• Synopsis: This course focuses on a practical introduction to the activities in the teaching of creative
writing in the primary ESL classroom. This course hopes to enable TESL students to enhance their
knowledge in teaching creative writing. It concentrates on the constituents and benefits of creative
writing, the theories and considerations in teaching creative writing, besides introducing the features in
developing and designing creative writing activities for young learners and exposing them to features of
creative writing activities in the ESL classrooms through digital media. The rationale for this course is to
provide TESL students with the knowledge and skills in teaching creative writing in the primary ESL
classroom.
