License types
Information about types of licenses used to register clusters. The license type is based on registration mode and the platforms used.

The license types are based on the registration mode used to register the clusters. There are two types of licenses: SaaS licenses used in SaaS mode and
Software licenses that are used in all configurations other than SaaS.

The licenses are also classified based on the platforms used. Each set of licenses can be applied to specific platforms only. For example, there are licenses
for Rubrik appliances that can be only applied to Rubrik appliances, and there are licenses for third-party appliances that can be applied only to third-party
appliances. There are also licenses that support software platform such as Rubrik Edge or Rubrik Virtual Clusters.

In addition to these, there are Scale licenses that can be applied to all clusters irrespective of the platform type. You can use scale licenses to register
clusters belonging to any platform.
