Employee Rights and Employee Rights
- The right to hire and dismiss employees in accordance with the provisions of the Act³⁴.
- The right to determine the wages and salaries of employees, subject to the minimum wages
prescribed by the Act or any collective bargaining agreement³⁴.
- The right to manage and control the business, including the right to assign tasks, supervise work, and
discipline employees for misconduct or poor performance³⁴.
- The right to fair labour standards, including the right to a written contract of employment, the right
to fair remuneration, the right to reasonable working hours, the right to leave and holidays, and the right
to social security benefits³⁴.
- The right to freedom of association, including the right to join or form a trade union or a workers
committee, and the right to participate in collective bargaining and industrial action³⁴.
- The right to protection against discrimination, including the right to equal treatment and equal
opportunities in employment, and the right to be free from harassment, victimization, or unfair dismissal
on the grounds of race, gender, religion, political opinion, or any other arbitrary factor³⁴.
- The right to protection against forced labour, including the right to refuse to perform work that is
hazardous, harmful, or degrading, and the right to be free from any form of coercion, intimidation, or
threat in relation to work³⁴.
