DELIVERY LEAD TIME : RAILS

Order Placement

The client sends a Purchase Order with the complete item description, quantity required and price.

Order Acknowledgement and Confirmation

When we receive the order, we will send acknowledgement of the order within 2 days

Ordering of Input Material

The order for the rails is placed with the Rolling Mill.
There must be minimum required quantities before order placement.
This is completed within a week of receiving the order.
The production of rails takes about 2 months based on the total order volumes.

Shipping / Delivery of Material

When the rolling mill receives the order, they schedule the production.
The shipping takes 2-3 months
Once the rolling is completed the rails are loaded and ready to be shipped.

Clearing and Offloading

Rails take another 1-2 weeks for clearing and offloading.


Delivery to Factory

Rails take a week to be delivered to the factory.

Inspection of Goods

On arrival, good are inspected to confirm they comply with specifications. This takes 1 – 2 days.

Manufacturing

No additional process for rails.

Storage of Finished Goods

Rails are kept in the storage yard to await despatch.

Notice to client that material is ready for collection

Client is notified that rails are ready for collection or despatch.

Client Inspection

Client may come and inspect finished goods if desired.

Despatch

Items are despatched.

The total lead time for the delivery of rails is 5 – 6 months from date of order.
