An event summary

Our company, T&T Events, was founded by students studying Travel and
Tourism at the AS Level in the Secondary Department of Kiettisack International
School. Our primary objective is to organize an educational conference that
targets junior students and encourages them to select Travel and Tourism
IGCSE as their preferred subject option.

There are eight core members in our company:

Mr. Vincent Oliver Decillo Malazarte, Mr. Phonchalath Louangsouponh,
Mr. Phonesouk Nhotxayviboun, Ms. Khaymouk Singsawatdy,
Ms. Alounmai Bounluetay, Ms. Phonesiri Vongdala, Ms. Soutikane
Manchanthasouk and Ms. Beenamthip Volabout.

We are also expecting to stimulate other associates by coordinating the first ever
cuisine event conducted by Travel and Tourism students.
We decided to host this educational seminar at the Kiettisack International
School, not just as a simple class project but also to help the junior students who
are struggling to decide which subjects to take for their future IGCSEs because
the school hasn't provided enough information on the option itself. Our AS Level
pupils sympathized with the confusion we experienced throughout junior year
when it came to making choices. The conference also makes it possible to raise
awareness about how the hospitality sector is growing globally, which
encourages participation in career choices.

We are forecasting to stimulate the school to organize educational workshops in

the future, for junior fellows who are in confusion when it comes to option
selection. We are presuming to deliver positive results to our school, students
and to the parents considering the significance of picked options in the course of
university applications.

Short description

T&T Events was established in 2022 by Secondary students who are taking
Travel and Tourism as their subjects in Kiettisack International School for
producing Travel and Tourism related events. The management consists of 8
members, each assigned with their own responsibilities.
This educational seminar would be organized within Kiettisack International
School to bring more knowledge on the subject Travel and Tourism. We would
be conducting the event during their study period, in order to not disturb their
general class periods. Two of our MC would be opening the event, with prepared
presentations. Our presentations would include the charm of the tourism industry,
impacts of tourism in Laos and more. MCs will be interacting with the junior
students through games, quizzes and questions, kind of like an ice breaker.
Games would include prizes to those who win, such as snacks. The duration of
the whole seminar would be within 1 hour.

Our perfect target customers will be students in Year 7 and 8, who have
upcoming option selection for their IGCSE. Some of the year 8 students have
already selected their option choices. However, the students are able to change
their options until early September. Furthermore, numerous parents force their
children to choose without thinking about their university applications. Providing
chances for young generations to be independent for the first time. We will be
explaining different levels of Cambridge qualifications and the reasons for
ultimate purposes.
This would definitely raise the awareness of significance on what subjects they
will select, along with the impacts.

Marketing and sales strategy

Our T&T predicts that younger students would be fascinated in this seminar due
to little to no knowledge on each of the subjects. Commonly, most of the IGCSE
students tend to choose Travel and Tourism since it sounds less complicated
than science subjects such as chemistry. This happens often in humanities
subjects like art and design. Thus, it is also mandatory to test the chosen IGCSE
subjects in every May/June. If students are unmotivated with their studies, there
will be more percentages of people failing. These factors could be prevented, as
well as influencing the other subjects.

Kiettisack International School also allows students who study Lao class in
higher levels than English Curriculum to jump their grades. It seems favorable to
upgrade their year grades. In contrast, this means that the students would lose a
chance to attend school to obtain A level certificates. We would be emphasizing
the importance of A level in terms of university applications and knowledge
levels.

In addition of giving out prizes at mini games held in between the presentations,
T&T Events are proceeding to deliver certification of attendance signed by our
Teachers which would be beneficial for the students. For particularly interested
students, we are also planning to hand out brochures for further informations on
the Tourism industry.

Our main promotional platform is the poster we will be distributing to the Year 7 &
8 sections of the school. Poster would be the most noticeable factor in the
school, considering frequent contacts between the students and the poster. This
would raise awareness of the seminar occurring on March 20th 2023, Monday.
