Chelsea FC

Chelsea football club was formed in 1905 in London. The club wasn’t always one of the biggest name
in English football. It was a slow start for the London based football club. But in 2005 it was bought
by Russian millionaire Roman Abramovich. Since then, it has been an upwards ride for The Blues.
They first won the Premier league in 2005, 50 years after they last won the title. That season, under
the genius of Jose Mourinho, the Blues defense only conceded 15 goals. That has been a record ever
since. Mourinho built an excellent team, with the great spine. Even tough, Mourinho was sacked
before Chelsea could lift the Champions League for the first time, it was exactly that spine that
brought European glory to London for the first time.

Counter attacking football has always been a Chelsea way of playing. Even after years of success
they’ve only won their second Champions league this year. But Chelsea have looked dangerous for
years now. The only trophy they haven’t won yet is the Club World Cup, which they have qualified
for this year. Chelsea are currently sitting at the top of the Premier league after 5 match weeks.
