Sample Answer:
Sir, I believe I’m a fit for this institution and have researched about the college enough
to be sure that it’s the perfect fit for me too. Having said that, if you find a candidate who
is more suited to be a part of the program and can add more value, that’s when you
shouldn’t select me because I would also want that the best of us make it to this
institute. It will help everyone grow in the process.
Guidelines:
1. Confidence: Start this answer by a confident statement admitting that you’re a fit
for the institute and vice-versa (yellow). At any given point of time, you must
never admit that you’re not good enough to be a part of that institute. NO
MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. They might force you to admit, might stress you out,
may repeat your weaknesses - remember, you wouldn’t have wasted their time
as well as yours by going for the interview if you didn’t think you were a fit. So,
stand by your initial understanding and say that you’re a fit.
2. Humility: Through this question, they’re truly spotting someone who is egoistic or
insecure. If you say I’m perfect you’re the former and if you say you’re useless,
you’re the latter. You have to stick in the middle and stay humble. They asked
you a question, so you give them a fair answer - they shouldn’t select you if they
find someone better than you (green). As simple as that. So, tell them that.
