As I eagerly anticipate attending "Pagsabot: Building Resilient Communities for

Suicide Prevention," my expectations are grounded in the hope of witnessing a
collaborative effort towards fostering resilience and support networks within our
communities. This event promises to be a vital platform for discussing and addressing
the sensitive issue of suicide prevention with compassion and understanding. I expect
to engage in meaningful dialogue with experts, advocates, and community members
alike, sharing insights and best practices in promoting mental health and well-being.
Furthermore, I anticipate gaining a deeper understanding of the multifaceted factors
contributing to suicide risk and resilience, empowering us to implement effective
interventions and support systems. Through interactive workshops, insightful
presentations, and personal testimonies, I hope to emerge from the event equipped with
tangible strategies and renewed determination to contribute to the creation of resilient
communities where individuals feel supported, valued, and understood. Ultimately,
"Pagsabot" represents an invaluable opportunity to unite in our commitment to
preventing suicide and nurturing environments where hope and healing can flourish.

The speakers at "Pagsabot: Building Resilient Communities for Suicide Prevention"

demonstrated a remarkable commitment to their topics, emphasizing the importance of

engaging with local communities in addressing mental health challenges. Their insights

were not only enlightening but also deeply impactful, highlighting the significance of

grassroots efforts in suicide prevention. I am particularly grateful for their emphasis on

inclusivity, which allowed students from various schools to actively participate and learn

from the event. The opportunity for cross-school collaboration enriched our

understanding and underscored the universality of mental health issues. Given the
recent string of suicide events here in Cagayan de Oro, the timing of this event couldn't

be more relevant. It serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity, rallying us together to

address the pressing need for support and intervention in our communities. The lessons

learned and connections made during "Pagsabot" will undoubtedly pave the way for a

more compassionate and resilient response to mental health challenges in our city.
