complete the assessment. There will be an additional fee which is charged for this. Terms & Conditions

from the stated time of the start of each day. Delegate will be allowed to continue with the course but maybe required to stay behind at the end of the day to complete any assessment/paperwork or learning More than 15 minutes but less than 30 minutes from the stated time of the start of each day Will be at the Tutors discretion whether the learner
will be able to continue. The learner must have contacted the tutor prior to the official start time . The tutors decision is non negotiable . If the leaner is unable to continue, they will forfeit any money paid or invoiced. More than 30 minutes from the stated start time. The learner will not be able to continue with the course and will forfeit any money
