b. Implement an IoT platform for data aggregation, analysis, and communication.
c. Create a user-friendly interface for waste management authorities to monitor and optimize collection
routes.
d. Reduce environmental impact by minimizing overflowing bins and optimizing waste collection schedules.

RESOURCES a. Hardware: Arduino microcontrollers, ultrasonic or infrared sensors, GSM/GPRS modules for
communication, solar panels for power efficiency.
b. Software: Arduino IDE for programming, IoT platforms for data management, route optimization
algorithms.
c. Materials: Weather-resistant enclosures for electronic components, sturdy bins with sensor mounts.

RISKS a. Sensor Accuracy: Ensuring precise measurement of waste levels to avoid false alerts or inefficient
collections.
b. Communication Reliability: Addressing potential connectivity issues in transmitting data from sensors to
the centralized platform.
c. Data Security: Implementing encryption and secure communication protocols to protect sensitive waste
management data.
d. Public Acceptance: Considering public perceptions and concerns regarding the implementation of smart
waste management systems in local communities.

PROBLEM 3

BACKGROUND With the increasing urbanization and a growing number of vehicles, traditional parking systems face
challenges in providing real-time information and optimizing parking space utilization.
