3.2 Priming
a. Old floor with existing epoxy coating.
i. Prime the prepared surfaces with one coat of StoPox WG 100, contact primer. The application
is by roller at coverage of approx. 0.15 to 0.20 kg/m².
ii. StoPox WG 100 comes in 2 components at a ratio of 5:1. Comp. A is 10 kg and comp. B is 2
kg.
iii. Mixing is first done by agitating the comp. A with a scraper to loosen up some settlement at
the base. This happened when the material was stored for sometimes. Next, mix comp. A
with a mechanical mixer fitted with stirrer until it is homogenous, pour in the whole content of
comp. B and mix again until homogenous. Add in 10% water to dilute the material and mix
again. Transfer to a new container, mix for few seconds and use the material from this
container.
b. On new concrete floor
i. Prime the prepared surface with one coat of StoPox GH 205. The application is by pouring
the primer onto the floor, spread and press into the concrete pores with suitable rubber
squeegee such as Sto-Rubber Squeegee (Art. Nr -17400-005) and cross-roll with a roller.
The coverage is approx.. 0.2 to 0.25 kg/m².
ii. Mixing is by adding comp. B into comp. A and stir with a mechanical mixer until it is
homogenous. Transfer to a new container, mix for few seconds and use the material from this
container.
c. Scratch leveller
i. If the subfloor is uneven, we recommend applying a layer of scratch coat consisting of 1 part
StoPox GH 205 and 1 part of fine quartz sand such as Sto Filler 60/100.
ii. The application is by pouring the material onto the floor and scratch sharply with flat blade
smoothing trowel.

3.3 Grounding point

a. We recommend for all our ESD floors, the ground points should be at every 100 m². The grounding
points should distribute as evenly as possible and no point on the surface should be further than 10 m
from grounding point. Larger distances can be bridged with the conductive ribbon StoDivers LB 100.
b. The grounding point is by installing StoDivers LS, grounding set. It should be at area with low
mechanical load of approx. 30 to 100 mm from wall or column.
c. The installation is by drilling a diameter 10 mm hole of 800 mm deep, clean surface of drilling dust,
adhere a strip of copper tape to the left and right side of hole, place the square board with hole align
to the drilled hole, insert high performance anchor with washer, tap with a hammer and tighten anchor.
Place the blue plastic tube on the protruded thread to protect it against epoxy contamination.
d. Ensure that the protruded thread is just enough for the M6 clip nut to be installed later.

3.4 Intermediate conductive layer
a. This layer is the most important of the whole system; it bridges the finished layer and the grounding
point to earth.
b. The product is StoPox WL 118 (for human protection to meets VDE 0100-410). It comes with 10 kg
of comp. A (black) and 2 kg of comp. B at ratio of 5 : 1.
c. Mixing is first done by agitating the comp. A with a scraper to loosen up some settlement at the base.
This happened when the material was stored for sometimes. Next, mix comp. A with a mechanical
mixer fitted with stirrer until it is homogenous, pour in the whole content of comp. B and mix again
until homogenous. Add in 10% water to dilute the material and mix again. Transfer to a new container,
mix for few seconds and use the material from this container.
d. Dilute StoPox WL 118 with approximately 10% of water and apply it using a rubber squeegee or roller
at the coverage of approx. 0.15 to 0.20 kg/m².
e. Allow the coating to cure for one day and check the resistance to ground (Rg) before proceeding to
the finishing layer. Rg for StoPox WL 118 must be ≤ 1 x 106 Ω.

3.5 Finished layer

a. To avoid partial fiber accumulation, StoPox KU 611 must be applied uniformly with a rough toothed
rake (tooth shape 48) and immediately refinish it crosswise with a spiked roller.

b. StoPox KU 611 is supplied in 24.78 kg of comp. A and 5.22 kg of comp. B

Transfer to a new container, mix for few seconds and use the material from this
container.
d. The application is by spreading the material with toothed blade trowel and ventilate with spike roller.
Pour the material onto the floor, spread with toothed-trowel fitted with Tooth Shape 95 (Art. Nr -
08373-021) in reverse direction and ventilate the layer to release trapped air with Sto Spike Roller,
spike length 12mm, 250 mm ((Art. Nr -17406-001) or 500 mm (Art. Nr -17406-003). The coverage is
approx. at 1.3 kg/m²/mm.
e. Cure the finished layer before subjected to mechanical stress. Light traffic, 2 days and heavy traffic,
7 days.
