BTVTED-3C-DT-B REFLECTION PAPER

REFLECTION PAPER about the MPC PANDAYANIHAN INAUGRATION PROGRAM:

On September 29, 2023, Marikina Polytechnic College (MPC) officially opened its state-
of-the-art Academic Building (Gusaling Pang-Akademiko). The institution's unrelenting pursuit of
academic excellence and modernization reached a crucial turning point with the occurrence of this
event. Personally, it was so fun don’t always have these kinds of events in our school so I really had a
great time and I am with my classmates so it adds so much fun and we are all happy to witness history in
our school as the Academic Building as about to be blessed and open.

The first formal speaker aside from the event hosts was 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐳
𝐀. As the special guest, Quimbo, a representative for Marikina City's 2nd District, grabbed the podium
and gave a keynote speech that touched those in attendance. Her remarks emphasized MPC's
transformation into one of the few SMART Campuses in the nation and outlined the institution's
transformational journey. Notably, Congresswoman Stella and her husband, former Deputy House
Speaker Romero Federico S. Quimbo, were instrumental in providing the impetus for the Academic
Building's construction, which the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed
successfully. She said that she is so proud of what the MPC turn out to be and she can’t wait to witness a
lot of the things the MPC is going to conquer as this is one of those steps.

In a touching video message, CHED Commissioner and MPC BOT Chair Dr. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐑.
Canapi offered the votes of thanks, expressing appreciation for the teamwork that made this amazing
accomplishment possible. As she can’t be there, she still delivers a heartwarming message.

Prominent individuals, including Dr. CHED Chairman, attended the inaugural ceremony.
𝐉. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐄. De VeraIII sent MPC a video message with his best wishes. 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀'𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫

occasion were notable people, including Dr. 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐨 𝐀. 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞
𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐬 (𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐂) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞
𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, and 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐏𝐂 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐁. Gutierrez, who during his term began work
on the Academic Building. The presence of representatives from TESDA and SUCs across the National
Capital Region at the occasion further demonstrated the broad support and admiration for MPC's
dedication to educational excellence.
This outstanding accomplishment is a result of the commitment and diligence of the whole MPC
team, under the direction of Dr. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐌. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐫. The occasion demonstrated MPC's dedication to
academic achievement and its ambition to change education in Marikina City and beyond. The school
looks forward with fresh zeal and commitment, confident in its ability to mold the upcoming generation
of leaders and innovators, as the curtains rise on MPC's new Academic Building and the promise of a
modernized campus.

As so the speakers were continuing their messages, what touched me the most is the
way their messages will affect in the upcoming days as a student of MPC. I am over the roof as I am one
of those people who will experience and witness the achievement of MPC for all the times that I am
going to study. Thank you MPC
