Four-panel Folding screen, double-sided, made by Gaston Suisse one on the most talented lacquerer of
his day.

I chose this piece because, we are learning the laque, particulary, in this moment, the architectural
decor. However, the traditionnal decor give a ''deja vu'' impression. I think this decors as most actuall,
most graphic, and a good interpretation of the New York city, the graphic forms, give very well the New-
York impression : the height, the immensity and modernity.

Américain expeditionnary force is non profits organisation whose aim is toi soutain the War veteran
promoting their life. In 1936 Begin a mausoleum project, built on the plot gave by the city, the
mausoleum was inaugurated in May 28-39.

This painting inspires me. I don't know, it because a depht, or the color, or also the largest cloud above
the américain flag. But all element do grow up the importance of this tableau. The paleness of this
painting make me moved. The Big shadows of the tree who longs the ground remember the life, life who
persévère despites the death.

Reflecting the commitment of the times, defend the endangered nature.

Eero Saarinen

Who ? Eero Saarinen is of finnish descent

When ? 20th century (twenty)

What ? Americain architect and designer, he take over his father's company, and created a important
variety of building and construction. His style evolves over times, before caracterised by a rectiligne
forms, then, many curve in his conceptions.

Design

He also designer, and mades fournitures in collaboration with other society as ''koll society'' when he
made the ''tulip'' chair. ( Chair made in once piece which, the red's sat which the back if the chair have
the petal tulip form's, it elegance and mouvement)

Design architecture

During a monument's contest, Eero win with the Gatway arch de saint louis to pay tribute at the
west'conquest and its pionnier particulary Thomas Jefferson.

The realisation of this project began After the death of the artiste.

Actually the artist left us a rich legacy , many drawning and furnitures are in permanent exposition in
the Museum of modern art of New York.
