PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
This point is in contrary with what I have
experienced, past years, when Wi-Fi is not yet present
at our locality. I don’t have any access to the internet
since we are living in a mountainous area, where signal
or internet connectivity is poor.
Supporting the net neutrality, by means of suggesting
the ‘internet for all’ project during our Barangay
Assembly Meeting. Blog making or participating in a
podcast in which the content is all about Internet.
Internet is a powerful tool for association, I have
created facebook page of our SHS organization, where
we can freely express our thoughts and opinions. I can
also freely express my thoughts and feelings to my
friends and people around me using the medium, which
the technology provides (apps like messenger,
facebook, Instagram).
I have the capability to on what information I want to
disclose and not to disclose to my friends. For instance,
my Facebook photos and my informations are private
and only I have the power to keep it or show it.
Facebooks opens a safe and welcoming space for
people of all genders. It has community standards to
prevent online harassment and discrimination, in
which, if you disobeyed to their standards your account
will be restricted.
I can access a variety of resources such as libraries
and sites, like google scholar which really helped me a
lot in finding related studies of our research project.
Another is the WIKIPEDIA, the resources from this
site are free as well as the authors are the volunteers
around the world.
We utilized the internet through searching for some
new recipes that were best to sell, this happened during
our SHS immersion program. As what I have observed
there is a certain site on which you can find job online.
I have also experienced online selling.
Using Khan Academy website and Youtube channel,
since this hosts free educational resources that helped
me a lot, specifically, explaining difficult lessons in
Mathematics.
I have the freedom to change my passwords on any
of my social media accounts. Another is that, I have
experienced a warning before proceeding to a site that
cannot guarantee the safety of my account, which goes
“WARNING! MALICIOUS SITES”
Project making about creating infographics about
environmental sustainability and our professor let us to
post our work in any of our social media accounts in
order to reach a huge number of people.
