 Cattenom Nuclear Power Plant:

One of Europe's largest nuclear power plants and the twelfth largest in the world is the Cattenom facility
in northeastern France. By producing electricity, delivering dependable power, lowering carbon
emissions, strengthening energy security, and boosting the local economy, it greatly strengthens France's
energy infrastructure. It uses four pressurized water reactors, each of which can generate 1300 MW of
electricity, to power its operations.

Key elements including closeness to a water source, plenty of land, availability of an electrical grid,
infrastructure, and a sparse population density must be considered in Belize for a nuclear power plant to
function well. It has been determined that the northern regions of Belize, particularly Corozal near the
shore, are excellent locations for such a plant.

 Genkai Nuclear Power Plant:

The Genkai Nuclear Power Station in Japan began commercial operation in October 1975 and has four
pressurized water reactors. These reactors work by generating heat through nuclear fission in uranium
fuel, transferring the heat to a primary system's water, which then goes to a steam generator. The steam
produced drives a turbine generator to create electricity. The station originally generated 3,478
megawatts of electricity, but after decommissioning units 1 and 2, it now generates 2,360 megawatts.
The uranium fuel used is 4% enriched uranium dioxide.

In Belize, particularly on a 1.3 square mile tract of land along the northern highway close to Belize City, a
similar model might be successful. This area was selected due to its accessibility to both the Belize River
and the Sea, its likeness to the surroundings in Genkai, Japan, and the properties of the soil. The plan
would be ideal for providing electricity to Ladyville, Hattieville, and Burrell Boom in Belize City and other
adjacent communities.
