IMPORTANT INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

1. Tell me something about yourself


It is one a frequent question during an interview. You answer must be short and crisp
and to the point.
Sample answers:
“Thank you for this opportunity sir/ma’am. I am from xyz city and belong to a nuclear
family. My father is a private employee and my mother is a house wife. On an individual
front I perceive myself as a confident and hardworking individual. I am fast learner and
carry any task assigned to me without any hesitation. In case of any doubt I never
hesitate to put forth my questions. I am a creative person and love to test my
boundaries and I keep pushing myself to think out of the box.

PLUS you can give a brief intro of your schooling your college and other academic
achievements.
2. What are your strengths and weakness?
This is a very common question. Don’t just brag on your strengths or tell them all about
your weakness. Instead present your weakness in the bag of strengths.
Sample answer:
As for the strengths I am a motivated, committed and honest person. I easily forgive
people because I hate to jeep grudges in my heart. My weakness is that I don’t like to be
interrupted while onto something or concentrating on something. Plus I am a bit
impatient which makes me a quick learner. I also sometimes behave like a perfectionist
in certain situation however I do believe that there is always a room for improvement.

3. How would you handle a conflicting situation?


Sample answer:
Conflicts are a natural human behavior. In case of conflict i usually go and talk with the
person I am having conflict with. I listen to the point of view and identify points of
agreement and disagreement. And then devise an appropriate plan to address that
conflict.

4. Are you a team player or a lone ranger?


Sample answer:
It depends upon a situation. But one thing I may assure that I am not a lone ranger.
Because whenever I am assigned a task at an individual level. I tend to seek advice or
help in cases of any doubts.
While in a team activity I keep my communication channels open all the time to ensure
that the project stayed in track. I believe that everyone is unique in its own way so
when we combine skills of all the team members we produce a result which is
impossible to produce individually.

5. Why our company?


Do some homework on the company history.
Sample answer:
This company is one of the leading companies of our country with clients in all fields. By
joining this company it would provide me an opportunity to work with different fields
plus I would be able to learn a lot under the supervision of the highly competent staff of
yours.
There are countless answers for this question however you must include the history of
company with it.

6. Hard work or smart work?


Sample answer:
Hard work is what every bread winner does today including a taxi driver or a daily
wager. Smart work is what educated people are supposed to do because I believe that a
well-balanced combination of both hard and smart work is the formula of success.

7. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?


This is one of the most frequent and common question.
Sample answer:
My current goal is to find a career spot in a leading company like yours to ensure a
continued growth. 5 years from now I see myself as an experienced and competent
professional. And GOD knows might be planning for a startup

Some other questions are

What motivates you? (Answer for this varies from person to person)

How do you respond to change?
Can you describe your time management skills?

What do you know about our company?
Why should we hire you?
When your interview comes to an end interviewer asks you “do you have any
questions”

Never say no in this situation

Ask some questions related to learning norms etc.
