Dear Lisa,

Today I examined "Chynna"s pups and we found both the black female and the fawn panda sable female to have very small
reducable umbilical hernias.
Umbilical hernias occur when the the hole in the abdominal wall where the umbilical cord left the puppy does not close up. In
these two pups the hole in the abdominal walls are very tiny and it is likely only a small amount of fat is able the sneak
through the opening and sit under the skin. Usually these small hernias will seal over time or if not they are often not treated
as they dont cause any issues. It is usually only larger defects where there are complications and surgical correction is
required. If we were to correct these surgically it would be advisable to wait and combine the procedure with their spey.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,
Michelle Vincent
