This puzzling question “What is a meaningful life?

” has always been the question that leaves

anyone hanging if you try to ask them. Perhaps they are having a hard time thinking an answer for the
said question. Do you ever wonder why we often have a hard time articulating an answer for this
question? It’s probably because we haven’t had a meaningful life yet or due to the fact that we cannot
see its meaning because we are clouded by emotions and feeling of discontentment.

A meaningful life is when we know how to find its purpose, significance, satisfaction, and
fulfilment. These aspects that comprise the ideology of a meaningful life are one way that would lead us
there. Through engagement in activities that develops our skills and brings joy and satisfaction, it helps
us live a meaningful life because the key to reach this one is to find happiness in everything that we do,
be grateful for what we have but never stop aiming for the things that would eventually bring
contentment to us. In addition, developing a sense of connection with the world that revolves around us
is also a great factor in having a meaningful life because we learn on how to grow around others despite
the differences and circumstances that sometimes contribute to our failure. On top of that, if we learn
on how to stand up and reflect on our mistakes, this means that we value the importance of self-
development.

As someone who is currently trying to romanticize the art of being alone as it brings peace and I
get to develop a stronger relationship with myself, I consider this as something that brings happiness to
me. Thus, I am able to live a meaningful life because this is how I define happiness and it makes me feel
satisfied.
