● The school is the extension of community, vice versa.


The purpose of the community service program
● To prepare the student to become responsible and active citizens.
● To become aware of the multiple needs of the community.
● To have a sense of moral obligations to help those less fortunate and make the
community a better place.

Assessment of community needs
The activity of research to identify the strength, needs and gap between the current
condition and desirable condition.
To achieve its goals the community through

2. Understand the rights and duties of citizens in a democratic society.
3. Developing and maintaining health and physical fitness.
The reason for researching the community problem.

○ Determine the gap between the vision of community against the reality, for
undertaking outreach program should be known

○ Assessing the exact number of people affected by the issues at hand.

○ Determine the awareness of the problem and the relationship of it with the
community’s doing to solve the problem.

Community approach deliberate participating in process, Community mobilization

Social mobilization is an approach that empowerment the community to participate
actively in the development process through the leadership of the NSTP student.
