Parents: 1-100 number squares are widely used in schools as they show children some of the natural patterns in
numbers and enable them to investigate how numbers relate. If a child can fill in random sections of a number square
as in these activities, they are showing a good understanding of number patterns and place value. If necessary, let your
child have a glimpse of the whole number square, but encourage them to try and think about how number patterns
