Letter of Frequentis VCS3025 Rel. 3.1 End of Life

Dear Madam or Sir,

As leading manufacturer of communication technology in safety critical environment,

Frequentis considers product longevity of utmost importance. A significant portion of our
business is in markets where extended product life cycles (more than 10 years) are required.

As with all of our products and parts, long-term availability is dependent upon many conditions
beyond Frequentis control. It is our commitment that, when conditions dictate the
discontinuation of a product or a part, that it is done with the absolute minimum disruption and
impact on our customers.

We herewith notify you that the VCS3025 Rel. 3.1 system in Kuantan has reached its end of
life.

Drivers for this discontinuation are not only the availability of some components on the VCS
interfaces but also the IT components (e.g. the TMCS server which has an outdated hardware
and the operating system which is not available on the market and not supported anymore).

What does this mean for you? Your system is still operational. This means that Frequentis has
actively discontinued the life cycle activities (e.g. HW and SW support) for this product. Spare
parts are also not available anymore and only a limited repair service is possible.

In this case Frequentis is happy to provide you with a stepwise modernisation path for your
system resulting in a new modern VCS system. This stepwise upgrade enables you to save
costs for the tendering process of new systems.
