For this lesson I had students follow along on Nearpod for my introduction lesson,
students were engaged in different types of activities on the Nearpod to get practice with
comparing and making equivalent fractions. After the lesson students went to Canva to create an
infographic about equivalent fractions. My students love to type and put clipart into things, so
they really enjoyed being able to make the infographic and then see them posted around the
classroom.
For this lesson what I would have done differently was tried to combine the two
Nearpod’s that I used into one presentation because I think I ended up losing a lot of their
attention while they were swapping from one presentation to another with a different code. I
noticed when I was watching my video back that I said um a lot and I did not give students
enough time to finish their part of the Nearpod where they had to work independently, I tend to
