    Honourable chairs, fellow delegates,

    The delegate of Pakistan is excited to be debating in this


    committee this week, and is looking forward to a week of
    productive debate. Pakistan is committed to collaborative
    solutions for the economic and financial challenges facing
    our world today.

    Firstly, Pakistan is determined to combat illegal wildlife


    trade, advocating for the preservation of biodiversity.
    Pakistan is working to dismantle unlawful networks that
    pose threats to our natural heritage and economic stability.

    On global inflation, Pakistan acknowledges the severe


    impact on the most vulnerable, and prioritises international
    strategies to protect those most affected by this economic
    volatility.

    In line with the discussions on ageing populations, Pakistan


    firmly believes in the establishment of robust systems that
    provide social and financial support to our elderly citizens.
    Pakistan recognizes the importance of ensuring dignity and
    respect for older individuals, and is committed to developing
    sustainable frameworks that cater to their specific needs.
