READING
Every school-going child has something to say about their school. Some students enjoy
school because it has activities that interest them and they have good friends to play with.
However others have different experiences. You know, school may be the last place
where they want to be. Some always want to escape from school with boring lessons and
tests because there is nothing interesting for them there. So what can be done to make
schools a place that all students want to go to every day?
Fun activities: One way to encourage students to enjoy school is to involve them in
activities that make them interested. We can make Physical Education at school
interesting by teaching simple dances with modern music instead of boring exercise.
Providing students with various outside class activities, like hiking or obstacle courses,
or with more new clubs involving sports, music, or movies, can also be a good way.
Make school feel a little like home: No one likes to stay in an uncomfortable
environment. Therefore, students should be allowed to decorate their classrooms or
dorms with pictures of family, friends or even idols to make school homely. Then, they
will feel happier and more comfortable.
Encourage socializing: In order for students to think that school is about more than just
studying; outings or field trips should be organized once in a while. This will help
students get to know other people outside their school, as well learn the art of socializing.
