CASE STUDY#1

I. Main Problem
The main problem is that the completion of time to produce ERP system and deliver to
the customers take a long time, causing customers to complain.

II. Specific Problem

a. the waiting time for the completion of ERP takes a longer more than expected.

b. Mr. Losa the owner of the company is yet to retire but there’s no one in his family
is willing to take over his position.

c. Lomg duration of time to produce ERP system.

d. Customer complains.

III. Facts of the case

a. Reese technology, Inc. Is a company that develops software programs, including
customized resource planning systems (ERP) for companies.

b. The company hires many personnel to ensure the quality of its product and
development. However, the waiting time for the completion of each ERP system
takes longer than expected, causing the customer to complain.

c. Rees Technologies, Inc. also provides information technology training to other

companies.

d. Rees Technologies Inc. is a company owned by Mr. Losa.

IV. Alternative Solution

a. Optimize inventory management using an ERP system to produce downtime and
faster
leads time.
b. Implement an ERP system to reduce manufacturing leads time, which is one of the
major roadblocks to increased productivity and profit.
c. Improve lead time by optimizing the ERP system.
d. Hire a professional that is capable and knowledgeable enough in managing company
to take over the position of Mr. Losa.

V. Recommendations
a. hire additional staff to increase the capacity for producing and delivering ERP system

to customers.
b. Continuously monitor and evaluate the development process to identify areas for
improvement and implement changes as needed.
c. Consider outsourcing some aspects of the development process to third-party
providers to reduce waiting times and improve efficiency
