    Prokaryotes: Evolved roughly 3.5 billion years ago and grew to a fixed size and reproduced by

    binary fission.

    Eukaryotes: perform anaerobic metabolism.

    throughout the interphase.

    Acellular Pathogens: Mutation causes minor genetic alterations.

    Antimicrobial drugs: stop microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, and fungus from growing.

    Pathogens: are eliminated, and their development is prevented by adaptive immunity.

    Innate immunity: is the body's defense system that prevents hazardous substances from

    entering.

    Epidemiology: is the study of disease transmission and control.

    Biotechnology: aids in the knowledge of genetics.

    Nucleic acid and antigen are the two biochemical components of acellular pathogens.
