    Procedure;-
    For the production of Galvanized Octagonal Pole, Ungalavanized pole is
    used as starting material. Un galvanized pole are sent to surface treatment
    section and galvanizing section. The surface treatment prior to galvanizing
    consisit of pickling. The surface is rinsed by water and passes through HCL
    bath for pickling. To avoid the attack of acid on the base metal pickling
    additives are added.

    The galvanizing bath is oil/diesel fired furnace where zinc,lead,aluminium


    alloy,special flux and various other chemicals are added depending upon the
    requirement. The lead content of the galvanizing bath is about 10 % of the
    total content of the bath. The product from pickling process is dipped into the
    zinc solution and then cooled in quenching. The product is than stored after
    Inspection.
