REVISION IN THE CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE PAYABLE TO BLIND AND

ORTHOPEDICALLY HANDICAPPED STAFF MEMBERS OF OUR BANK

Ref: HO Circular no. 92 –2006-BC-STF dated 30.9.2006

Attention of the Branches/Offices is drawn to the captioned subject.

At present the Bank has been paying the Conveyance allowance to disabled staff
members in terms of GOI directives, @ of 5 % of pay, subject to a maximum of
Rs.200/- per month.

Now we are in receipt of communication from NABARD vide its letter no.
NB.IDD.RRCBD( Staff)/316 ( Gen) /2010-11 dated 08.06.2010 enclosing Ministry of
Finance, Department of Financial Services , Government of India letter no. 3/5/2007-
SCT (B) dated 18.02.2009 wherein it is informed that the Government of India has
approved the upward revision of the rate of conveyance allowance for disabled
employees ( Blind and Orthopedically handicapped employees) in the Public sector
Banks/Financial institutions from Rs.200/- to Rs,.400/- per month .

The matter is placed in the Board meeting held on 08.07.2010 and Board of Directors
have approved the revision in the conveyance allowance being paid to Blind and
Orthopedically handicapped staff members from Rs.200/- to Rs.400/- per month
w.e.f. 18.02.09.

Accordingly, the said allowance is revised to Rs.400/- per moth w.e.f. 18.02.09 in
case of Blind and orthopedically handicapped staff members who are being paid
Rs.200/- as conveyance allowance in their salaries. The arrears of conveyance
allowance on account of its revision to Rs.400/- will be paid in due course.

Further , Government of Andhra Pradesh vide its notification dated 02.08.2007 has
made an announcement exempting physically handicapped employees with 40 %
disability of any kind from making Profession Tax payment subject to production of
valid certificate obtained from the Head of the concerned department of a
Government Civil Hospital. Branch Managers are advised to take note of the same
and act accordingly.

This circular shall be circulated among all staff members working at Branch/Office.
