DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE SHEETFED SCANNER AND FLATBED SCANNER

Sheetfed and Flatbed scanners are AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDERS, although they have their similarities they
also have differences. Flatbed scanners has a lid and underneath it a glass panel , the document is placed
on the glass panel, the light illuminates the paper, and with the help of lens but a sheetfed scanner the
document is placed on the glass panel, the light illuminates the paper, and with the help of lens. Flatbed
scanners deals with one paper at a time while sheetfed scanners allow us to feed a batch of documents
once in its feeder. Flatbeds are able to scan documents at a higher quality than
the sheetfed alternative, they are much more time consuming as they cannot scan as fast .
