A. Grammar: Conjunction: liên từ (được dùng để liên kết hai từ, cụm từ hoặc liên kết hai
mệnh đề lại với nhau).
Examples:
- She is beautiful and kind.
- Because I wake up late, I am late for school.

I."and"(và): dùng để thêm thông tin vào câu nói

Examples:
- My hobbies are playing soccer and listening to music.
- I love eating Pho and noodles.

II."but"(nhưng): dùng để nêu lên hai thông tin đối ngược nhau
Examples:
- I want other car but I have no money.
- She is poor but she is always happy.

III."or” (hoặc): dùng để giới thiệu một khả năng khác hoặc một lựa chọn khác
Examples:
- Would you like tea or coffee?
- In my free time, I often play video games or watch cartoons.

IV. "so"(do đó, cho nên, vì vậy): dùng để chỉ kết quả, hệ quả, phía trước “so” luôn có dấu phẩy
ngăn cách.
Examples:
- It’s raining, so I’ll stay home and read.
- I woke up late this morning so I can’t go to school on time.

V. "because" (bởi vì): dùng để chỉ nguyên nhân, luôn đứng trước mệnh đề phụ thuộc
Examples:
- I failed my exam because I didn’t study.
- I want to buy some flowers because today is my mom’s birthday.

VI. "however"(tuy nhiên): dùng để giới thiệu một sự việc có ý nghĩa trái ngược với sự việc
được nhắc trước đó. Liên từ này phải được ngăn cách với 2 mệnh đề bằng dấu ", ," hoặc ", ;"

I’m a big fan of watching knowledge TV programs. So, today I’d like to share with you my
favorite TV program. This is “Who is a Millionaire”. It’s kind of a game show and is very
popular in Viet Nam. Everyone loves watching it. Because it’s a fantastic and interesting game.

It broadcasts every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. on the VTV3 channel. Let me explain to you “Who is a
Millionaire” is a quiz program of knowledge. The player will be asked to answer 15 multiple-
choice questions. There are many different topics, requiring players to have extensive
knowledge. There are 3 important question milestones, which are 5, 10, and 15. The player will
have 4 rights to help. So when the players pass 15 questions, they will receive an amount worth
150 million VND.

I usually watch it with my family, we try to guess as many correct answers as possible. I think
“Who is a Millionaire” is also an educational program as well because I can learn a lot from it.
It helps me broaden my knowledge and relax hard working days at school.

I love this program very much. I can’t wait to watch it next Tuesday.
