ASTAVAKRA GEETA
PREFACE
Astavakra Geeta is a wonder full scripture for all those who desire
salvation. This is collection of 298 verses authored by great sage
Astavakra in twenty chapters. Every chapter is its own kind and
complete in itself. One can get direct description of truth.
When Astavkra was still in womb of his mother and his father a great
Vedic scholar used to chant Vedic mystic words loudly. Astavkra used
to listen those sacred tests within womb of his mother. One day from
the mother’s womb Astavkra said there is no knowledge in scriptures
but verses only. Astvakra said real knowledge is within and words
cannot carry truth. No sooner father of Astavkra heard these words got
angry. He cursed the boy in the womb to get twisted from eight places.
That is the reason why he was called Astavkra.

King Janak invited all the scholars to his court for debate on
divinity. Father of Astavkra also participated. Debate started and
went on till evening. Suddenly Astavakra who was at home, got
informed that his father may not win in the debate. Though he
defeated almost all but he lost hopes in discussion with one.
Astavakra came to court where debate was going on. It was almost
decided that his father was to lose. Astavkra entered the court in
eleventh hour. On seeing his twisted body all great scholars,
participating in debate laughed at him. Astavakra also laughed
loudly.
King Janak could not understand why Astavakra was laughing. King
asked Astavakra: I can understand why all laughing but I am not able
to understand why are you laughing? Astavakra said – O King; why
have you arranged this meeting with all these cobblers? He declared
all those present were cobblers. King Janak with great surprise asked
Astavakra why he said so. Astavkra replied –very simple.
My skin is visible to them but not me. Look at light existing in me.
In fact it was a shocking announcement. Every courtier was taken
aback. They have had no word to express their feeling. Their faces
turned pale. King stood and bowed to him. King said: you are
great. You have really impressed me. Please step in. Your
knowledge is really wonderful. We would like to listen more.

After the blessing of Astavakra , Janak could not remain same as he was.
Janak totally transformed “himself” from body to soul. He became observer
of his body and he was known as “Videh raj” means body less.

CHAPTER ONE
``
Where are you running in search of God? Stop; and relax. God is not
attained by running. It is hidden within the runner. God is not attained
by doing; nothing needs to be done to attain the divine. Just be the
observer and relax. 1.4
You are not a Brahman or of any caste; you are not in any of
the four stages of life. You are not perceived by the eyes or
other senses. You are unattached and without form, you are the
witness of the whole universe, know this and be happy.1/5
Astavakra is cutting the roots of all the old beliefs. We are no Brahman,
kshatriya or Sudra. These are all non sense. These are all projections.
This is all play of politics and of super society. You are simply divine, you
are the observer, the witness who is within and witnessing all deeds
of body.

No one can awake you. You only can awake yourself. Awake the
pure consciousness within. Look at the things as an on looker;
don’t think, because thinking means processes of the mind have
started. Astavakra is a messenger of conscious and witnessing
.
If there is happiness, just observe it. If there is unhappiness,
just observe it. Let both come and go. Do not let them
overpower you. Be identified with only one thing that you are the
observer, you are the witness.

I have heard that there was a Seth who built his bath room with
mirrors. He put mirror after mirror inside the bath room and once
his dog was shut in that bath room. He was left inside by mistake.
You can understand that dog’s condition. He was seeing his face
in the mirror and thinking some other dog he was barking on him,
scratching on the mirror. It is the same with man’s condition.
The dog barked but there was only mirror and in mirror after
mirror. Dog barked back. The sound returned to him. This was his
own barking echo. He barked all night and chased the mirror and
bathed in his own blood.

His story is the story of man. There is no other one. Other one does
not exist. Here is only one in all of us but this will not be understood
until you have caught hold of that one within. You are the observer of
all. Your bondage is that in you see someone else as the observer.
Your belief is you are the doer. You become what you believe.
Your belief is you are body. You have never thought you Can be
something else than body.

We don’t come on the earth by our own and we don’t go from the
earth by our own wish. Before birth no one asked us whether we are
interested to be born. Before death no one will asks us whether we
interested to die. I am doer in between this span of life is illusion.
We create our ego in illusion. The disease of ego is very big.
I am pure awareness. Having buried the forest of ignorance
with fire of certainty, you are happy and beyond sorrow. 9/1
All unhappiness disappears when you experience that you are
pure awareness.
I am witness. I am observer. We cannot see what we have. In this mortal
body the lamp of consciousness is burning. Just you try to assess the
value of this lamp. The more you desire more unhappy you are.
I have heard; a man went to the river to end his life. A Sufi Fakir was
sitting on the river bank and he asked that man,’ what are you doing?
The man was just about to jump in the river. He said; don’t stop me. It
is too much. I never got any thing I wanted. I always got what I wanted
to avoid. God is against me, so why should I continue the life. The
Fakir said, wait and stay one more day. You may die after one day.
What is the haste? You say you don’t have anything well in your life.
The man replied; nothing at all, if I had anything, why would I come to
end my life? The Fakir said; come with me. The king of this state is
my friend. The Fakir took him to the king and whispered something in
the ear of the king. The king said; I can offer you a million rupees if
you want to sell both of your eyes. Man replied what you are talking. I
am not going to sell my eyes at any cost.
The Fakir said; look you are not ready to sell your eyes for millions of
rupees and last night you were going to kill yourself. You said you did
not have any thing. You have the eyes worth of millions of rupees.
Heart and kidney and other organs of the body worth of
millions of rupees and you are saying you have nothing.
We cannot see what we have. This is a great miracle. Your desire never
ends there for you should not desire anything, be happy with what you
have. Desire brings sorrow. As long as you identify yourself with anything,
ego will arise. Ego is your identification with everything. As

soon as you drop all identification, you will be happy. You say I am
pure awareness. This certainty comes from experience. You do
experiment, trust will come from experience. Burn the forest of
your ignorance with The fire of certainty and be happy.
You are the bliss, ultimate bliss within. This imaginary world is
projected like a snake and a rope. Know this and live happily. 10/1
Worldly sufferings are misunderstanding of awareness. Some time
you must have seen a piece of rope lying on the road in the dark and
immediately idea of a snake comes in mind. When idea comes a rope
is projected like a snake. You run, scream and shout. You might fall
when running. Later on you will find it was a rope. Then you laugh.
See everything but do not forget the one who sees. Hear
everything but do not forget the one who hears. Do everything but
remember you are not the doer.
Have you seen the wheel of a moving vehicle? The axel remains
stand still while the wheel moves. In the same way the wheel of
life moves but the axel remains still. You are the axel.
5. We become as we think.
He who considers himself free is free and he who considers himself
bound is bound because AS YOU THINK SO YOU ARE. 11/1
The soul is the witness, all pervading, free from doing, absolutely
alone, none attached, desire less, peace full. Because of illusion it
looks like the world. 12/1

Only the image you project in your belief will come to your meditation.
RAMKRISHNA LIFE WAS WITH KALI. Consciousness is alone. There is
no second one. Raise the sword and strike. Totapuri said. Ramkrisna
closed his eyes but as soon as he closed eyes his courage vanished. THE
DEVOTEE RAISES THE SWORD AND STRIKES THE GOD HIGHLY
IMPOSSIBLE. Finally Tota puri said, I have wasted lot of time here. It
is of no use. Either you do it or I am going. Do not waste my time. That
day Totapuri brought a piece of glass with him and said; when you
begin to be absorbed in delight, I will cut your forehead with this piece
of glass. When I cut you’re for head, gather courage and raise the
sword and strike. This is the last chance. Ramakrishna closed his
Eyes and kali image appeared. He was about to become ecstatic
when Totapuri Held him by forehead and cut the forehead with piece
of glass. Blood began to stream from the cut and this time Ramkrishna
collected his courage. He raised the sword and cut the kali in to
pieces. When kali fall down, he became non dual. The wave dissolved
in the ocean, it is said that he stayed immersed for six days in this
ultimate silence and when he opened his eyes
The first he said was, ‘the last barrier has fallen.
``
One whose path and goal are different cannot say right now. He
will say move, the Journey is long, climb then you will reach the
mountain. As our all so called religious Pundit says. Astavakra
says, open your eyes and see, you are sitting on the mountain,
where are you running. No one understood. They become very
nervous with Astavakra. These sages have mislead the whole
world. Because doing is always easy and undoing is difficult.
Astavakra’s vision of witnessing and meditation are one because
the goal and the path are one. When ego begins melting tears
flows. When filled with desire each breathe is spreading fire. Now
love has descended. Now I am speech less. Look; When you
are full of desires, full of thoughts, your tongue become very sharp
and fast and now it is speech less. You have travelled with the
help of others, falling in to ditches and get injured.

All sufferings are of the body and there is no identification with the
soul for all the pains of the Body.
Distance of body and soul is the distance of sky and earth. You
are soul, you are observer. No events can touch you. Even sins
cannot touch you. You are lotus floating on the water. Astavakra
says: you know your being, mental projections
Quiet automatically. Mental projection arises because the being is not
known. When all mental projection becomes quit, man knows
himself.

(B) You are no sinner. Sins cannot even touch you.
You are alone. No one is your companion. The body is not your
companion, the breath is not your companion and thoughts are
not your companion. Husband, wife, family, friends, beloved One,
none are your companion. Neither they are born with you nor will
they go with you.
No union can be made with anyone within. There for
Bhagwan Srikrishna has said in Geeta I never die. I am
beyond death.
You are alone, void of action. Do not raise the question of your Karma’s.
``
If you asks Astavakra ,’ one can be liberated right now, what will
happen to the fruits of our past Karma;s. Astavakra says, you
have never done those. Out of vital energy body might have done
something. You have never done anything. You always stand
separate, in non doing position. Doing has never happened
through you. You are the observer of all action.
Consider it, in this way; if we have to destroy the whole web of past
Karma’s, we can never do so. It is impossible. We have done so many

deeds over infinite births and if we have to be released from all
these past Karma’s then the release will take an infinite time,
And during that infinite life time you won’t be sitting idle. You will be
doing something, some good and some bad Karma’s. So Karma’s will
again be done and will be accumulated. THIS CHAIN WILL BE
ENDLESS. This chain will never finish. It will never come to an end
and you will never be liberated. Astavakra says if you have to be
liberated you have to become free from all the past karma’s otherwise
liberation can never happen. Actually you are Free if you can see
within.
Existence of liberation is the proof that being has never done
anything. You are neither a sinner nor saint. You are not virtuous.
There is no hell anywhere, there is no heaven. You have never done
anything. You are thinking that you are doing. It is your belief that you
are doing, actually You are just sleeping in the body and the bodies
are doing. Those bodies that did those things are gone long ago. How
can the fruits of their actions be yours? You were just sleeping within.
The mind acted, the mind that acted disappeared with that
body. No sins belong to you. You are sinless. No sin can touch
you. YOU JUST AWAKE UP. BY AWAKENING, you will find
you have never done anything.

10. You are no sinner. Sins cannot even touch you. Double
You are alone, void of action, self illuminated and innocent. Your
bondage is this that you practice Samadhi.15/1
Samadhi can not be practiced because Samadhi is our nature. Mental
projections are lower state. Trying to stop them is like entering a dark
house and trying to fight with darkness. Do not try to get rid of darkness.
The actual situation is just the reverse, the presence of light is the
absence of darkness. Light a lamp and darkness disappears by it self.
Actually darkness does not exist; it is the absence of light.
There are six waves of life. These are hunger and thrust, sadness and happiness,
birth and death. Hunger and thrust are the waves of body. Happiness and sadness
are the waves of mind. Birth and death are the waves of life energy. Breathing
starts at the time of birth and breath stop at the time of death.
You are alone. No one is your companion. The body is not your
companion, the breath is not your companion and thoughts are not
your companion. Husband, wife, family, friends, beloved One, none are
your companion. Neither they are born with you nor will they go with
you.
No union can be made with anyone within. There for Bhagwan Srikrishna
has said in Geeta That I never die. I am beyond death.

are Free already if you can see beyond within. Existence of liberation is the proof
that the being has never done anything. You are not a sinner
Nor saint. You are not virtuous. There is no hell anywhere, there is no heaven.
You have never done anything. You are thinking that you are doing. It is your
belief that you are doing, actually You are just sleeping in the body and the
bodies are doing. Those bodies that did those things are gone long ago. How
can the fruits of their actions be yours. You were just sleeping within.
The mind acted, the mind that acted disappeared with that body. No sins belong
to you. You are sinless. No sin can touch you. YOU WERE JUST SLEEPING
WITHIN, JUST AWAKE UP. BY AWAKENING, you will find you have never done
anything.
You are self illuminated and innocent. Have you heard this
proclamation? You are innocent. THROUGH AWAY WHAT
PUNDITS,
PUJARI’S AND MAHATMA’S HAVE TAUGHT YOU THATYOU ARE THE SINNER.
You are not the sinner. You are innocent. Their teachings has made
you sinner. They have taught you a thousand ways that you are bad, you
are sinner. They filled you with guilt’s. Actually you are innocent. You
have committed No sins what so ever.
``
Your bondage is this that you practice Samadhi. You are doing efforts for
meditation to Bring fruits for liberation to happen. That is also a one kind of greed.
This is your bondage. Raise sword of awareness and sever it in to pieces.
Now these two will become clear to you; that the path of yoga and the path of
awareness completely different. The ancient name for the path of awareness is
SANKHYA YOGA.
As Bhagwan Srikrishna said in Geeta . SANKHYA YOGA means you simply
wake up, do nothing. No need to do anything. Yoga means there is much
more to be done before awakening will happen. In yoga there are means and
ways in Sankhya there is only goal, only destination, no path what so ever?
You have never left the destination to go anywhere else. You just
have been sitting in your
Inner temple. You are bound because you are searching
liberation/MOKSHA. The Search for Moksha creates a new bondage.
A man is enslaved by himself in worldly affairs and he begins to search
salvation. Here he renounces wife and family, money and busyness. Then he
enslaved him self in a new bondage. He becomes a MONK. New restrictions
starts, how to move and what to do and what not to do. He creates a new
kind of slavery. Actually you are action less. You are non doer.
Have you observed a monk condition that is like a prisoner? A Monk is
not free, because a monk thinks that he has to accept restrictions to
become free. This is an hilarious idea. To be free no restrictions are
required. It is the most up to date expression, if you are to be free then
become free on the very first step. Don’t think you will become free in the
end, as that someone else will make you free or someone will give you
Moksha.
People thinks in that way only that when Bhagawan SRIKRISHNA has
said in geeta’s18th chapter Shaloka 66th, that hai arjuna, leave all the
religions, surrender to me, I will destroy all your sins And will give you
Moksha. ITS only meaning is this that you surrender to me and
understand Me, what I am saying, that knowledge, that wisdom will make
you free from all your sins and You will rest in Moksha. It is not like that
the peoples think that god only will do. God will Destroy the sins and
provide the Moksha like vise, as giving the vardaan to his devotee’s. It is
not like that easy. Actually you are not a sinner which Srikrisna knows and
you don’t know. You know that you are no sinner; you know that you are
not the doer. This awareness when comes then you are the open sky.
YOU ARE FREE ONLY AND if you are not free you can be Free in the
very first step, not on the second step.

If you will make preparation for freedom, these very preparations will
create Bondage, then to get out of these new bondage, you will have to
make new preparations. These new preparations will make again new
bonds; you will get one and be bound by the next. You will escape from
the ditch and fall in the well.
Astavakra says to declare your freedom , do not prepare for it. Don’t say that
first you must Get ready and then, you will get freedom after some time but
your preparations will enslave you rather. Then how to drop the preparation,
one disease is dropped another disease is Taken up. Astavakra says declare
your freedom here and now. Get the courage to declare.

10. You are no sinner
You become what you believe and there are many cheats and scoundrels all
around you, you have been let to believe all kind of things. They have their
own motives. Priest wants to convince you that you are a sinner because if
you are not a sinner how he will continue to pray for you. It is his interest that
you must feel that you are a sinner. If you are not sinner or ignorant what will
become of his scholarship, how will he run his business. A religious teacher, if
he explain you that you are free of doing, you have never committed sins.
Then what will he do? There will be no need for you to go to him.
It is as if you go to some doctor and he explains that you are not sick, that you
have never been sick, health is your nature and then the doctor is committing
suicide. What will happen to his business? There are many scoundrels
businessmen. They have their own interest. Thousands of businesses are running
on you . Pundits, Priests, Pandey’s, so called Tilakdhari religious teachers. For
these peoples it is necessary for you to be sinner. It is necessary that you must
have done some wrong did either in this birth or in previous births. Otherwise what
will happen to those who explain you how to get released from that bed karma’s.
What will happen to those who come to save you and even your expired parents
and forefathers. How to do Pind daan and all rubbish rituals which are bread and
butter for them? If Astavakra is right then these entire messiah’s are useless. Then
there is no need for your release, you are already released and liberated one. You
have never done any sins what so ever.
Questions does not arise to destroy the sins. All are making you fool and
you feel proud to be Fool, it is such wonder full state of your mind.
Astavkra does not do such profession. He speaks straight forwardly, He is giving
crystal clear thruth. Same truth Srikrisna has also said to Arjun but in different tone.
Srikrishna has described about the soul. Krishna is also talking the same that you
are not the body but the soul. One’s self Confidence is needed to see that I am the
witness of all universe. Then all universes are mine. It is enough. There is no need
for any other belief. There is no need to faith in god. Faith means
In Hindi is VISHWAS. Vish means poison and vas means the place where one
live, you can well understand the meaning, where poison lives in. Hence do
not faith in others then yourself. Faith must comes from within, your own
experience. You try to experience that you are only seer, only observer, only
witness, experience it, don’t faith. What a wonder, when someone dies, you
pray for the peace of his soul. It shows that you know that he was a soul not a
body but when you alive you think nothing other than the body and do all the
act s to please the heart not soul. You prefer the man as soul after his death
and unless he is living, you consider him the body.
``
When you are live you are not sure that what you are, the soul or the body.. Your
belief Is that you are body, whereas, you do all kind of acts for the peace of the
soul. Think twice what you are actually do the need full. You are fully aware that
who is listening behind the ear, which is seeing behind the eyes, it is not your body
at all, it is something else which you remember only after he leave the body. That I
is within but we don’t want to see because of our worldly requirements or
selfishness. Matter is clear; we know that body is not ‘I’ but the listener behind the
ear and the seer behind the eyes is the actual ‘I’. SEE WHAT THE POET SAYS.
BACHPAN MAI SIKHATE HAI YAHI DHAM SATYA HAI,
YOVAN MAI SAVAYANM LAGE AARTH KAAM SATYA HAI,
JAB RAM CHALE JAATE HAI TAN KI AYODHA SE,
TAB LOG BATATE HAI RAM NAM SATYA HAI .
When that ‘I ‘go out of your body then only you recognize that. You never worries
for that ‘ I ‘Until and unless he is in the body AND AS SOON AS THAT GO OUT
OF
THE BODY YOU START TO PRAY FOR THE PEACE FOR THAT ‘I’. YOU START TO DO
SRADHA, TARAPAN, FEEDING THE BRAHMAN’S AND ALL KIND OF DAAN ETC FOR
THE PEACE OF THAT ‘I’.WHEN HE LIVES IN THE BODY WE NEVER CARE FOR HIM.
ONE SELF IS NOT SEEING ONE SELF.
WHAT A FUNNY THING. LIVING IN THE WORLD WE NEVER RECOGNISE OUR SELF.
WHEN THE BODY WILL BE LYING ON THE FLOOR AND THE LISTENER AND THE
SEER WILL BE OUT OF THE BODY THEN ONLY WE RECOGNISE WHAT WE
WERE. Astavakra says it is very easy; you need not to do so many things which
you are going on doing In search of GOD, just observing with alertness is enough.
What you take from other. How can it be yours? Only which you have not borrowed
from others is yours, which death will not be able to take away. Yours is what you
had before you were born, and what you will still have after death. Seek that one,
which is the god that is the creator and all. Search for that one. You do not need to
practice for that, only be alert witness and observer. People think to just sit is
defeat, if they sit, they think they are defeated, If they sit they think It is escaping, if
they sit they feel that the passerby will look at them like condemnation, that Sitting
ideal and doing nothing, so peoples keep moving and keep doing. All are just
earning money just to spend it. It is all useless, even though they are full busy.
DHAN KAMANA HI TO KOI JIVAN NAHI DHAN HI TO KAMAAYE JA RANHE HAI LOG.
PEENA BURI CHEEJ SAHI MAGAR PHIR BHI PIYE TO JA RANHE
HAI LOG. Drinking is not good but people are drinking. Smoking is not
good but people are smoking. They keep going them self doing
something or other, if no work they play card.
``
AND THOSE WHO JUST SIT ATTAIN THE GODLYNESS. Those who stop
running of thoughts, attain God. DIVINE IS NOT ATTAINED BY RUNNING, IT IS
ATTAINED BY
STOPING.WHO SAY GOD IS NOT ABLE TO BE SEEN?
YOU ARE NOT IN NEED TO SEE HIM ACTUALLY,
Simply sit a while and sink in to yourself, let the eyes get adjusted to the inside.
``
SECOND CHEPTER 2.
(1) I am no sinner.
JANAK SAID; WONDERFULL; I AM PURE. I AM PEACE. I AM AWARENESS. I AM
INNOSENCE. I HAVE BEEN FOOLED BY ILLUSION ALL THE TIME. ½
Janak seen, what had never been seen before? He heard what he had
never heard before.
Ego makes every one proud but a person who is egoless is like an empty
pot. Janak must have been like an empty pot. Wonderful and awe full, he
immediately awakens.
He heard it and awakened. It is very difficult to find a person like
Janak who awaken with
little hint as if he was just waiting.
Majority of the people are there to whom you try to awaken again and
again but Cannot awake. They hear but they do not listen. They
understand but draw their own meaning which suits to them.
They understand but still they hold their beliefs.
They have deep vested interest in misunderstanding the things. They
have to give up their old belief if they understand, which they don’t want.
Arjun was same kind of listener and you all are also like Arjuna. Arjuna
has made a lot of questions to Srikrishna and Srikrishna had to work hard
to make him understand. The Geeta was born out of this effort. But
Janak hears when it has hardly been spoken, ASTAVAKRA STARTED TO
SPEAK. JANAK STARTED SEEING, BECAME AWAKEN. Generally people do
not listen what is being said. They hear what They want to hear but don’t listen
what is being said. Few people listen what is being said. They take a little time
but when truth is seen, then how old a habit be there, that will have to drop.
The revolution of consciousness happens easily in the life of a man
who has experienced The all worldly affairs because that life
experience tells him, what I have known as life, is meaningless.
Person not enjoyed the world and wanted to get so many things but not able to
get anything. It is very difficult for him to be Awaken and the majority of the people
have not enjoyed the world, they want to enjoy the world and wanted to get so
many things in life, where is the question of awakening. So do not surprise if you
find that all Indian great masters were princes. It is not accidental. It is an
indication that one’s become free of the world only after enjoying it.

When someone has nothing, he lives in hope and it is very difficult to get rid of
hopes. The Poor man thinks that he will live happily tomorrow if he gets wealth
tomorrow. If you have money you can see that it is useless and worth less. If you
don’t have the money. It is very difficult to see that money is useless and worth
less. How can you see the worth less ness of what you don’t have. The poor man
goes on begging in the temple for what he does not get in his life.
Remember money does not enslave you, the desire for money enslave
you. Position does not bind you, the desire for position binds you. The
desire for fame binds you.
Astavakra says; you are pure, nothing sticks you. As soon as Janak heard
it the rays reached to his very depths, piercing straight like an arrow.
AMAZING; WHAT ARE YOU SAYING. I am pure and flaw less, I am peace, I am
awareness. I am beyond nature. I have been fooled by all this time; Janak was
shocked. What he heard. He had never heard before. What he saw in Astavakra,
he had never seen before. Some Thing wonder full was revealed. JANAK WAS
WONDER STRUCK. AMAZING, NOW I AM
BECOME AWARE THAT NOTHING CAN STICK TO ME.
TRUTH IS UNBELIEVABLE WE HAVE BELIEVED THE FALSE SO LONG.
We have always considered guilty and the priest has always said that we are
sinner. The pundits and priests have always preached that we should wash
away our sins. No one has ever said you are innocent, your innocence is such
there is no way to destroy it. Those million sins cannot make you a sinner.
All the sins you have done are only dreams you have seen. Just wake up
and they will be go.
NEITHER PUNYA NOR PAP IS YOURS. THE VERY DOING IS NOT YOURS BECAUSE
YOU ARE NOT THE DOER. YOU ARE ONLY OBSERVER. YOU ARE WITNESS. JANAK
SAID IN WONDER; I AM PURE; I AM PEACE; I AM FLAWLESS; AMAZING…………….
SO FAR I KNOWN ONLY TURMOIL.
Have you ever experience peace? You will usually say yes but you are wrong. If
you ever Known to peace, empty mind devil’s home, had never been said. If you
look deeply, you will find that what you call peace is only a short time between two
turmoil and tensions. You never sit in peace. Astavakra tells you to sit ideal in
peace, become salience, become non doer, Become only witness. Become only
seer. Become observer. There is no other meaning of peace.

You will not be able to answer. Why do you smoke when it is injurious for health?
No answer, like wise so many things you do which are not at all answerable by.
You will only say, I don’t know. I just fell in habit. It is just happened.
You are in the state of unconsciousness from the very beginning. We are
more or less sleep walking. Our eyes are open but our sleep is not
broken. Our eyes are full of sleeps. Some thing
Happens, we go on doing things again and again. WHY PEOPLE LOVE THEIR
FACE; THEY DON’T LOVE THEIR ETERNAL SOUL; AMAZING; we are afraid to
ask, why, because we have no answer. Raising such questions makes us uneasy.
Janak said; amazing. I am pure and not only this, you are telling me,
you are not the body,
You are not the mind; you are not that one which is being seen.
YOU ARE THE OBSERVER, ALWAYS BEYOND THE EXTERNAL WORLD.
It is to understand that whatever we see are not we. Whatever I see am not
me. What so ever Come in experience is not me. Because whatever I see, I
am beyond this. Eyes are seeing but I am behind the eyes, which is seeing.
What so ever becomes my experience, I am beyond, because I am the
observer.
In Bhagvat geeta Sri Krishna says the same but in different way.
Srikrishna describes about the soul in the body. Body is coming and
going but soul is everlasting. Bodies are changed, like we change the
clothes but soul remains. Janak simply received what Maharishi Astavkra
said. Janak did not raise any question. Janak Said, you shocked me, you
awakened me. There is nothing to ask. Janak began to experience.
You can also do the same but it seems impossible to you. It happened
so fast. It seems to us that it should have taken some time. We are very
surprised; it happen so quickly.1/2
Just as I alone give current to this body, I do give the current to the whole
universe too. Either this whole universe is mine or nothing is mine at all. 2/2
Astavakra says; you are ultimate being – witnessing is yours. It is not only your
center, it is the center of the entire world. On the surface we are separate but
within we are one.Just as waves are separate on the surface of the ocean but in
the depth of the ocean. All are one; there is no wave in the depth.
One who remembers the center losses his personality. He ceases to be a
personality. Just as I alone illuminate this body, I do illuminate the universe too.
WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?
IT IS UNBELIEVABLE. My witness is the witness of the whole world. So
the whole universe is mine. Or otherwise I have nothing at all, because I
don’t even exist. In witnessing I no longer Exist, only witnessing remains.
Who will make the claim, claimant no longer exist.

Janak says there are two possibilities either fullness or emptiness. Upnishad
say the same. Zero plus zero is equal to zero. Zero minus zero is equal to
zero. Everything comes out of that whole but that whole remains the whole.
Everything merges in the whole but whole neither increases nor decreases.
I am the center of the entire universe. The entire universe is mine but
when I am the center Of the entire universe I no longer remain I. My ‘I’
HAS DROPPED. It is left behind like a cloud of dust. .2/2

It is wonder full, my body is no more and with the body the whole
world disappeared.
RENUNCIATION IS NOT TO BE DONE. IT IS A STATE OF
CONSCIOUSNESS. If some one says, I am a denunciate he know nothing
about renunciation,
Because as long as there is ‘I’ how can there is renunciation. Let go does not
mean abandoning things. Let go/ renunciation means waking up and seeing
that nothing Is mine, how can I drop. What to drop. If I had held I can drop.
So the key for the realization is, when you see world is nothing what is
there to renounce. But there are people who keep track of how much
they have renounced, because scriptures say if you give one paisa
here, you will receive millions there. Who is not going to do such a
deal? This is just an extension of your greed.
There is a story to open your eyes again. There was a king having only one
son and that Son was seriously sick lying on his death bed. The physician had
given up the hopes, saying We cannot do anything, he can die any moment. It
is a matter of just two three days. The father stays awake all night sitting on
his bed side. Tears were following from his eyes. Sitting and sitting, at about
three am in the morning, the father began to doze. While he slept, he
dreamed a great empire over which he was lord. He had twelve sons, all were
very handsome, young, talented, intelligent and great fighters.He was having
this dream when the son breathed his last. His wife screamed and started
crying.
He opened his eyes. He was completely shocked. He sat there dumb
founded because just a moment before there was twelve sons. They all
gone and here this son had died.

He was completely bewildered. His wife worried whether his mind was
damaged, because he had Great affection with his son and not a single
tear was coming to his eyes. His wife shook him And said, has something
happened to you. Why don’t you cry?
He said, for whom I should cry. There were twelve sons a minute before,
they all died. Should I cry for them or should I cry for this son. I wonder who I
should cry for. Just as twelve sons has gone, thirteen have gone. Everything
has finished he said. That was a dream and this too is a dream. When I was
seeing the dream, it was real for me at that moment. I had completely
forgotten this son. When the dream broke I remembered you all.
Now both dreams have gone. Now I have awakened from day
dreaming. It is enough, now I won’t be roaming about in the dreams of
the world. The time has come to understand, neither this is the true nor
that was true. Now I have awakened. Let go happened.
JANAK HAS NOT MOVED AN ENCH BUT JANAK SAYS, AMAZING. LET GO
HAPPENED.
Renunciation happened through understanding and piercing in the heart straight
like an arrow. Amazing, now through the skill of your teaching, having renounced
the body and the world,What skill is it, hardly a leaf is shaken and the awakening
has happened. The world is nolonger is being seen. My whole vision is changed.
Now I am seeing the divine. Now I will still live here but now I will live like a guest. It
is all the same. I will work but now no worry catches hold of me. You stay where
you are, there is no need to flee to Himalya. Sanyas is not escaping.
Everything remains as it is and let be happens. It is an inner matter. You
will be surprisedWhat has happened?If you want to live skill fully, take
your life as acting. This too is like a dream. It is still a Stage, don’t make a
home here. Stay here just as in the rented house. You are going
toDepart. There is no need to sink roots down here, one who does will
suffer, will come backagain and again. No salvation for him.
I don’t see anything else. Now all this appears as part of the divinity
just his waves.Just as waves, foams and bubbles are not other then
water so this individual soul is notother than universal soul. 456/2
Just bubbles rise from water and they just disappear back in to it. In the
same way there isNothing here that is separate from divinity. We are all
his bubbles, waves. We are unnecessarily thinking that we are doer. We
are just like waves and bubbles in the water.I have started to see this.

Just as cloth when analyzed is nothing but thread, like wise this universe
when analyzes isnothing but the soul. Scientist also say that the whole
universe is made of one energy. JustAs cloth is only thread, exactly the
same way this existence is woven from being.
Just as sugar produced from sugarcane juice is wholly pervaded by it.
The universeProduced by me (soul) is pervaded by me. From the
ignorance of soul world appears. By knowing soul world does not
appear. The soul is non doer and you are soul not the body. This you
remember forever. Hence you have done nothing. Hence the sins are
not yours. You should posses the qualifications of divinity.
From the ignorance the rope appears a snake, from knowing the rope it does not
appearsnake. Likewise from the ignorance of the soul this world appears, from
knowing the soulIt does not appear, try to understand it a little; a rope is lying on
the ground but you see a snake in the darkness and become afraid thinking it a
snake. You run away. You bring sticksAnd start to beat it. Then someone brings a
lamp and the sticks falls from your hands. Fear vanishes in the light you see it is
not a snake. It is just a rope. The snake exists onlybecause you could not see the
rope as a rope. There was no snake. Likewise the world is.
By knowing the soul world does not appear, it appears only if you do
not know the soul.
There are two ways for renunciations. One way is by renouncing the world you
can know yourself. The other way is you know your ‘self’ and the world will
automatically be dropped. When you start seeing your being, world is not at all
``
visible. If you see the world and yourself as body then you don’t see
your being. There is no way what so ever. Both can be seen
simultaneously.
If you want to see darkness then doesn’t make the mistake of bringing
light. If you don’t want
to see darkness then only bring the light. Darkness and light cannot be seen
altogether. Darkness is the absence of light. When light is present, how can its
absence be there. Shake yourself inside. Awaken yourself. Your awakening is
all that is needed. Don’t worry; don’t bother about what anyone says. If people
say you are mad then go mad. Has anyone become enlightened without going
mad? Give your attention to your inner being. This world has nothing so
valuable as this to give to you. Don’t sell your being, even if in exchange you
receive the whole universe as your kingdom. What is the use of it if you gain
the whole world but you lose your own soul? If you save your soul and loose
the whole world, you have everything.
Sanyas is a needle. The thorn of the world is stuck in you; this is the way to
take it out. If you can pull it out without a needle, which is even better. What
could be more blessing than Astavakra. If you can understand Astavakra then
there will be no need for SanyasBut make sure you are not deceiving yourself.
Janak said ; light is myself nature. I am not other than that. When the
universe is illuminatedIt is illuminated by my delight. 8/2
When you get the light of divinity you become the same and start to
speak in a different tone.
Janak uttered these words in a moment when he was filled with
delighters. If you consider them without testing, there is a possibility of
misunderstanding and his meaning will seem something quite different
then you will add your own interpretation. For example;
When Srikrishna says in Geeta, to drop everything to Arjuna and surrender to me,
whenYou read it you will feel this declaration is very egoistical. The meaning you
will give to this Me is your meaning, not of Srikrishna’s. In Srikrishna statement this
‘I‘remains just for a reference. For you this reference is much more. In your state of
mind this reference will become the truth. For Srikrishna it is merely
``
We have never heard such a declaration. I bow down to my feet. You will think this
is the egotism. It would be alright if he said it to others to bow down but there is no
other now in Janak looks, that is why he is touching his own feet.
Janak says this whole universe is lighting by my light, certainly this light Janak is talking about
Cannot be the light of the ‘I‘. This can be light void of I . So don’t look at the language, don’t Let
the intellect meddle. The meaning is very simple, don’t twist and distort it. Only try to
understand it. This I is for all of us if we can hear, if we can awake, if we can be witness.
WHAT IS HIDDEN IN ME IS THE KEY TO SEE.
Inner source of light is achieved when the ‘I‘has gone, but how can one say it. When it is
to be described \then the I has to be brought back in again. When the universe is
illuminated it is illuminated by my light only. Certainly Janak is not talking about the
person named Janak like Wise srikrishna is not talking about the body named
Srikrishna. They are speaking from within. They had seen the everlasting, one who is
hidden in the body. Janak and Krishna personality has disappeared, individual wave
has gone, only the ocean remains, only the divine remains. This declaration of janak is
not about himself. This is for whole existence. Learn to be obliterated then the taste of
this will start coming, and when the taste comes, declaration like this will arise from us
too. It is difficult to stop. Janaj did not say these words after thinking. He would have
hesitated to say if he had thought. He had just brought Astavakra there. Astavakra said
few things and Janak’s enlightenment happened.
Amazing that through ignorance the imaginary world appears in me, just as silver
appears in mother of pearls, a snake in a rope, a mirage in the rays of the sun. 9/2
Amazing; the happening happened so suddenly, so forcefully that janak could not contain it.
Everything is beyond belief. When it is not happened it seems impossible and when it happened
it happened, it seems even more impossible. Janak is in exactly in the same state.
Amazing; Everything is just imagined. Only I am true. Only the witness is true. All else
is Illusory, everything else is illusion/maya. I used by janak is not his body but his ‘I’ is
the witness of all being. This ‘I’ is of the divinity. This ‘I’ is immortal. Understand this
properly.

14. Universe has been created by me and will dissolve in me, just
like as a pot dissolve in clay, a wave in to water, or a bracelet in to gold. 10/2
Janak human form is disappearing and his divine form is coming out. Once Swamy
Ramtirath went to America. Someone asked him who created the universe.
Ramtirath must have Been in Samadhi, he said, ‘I’ did ‘. I made them all. I set them
in motion and they have been moving ever since.
To understand this statement we have to remember Srikrishna. In geeta srikrishna
also said that I have created the whole universe. These both statements are difficult
to understand. Actually both of them are speaking as the eternal, as the immortal, not
speaking as a man Limited and defined as body and mind. They are speaking as the
one beyond the body and Mind. These declarations are from the existence itself. But
it is very difficult and very hard To accept when it has been said by Swamy Ramtirath
but it is very easy when it has been said by Bhagwan Srikrishna.
In this moment janak’s personalty is dissolving and he is speaking from infinity. Under
Astavakra influence janak remembered who he was. Is this something easy to say;
The universe which has been created by me will dissolve in to me. lord Srikrishna has
Also said the same thing after ten thousand years in Sri madbhagvad geeta that I have
Produced this whole world and it will dissolve in to me.
Amazing am I, I bow down to my self. When the whole world shall parish from
Brahma to very blade of grass. I shall not parish. I am eternal. 11/2
Do you see how wonder full this statement is. I bow down to my self. Certainly this is not
Janak’s statement. This is an expression of the ultimate happening that has taken place.
All shall be destroyed. I will not be destroyed. All are born and all will die. I am not
born. I will not die. Srikrishna has also said the same thing. Soul never born and soul
never die.
I am amazed. I myself am in awe. I watch them being created and I watch
them being destroyed. They are all events.
Two appears but I am still no dual. This appearance of two is only on the outside,
like seeing the branches of a tree. If you count the branches there are many. If you
count down the tree To the trunk they all become one. It is just the same in the
world. Many are seen but coming Back to the source they become one. It is all the
expansion of one.
Listen, janak is saying that he pervade the world, he is the definition of the world. The
world Is inside him. Like clouds arising in the sky and disappearing, the whole ages
arise and dissolve In him. Srikrishna also said the same thing in Geeta chapter nine
verses five.
There was childhood in your sky first and when you became a young man, that form
disappeared and another cloud surrounded you. You assumed a new form, new
desires arose. Desires put on new clothes, then you starting getting old. Your clothes
also left. The noise and Glamour of your youth also went. Desired washed away. Now
you are surprised how you could have got lost in those desires. Now you are shocked
to think that you were such an idiot, that You were so foolish.

One day or other every old man, if he has really succeeded in seeing life a little is filled with
surprise, ‘ what kind of things I was running after money, power, women, running after all sorts of
things. What was I chasing after; I cannot believe that I could have been in such dreams. There
is a saying that if a young man cannot cry he is not truly young and if old man can not Laugh he
is not truly old, if he cannot laugh at his whole life and at himself, seeing what idiocy What
foolishness he was doing whole the life, running after things which have no significance. You do
whatever is to be done, without involving yourself in to it. Never forget that you
are not the doer. You are the witness.
Amazing am I, I bow down to myself. None here is as capable as I. Who have been
maintaining the universe for an eternity without even touching with the body.13/2
Do you here janak is saying no one is as capable as he is . This is the art, skill fullness,
who is skill full as i. As capable as I . I have not touched the body. I have never touched
it. There is no way to touch it because your nature of I and the nature of the body are so
different that touching is not possible. You are simply the witness. You can only see. You
and body cannot meet. You exists in the body. The body exists in you but without
touching each other as if at an infinite distance. There nature is so different that you
cannot mix them.
so janak says, ‘I’ am filled with wonder, what is this capacity of mine, I have done
so many actions and still I am unattached. I have enjoyed so much but still no
trace of attachment Pulls on me, as if you are writing on water, you go on writing
but nothing is written. With The witness you go on doing things, enjoying things
but nothing is written. Every thing Disappears like lines on water.
We go on telling our self that we are one with the body, but we cannot be and we can
go on Telling our self that we are separate from the divine, but we cannot be. We can
understand the day when we will know that we are joined to the divine, that day we will
know. Oh wonder of wonders, I had never been united with the body. Learn to be
witness in ordinary life. Make a little effort. Watch yourself walking on the road and be a
witness. Watch yourself being angry. Slowly slowly you help and support the witness.
One day the declaration will happen within you too. The ultimate rain will come.
Amazing am I, I bow down to myself. I have nothing at all or I have all that can be
encompassed by speech or thought. 14/2
Janak is saying in one sense nothing is his because he is not. He no longer exists. So in
one sense Nothing is his and in another sense everything is his. As HE no longer is an
only existence remains In him. Godliness remains and everything belongs to it. This
happened when it seems nothing is his and everything is his. Bhagwan srikrishna has
said nothing is there in the world which I do not posses even though I do the karma.
Your devotee and your god are inside. Let the union happen there. Lose yourself within. You
your self are the divine and you your self are the devotee. There are not two. There is only one.
This can happen just by awareness as it happened to janak, merely through understanding but
great intelligence is needed. If you keep your I separate, if you became pure naked
consciousness, this can happen. If it happens it is good. There is no method in it. If it does not

happen to you, you won’t be able to ask how to prepare for it to happen. If you ask about the
preparations it does not happen. Then there is no way. then Patanjali is your path. Astavakra is
not your path. This is why the Astavakra geeta goes on lying in darkness.Such brilliance is rare.
I bow down to myself means both the devotee and the divine are within me.
You must have heard from your so called Mahatma’s that devotee is greater than god. It
is all childish. There is no two. There is only one. Devotee should also follow the virtue Of
god. We should mingle with the god like sugar mingles in the milk. That is all.14.2
Knowledge, what is to be known, and the knower these three do not exist in
reality. I am the spotless reality in which they appear because of ignorance.

Truly dualism is the root of suffering. There is no remedy for it, the realisation
all we see is unreal and I am one painless reality, consisting of consciousness.
2.16
Who has known oneness then who to fight with whom? I am the whole and sole.
I am there in all. Janak is saying disease is false and there is no cure of false
sickness. By knowing the sickness is false you can get rid off all.
What ever the ways and sources are there to get in salvation and divinity all
are the medicine to remove the false sickness.
The moment you will be able to see the truth, there will be nothing to renounce.
All the dreams will vanish. You will be able to see divine within. You will
totally of God. You will be able to experience divinity within. Astavkra says
this to rest within. Nowhere to go and to be nothing.
For me here is neither bondage nor liberation. The illusion has lost its basis and
ceased. Truly all this exists in me, though ultimately it does not even exist in
me. 2.18
What a wonderful statement is this? There is no bondage and no salvation for me.
You must have heard world is bondage. Renounce the world – renounce
the bondage, search for salvation and get the salvation. But listen what
Janak is

saying? He is saying there are no bondage and no salvation. Such position of
the heart is to get in divinity.
Recognising that all this and my body too are nothing, while my true self is
nothing but pure consciousness, what is there left for the imagination to work
on now? 2.19
The entire bases are fallen down. There is no desire for pleasure and there is
no fear of pain. Neither have I wanted to become anything nor to go any
where. I dropped the entire basis. There is no place for imagination too. I
have saved nothing.
Some are having the imagination of wealth. Some are mad after position.
Some desire heaven. But all these are of heart not mine.
``
I am not the body, nor is the body mine. I am not a living being. I am
consciousness. It was my thirst for living that was my bondage. 2.22
I am not the body, nor is the body mine. My bondage is I want to live.
Janak is explaining what he is experiencing. My bondage was that I
wanted to live. What to do with the desire to live now. Where to keep the
desire to live even? Where to attach myself? because now I am seeing
‘one’ and only one everywhere. I am seeing very clearly that I am
conscious.
Janak says all being bondage is this they want to live. It is wonderful
someone has no legs and begging on the road even though he wants to
live. Attachment of surviving is very deep. Attachment of living is so
deep that man wants to live whatever the circumstance may by? It is
natural. Janak says I am not the body and body is not mine.
Janak says: as like winds create the waves in sea, heart creates thousand
types of waves. These waves are not mine. They are of heart.

of heart will raise more. You will satisfy one, second one will rise. You
will satisfy second one, third one will rise and this will never end.
You need not to do anything. There is no question of doing. You just sit
and see. Don’t do anything. If you will do, waves will rise. You just go
on seeing them all. Do nothing.
It is all wonderful; all the waves are being created by nature. They play
fight altogether and dissolve by nature. It is all happening by nature, you
will not be able to pacify. You neither can pacify nor UNpacify those.
You don’t come in between. Let it be happening. You remember that
you are observer. Let the wave’s rise – play and fight. As the waves rise
by nature they will dissolve by nature. You just sit on the bank of the
river as observer.
THIRD CHAPTER
Astavakra blessed truth to Janak. Such was the effect of his
teachings that Janak has started reflecting immediately.

frightened us. Likewise due to ignorance of soul we feel worldly
things are true. It is all due to false notions.
Many times you have heard to leave anger, greed, pride
and so many other things but if you recognize your soul and start
to live within then there is no need to leave all these things they
will run away automatically as to remove darkness you have to
bring light and darkness automatically go away. Therefore
Astavakra is saying; have you got the self knowledge Janak ?
It looks by your announcement that you have got the self knowledge.
Now I am asking you, just try to find out and try to search within if there
is any attachment due. Whether the old webs hold you?
All this wells up like waves in the sea. Recognising, "I am That," why
run around like someone in need? 3.3
After knowing beautiful soul how can one indulge in wordly things?
By hearing no one can get enlightens. Keep it in the mind.
Enlightenment comes by self experience. Just by hearing you should
not come to conclusion that you have experienced the divinity.4.3

In all creatures there is soul and all creatures are there in soul. Even
knowing this the knowledgeable person is attracted by worldly things.
Is it not wonderful? Astavakra says you just see the saints and munis.
All are saying that the soul is in all creatures and all creatures are there
in soul even though they are fascinated by worldly things. 5.3
So many saints are like this they are being fascinated by worldly
affair this is really astonishing. Attachment are there what will be more
wonderful then this. Saints are also bonded. There are people who talk
about realization but still indulge in all sorts of wordly things .They are
talking divinity and still desiring the wordly things. Therefore Astavakra
says Hay Janak; just look within properly and announce. Don’t try to
announce so fast because this happens very rarely.

It is astonishing that a man who has reached the supreme no dual state
and is intent on the benefits of liberation should still be subject to lust
and in bondage to sexual activity. 3.6
You have been liberated within minutes. Ashtavaksa does not say
that you are not liberated because astavakra philosophy is this
only that you can be liberated immediately but still he says janak
you think whether you are fully confident about yourself. Do not
take early decisions that you have become liberated at once.
Astavakra wants to satisfy himself that janak may not fall in worldly
attractions. Astavakra first wants to check Janak from all sides so
that nothing should be in doubt and this happening must not be
half done this happening must be full in all ways.3.6
It astonishes that one already very debilitated and knowing very well
that its arousal is the enemy of knowledge, should still hanker after
sensuality, even when approaching his last days. 3.7
You got the wisdom. You have gained the knowledge of mortal
and immortal. It seems you have come face to face with divinity. But
the lover of salvation is afraid of salvation do you know this strange
thing? Just see within whether you are afraid of salvation? So many
wise people are afraid of salvation. So many knowledgeable
persons have fear from salvation.

Generally man virtue is also a part of fear. You do well to others
because of the fear that we must not go to hell. Because of the fear
there is god. Because of the fear there is heaven. Heaven must not
be lost. God must not be angry with us. God must not do some
thing wrong to us in anger. Ashtavaksa says: I have seen the
sages who want salvation are afraid of salvation. Janak: once
again you see carefully that you must not have any fear with in.
If you have seen the life then one thing is clear that life is
useless. There is no use at all. You work hard to earn run here and
there do lot of labour and mental work earn and spend still you are not
going to get any thing. It is very strange even though you do not want
to die and want to live. Who has seen the uselessness of life he never
wants the long life. He only says that death should be the final death.
No more coming and going in this false world required.

20 One who desire salvation is afraid of death. What a wonder.
Who has liberated him self from this wordily and other worldly pleasure
and who has the knowledge of mortal and immortal and who is
interested in salvation and divinity he is also afraid of salvation. Do you
know this? Is it not all strange? Are not you afraid of salvation some
where inside? By your saying it seems that you are completely
liberated. It seems you have come to know that we must not come
back. We should not get the life again. That is called liberation from
traveling of life and death. Astavakra says to janak just you see within
whether you have any fear of death. If you have understood then you
must be ready to die. You must be agreeing for great death. You must
agree for immortal death. You must dare to welcome the death. You
must be always ready to accept the death with happiness. He who has
known the life he can welcome the death with happiness. He will never

A man who looks his own body like other bodies and keep a
distance with his body like other bodies how can he be perturbed in
praise and criticism. Happiness and un happiness both are use
less for him because in both the conditions the waves arise in the
mind. Not arising of the waves in the mind is called stability.
Ashtavaksa says Hey janak if you are perturbed by respect or
disrespect or otherwise if any kind of wave arises in your mind then
you have repeated my saying. You have not realized the actual
truth.

Who is looking this world as imaginary and who has crossed over
all kind of desires, crossed all barriers of this worldly attractions
that knowledgeable person will never fear from death.
Whose desires and all questions have vanished, who feels all
the bondage what he was thinking are all delusions. There is nothing
left to ask will he be afraid of to seeing the death coming? If at all any
kind of fear or any thing else left with in then you have not become
desire less. You are supposed to do a lot of things more. You have
just heard the teachings it has not pierced into your heart.
Who can be compared to the greatsoul person whose mind is free from
desire even in disappointment, and who has found satisfaction in self
knowledge? 3.12
The saint who is satisfied with this self realization and who
had no desire of salvation he cannot be compared to any one.

Who know this universe is like a dream and it is actually nothing. How
can he see this is to gain and this is to renounce. Astavakra says now
Hey janak look; I have said that a knowledge person will never be
interested in money, power and position etc because of my teaching
do you think to renounce the kingdom and palace. Is their any
question with in you that if it is so then I am ready to renounce all this
because wise man does not desire all these. So I should leave all and
go to Himalaya. If you are thinking like this then you are not the wise
person because wise person neither desire for gaining nor desire for
renouncing. Now I am asking you there may not be any desire for
enjoyment but their may be some desire to renounce within because
desire to renounce is also the same face of enjoyment. Enjoyment is
saying grab renouncement is saying leave but mind is set on one
thing.

He who has left the desire and hopes he has washed away
his inner dust. He is not affected by getting anything luckily
and unluckily. He becomes neither happy nor unhappy.14.3
``
Who is not hopeful for any thing that it should be like this or like
that? For a man who is desire less and who is with out hope he
has no tomorrow. His tomorrow is vanished. There is one
tomorrow which is suppose to come that wakes up the hope
who has washed away his past and future he enter immortality.
He never feels pleasure or pain by getting any thing by good
luck or by bad luck he takes all by the grace of god.
Astavakra says janak just you look within you judge yourself
on all these matters. If you find out all is okay then what ever
you have said is okay if you are compromising on all these
then you take back your words. You don’t believe just by
listening me. You awaken yourself.
In real my awakening cannot be your awakening my light
cannot be your light my eyes will work for me and your eyes
will work for you. I walk on my legs you walk on your legs.
You need your eyes. You need your light. You just recognize
properly. You do not be influenced by me. Don’t fall on to
follow on, get awaken your self and be a observer.
ASTAVAKRA
CHAPTER 4
Astawakra has raised few questions to JANAK who is just born as a
child of wisdom. JANAK is very happy. New waves arising in the
heart. What ever has happened, happened, he is not able to believe.
On one side JANAK is under struck and on the other side ASTAVAKR is
tightening his arrows to shoot. JANAK is replying in these lines. JANAK
has expressed his thoughts which are quite strange. The test was quite
different. The guru has first closed the doors of actions and later on also
closed the doors of renunciation. He did not leave any scope to

escape. If JANAK had felt a little darkness within, these lines would
not have arisen. The guru placed the mirror in front and JANAK kept
his heart what so ever appeared in the mirror is pure.1.4
One who has neglected himself and not deserving worldly things
and has conquered the passions, anger, ego, greed and lust etc
is called Arihant. This is the last stage of consciousness and
beyond this there is nothing. This can never happen to foolish
one who is loaded with a heavy load of knowledge.
The learned and ignorant both live in this world but there is a
difference. The ignorant takes the world seriously where learned
one takes the world smilingly. If the wife of an ignorant dies he is
weeping and crying but when the wife dies of a wise person he
takes the body to the burial ground but not weeping and crying. He
feels that the curtain in the drama has fallen and the show is over.
Individually he is only a witness and he never forgets it.

Having desire for a position all deities feel miserable but yogis are
never happy even after getting that position.2.4
Even Indra Dev and other deities are miserably poor who desire
for a position but it is really wonderful that yogi don’t feel happy
i
even after getting all those. Gods like iInderdev are demanding
the position like a poor man while they have got lot of already but
their demand never ends. You may be at a higher position but you
are always poor because of your demand for more.
Oh god it is strange that a yogi is in that higher position but still never
feels proud or happy. He is not at all poor because his poverty is
already lost. Deities having every thing but still die for more.
So long you can be happy you can also be unhappy. It is not possible
that unhappiness is lost and happiness remains. Happiness and
unhappiness go hand in hand and they are the two sides of the same
coin but yogi is stationed in his position where both are absorb. The
position for which deity’s desire and die too, yogis are still not happy
at all. Yogis are absolutely usual in their behavior.

Article No. 25. Awaken one sees the whole world as soul.
IV/4 One who has realized this whole world as one soul he has
destroyed the difference of I, you & he etc. The mahatma who has
taken the whole world as a soul can never be disturbed by any one.
JANAK says I am one with the universe. What is going on will go on,
what is to be happen will happen. Be only a witness and enjoy the
happenings of the world. The mahatma who has realized the whole
universe as one soul then what is there to change. Why to change,

CHAPTER NO :06
Article No. 28. I am like the sky and sea.
THESE VERSES OF JANAK’S ARE STRANGE: It seems
ASTAVAKRA had gone deep in JANAK’S heart. These words spoken
through JANAK are as ASTAVAKRA wanted the reply of JANAK is the
same. He expressed that, he is like the sky and this world is like a pot
created by nature. This world created by nature is identified as a pot
made by pot maker. This is the wisdom. Therefore neither there is
renouncing nor acceptance nor dissolution within. 1/6

I am in all and all are in me, question does not arise for gaining or
renouncing any thing. This knowledge is above all. JANAK asked
whom are you teaching that we should remain the same in
happiness and un happiness, where is happiness and happiness
and where is life and death, when both are the same and that
both are I. When a person becomes neutral /zero, he becomes
one with the whole. There for it has been written in scriptures that
who knows the divinity he become divine.
These four small verses when Janak said. Astavakra was very happy.
Astavkra tried to pull Janak up the last, last temptation was given for
renouncement and wisdom. Renouncement and wisdom these two
are the last barriers who crossed over these two he is liberated

CHAPTER NO:7
29 World and salvation both waves are arising within me.
In this chapter JANAK’S sutras are related to the last four sutras of
chapter 6th not much difference in the main idea. ASTAVAKRA is
asking JANAK to gain the knowledge. JANAK says you are telling
me to be learned now. How strange I am already what you want to
be. I have nothing to learn any more. JANAK says to ASTAVAKRA
you are teaching me the real truth which I already have within me.
You are confusing me and tempting me. Please do not do so now.
What ever was to happen has happened. The only thing is that I
was confused by all scriptures till now. After discussing with you I
have under stood that I am already there where you want me to
be. It does not mean that it was not there, it was already there but
I was not aware, I was not remembering, that was within me I was
searching out side, when I peeped within it has happened.
When Gautam budha awakens some one asked him what he got,
he said that he has got nothing new. What was already there
within found now? I got it now. So far I was not aware of.
``
7/2 In the sea of my soul all kind of waves arise and destroy but there
is no affect on my soul. I am not gaining or loosing any thing. You are
saying me to be liberated, what you are saying what ever is happening
is happening; let it happen I am not concerned. THERE IS NOTHING
TO CHOOSE. Janak says. What ever is happening I am just seeing.
Nothing will change by my doing. There will be no change in nature.
Astavakra says: When you have got the wisdom then you renounce
all this. Now you leave the pride of physical body and get the
salvation. Janak says this body, wealth and this kingdom is not mine
which I should renounce, I have never catch hold of these things
which I should leave. This has happened and will be lost
automatically. I can only see that because of all this I am not in profit
or loss. It is very strange Janak has said. It is the actual
renouncement.2.7

7/3 The world is only a dream for the bottom less ocean in me. I am
very quite and with out any form and so this world is only a dream.
Actually this world is nothing, it is only a dream we see while sleeping.
Since we are not awakening so we accept the dream. The moment we
are awake where is the dream. Just think what type of this world would
be if you have no desire? No desire to get any thing. There is nothing
to get. All is already gained. Then will you be able to live in this world,
you will find that your world is totally changed. It is all mirages, you see
some thing from a distance and after reaching there you see nothing.
The bottom of the ocean does not feel the waves. Just ask the divers
whether there are any waves in the depth of sea. In the depth of sea
there are no waves. Waves are only on the surface. In that depth
within all is peace full, desire less and the bottom is always peaceful
and undisturbed and that is me. Your imagination is your world. 34.7
``
When you want some thing, when you think, when you
renounce, when you grab and when you feel unhappiness, when
you feel pain then you are bonded.
When your mind is fully inactive you become liberated. You just
search those moments where your mind is inactive. When you desire
something you are under bondage. It is not being said that who wants
``
money they are in bondage. Even if you desire the god, you have
fallen in bondage. In other words:
DEKHA HAI HAR CHAH BANI AAKHIR MAI DUKH KA KARAN
But you look, to whom you are calling saints they also desire.
They desire salvation. In ASTAVAKRA view they are not saints,
they are confused and they are under delusion. 2/8

When your heart is attracted by something then you are bonded and
when your heart is un attracted then you are liberated. These are
very clear cut statements and very near to truth. When you are
looking but not looking, when you are walking but not walking, when
you touch something but you are not touching, when you hear some
thing but you don’t hear all is going on but you are sleeping within as
witness, with out attachment, without emotion, you never disturbed.
All is coming and going but you are there stand still as observer in
neutral position that is called salvation. That is called liberation.3/8
Astavakra statements are very clear cut but it is very difficult. Here
are very big delusions. Enjoy can be under stand. Renounce every
one can understand. But do not desire, do not renounce, what is this,
it is big confusion, do not enjoy and do not renounce then what to do,
we can always understand two but we can not understand oneness.
Do not enjoydo not run, do not press, don’t waste your energy in
enjoyment, do not burn yourself in renouncement, there is proud of
doing and ego in both. You are not supposed to be doer. You are
just supposed to be witness. What ever happens you just look on.
You just become observer and see what ever is happening.
``
We will just say oh god as you like. I am not different from you. I
have no aim. In this situation, in this wisdom where is pleasure, where
is pain, where is bondage and where is liberation. All two vanished.
One live behind, you just become one with whole .Who has become
one with whole is liberated. That is the salvation.
Chapter nine :9 ASTHAVAKRA SAID
If life is there duality is there. Life is full of duality. You feel happy
sometime you feel un happy some time. When you wake up in the
morning you sleep in the night. When you work you take rest just like day
after night. Every thing is lined up, duality will continue. This life is
running in duality. Once the duality fall, every thing falls. That is why you
cannot see the god. What ever you see is surrounded by duality. Where
ever duality breaks there you will find man has become body less and
worldly life vanishes. Life is the same form of form less; life is
``
same face of face less. To know this it is better to live neutral and
desire less in this world. Know this by realizing yourself by your own
experience confidently, not listening by others, not by loan, not by
other one knowing, When you look within you will know that how this
duality can be stopped. How these thoughts can vanish. In every
onethere is one such place within where these thoughts, where these
waves cannot reach, that is your centre place. That is your real face.
After knowing this confidently the man sits within himself that is
called Uddaseen. It means sitting within his own depth. Sitting in such
way that no wave from outsides reaches to you within. People think
that Uddaseen means who are sad in life, who are depressed with life
they are Uddaseen. Actual meaning of Uddaseen is to sit within and
start to see worlds play. There he becomes witness; he says I am just
observing the happening. Meditation is neither peace nor un –peace, it
is the state of mind. As a witness when you see peace rising but you
are not attracted. When you see unrest arising but you are not
perturbed. You look that these all are minds play and these will be
going on. I am not concerned.

worthless he attain peace. He will be free from the desire for life,
desire to enjoy or desire to get and he attain peace.
9/4. As you are certain that this world is useless peace begets
within. What is that time and what is that position where duality will
not effect with pleasure or pain? Just neglect them and be satisfied
in what ever you have got. Then you will be happy. ASTAVAKRA is
saying. Who is contented with what ever he has got. What ever is
available in the present that is sufficient then there will be no run,
then there will be no desire, then there will be only peace.
9/5. There are so many religions; there are so many yogis and
maharishi, which have their different views. What is the use of all
this. Who will be such a fool who will not understand this small
thing and get in peace? What is the use to fall in so many religions?
What is the use to hear the so many religious leaders, to whom you
will hear he will attract you, every one has his own arguments.
They have dedicated so many lives to create these religions.
Certainly these yogi’s and Maharshi’s were very knowledgeable.
Truth is one and one only. Look at this and neglecting all the
religion, one can get the peace. 9/5

9/7 When ever you will see all bad deeds are there in all
creatures and with world immediately you will feel free and will sit
within. When ever you will realize the truth that this body senses
and bad habits are there in every one, at the same time you will be
free from all kind of bondage and you will sit within.
9/8. To know this world full of desire, you leave all desires
and sit within. Desires are the world, there for you leave all kind of
desire. Desires means not only the desire for sex, any kind of desire,
desire is only world. No desireno world. Therefore you leave all the
desire. When you will renounce the desires it means the
renouncement of world. Renouncement of desire is the renouncement
of world that is the actual thing to understand. People are not under
standing this and run away to jungle and Himalaya’s along with their
desires. How can they be free from anything when the desire is there
within and how can they see divinity when desires are there with them.
``
After renouncing the desire you live where ever you want to live
there is no difference, you live where ever you like. As you are,
where ever you are, you are alright and there is nothing to do
anything. You know only one thing that I am witness. One thing is
to be remembered always that you are observer.
The link of desire is your world; you want to be some thing. Desire to
be something is the reasons of slavery. I am happy in what ever I am
possessing I want nothing more. Who ever know this he is liberated,
he is free from all kind of bondage, then you live in palace or in a small
cottage that makes no difference. If desire has gone JANAK then you
live where ever you like. You are free. You are liberated.8/9
CHAPTER NO ‑10
Article No.34. Desire is your main enemy.
``
All the scripture of the world tells desire for sex is your enemy.
Where as, because of the sex power only the world is being
created and it has been written in “Atampuran” that:
Desire of sex has won the lord Brahma, desire of sex has defeated
the lord Shanker and desire of sex has defeated the lord Vishnu. No
one is bachelor all of them. Who has won the desire of sex? All has
been defeated by desire of sex. In reality sex power is only creating
the whole world even the birds and beasts and all other creature. Sex
is the main stream for creation. If the desire of sex is not there in the
world then the life will finish from the earth. Even though sex is enemy
why? It is enemy because it never makes man satisfied. It keeps the
man hungry. Enemy is that who keeps you hungry. Which does not
allow you to be satisfied? Sex keeps man always hungry. Enjoy the
sex after few hours you are again hungry.
``
All relation between you and your friends, brothers, sisters, wife,
children, money house is like day dreaming which stay only for
few days. All these sceneries are vanishing like dream when we
see these looks like real but when we loose them we become
dumb and speechless.10/2
``
Only desires are binding you and desire less position is your
liberation. Once you detach yourself from the worldly affairs divinity is
not far from you. Only desires are the main problem for bondage and
slavery. Until you desire some thing you are the slave of your desire
even if you desire salvation or God you will find that you are still the
slave of your desire. When you become free from all desires then only
you will be able to say that you are liberated. Liberation can not be
gain by desiring. Liberation is getting rid of desires. However
religious, how ever best, there must not be any desires within. What
ever is available is okay. When the desires are dropped world is
dropped.
When you will be desire less immediately you will feel liberated
and it will be happen to you time and again. Just by the
detachment from the world you will feel the satisfaction within the
soul. You will sit within the soul and soul is always in peace. Soul
never wanders here and there it is your desire which wanders here
and there even after the death of your body.

You are pure conscious and world is untrue and lie. It is such a
confusion which disappears only by knowledge. Future is also
untrue. Even after this do you want to know any thing else. There
is nothing to know. There are only three things here first
consciousnesses second this world and third one is the delusion
between both. After knowing this what is left to know. 5/10
Son, wife, body, wealth and happiness all destroyed of attached ones.
All these relations destroyed in all births. Since so many births you are
living in the same attachment. Every time you make the relation with
all worldly things. This is mine and that is mine and one day death
come and all relations break. Everything scatter, in every birth these
are destroyed. Hey janak: This kingdom, sons, wife, body and
happiness, all these are the reason of your restlessness and in every
birth all these relations are destroyed by death of your body. See what
the poet says; Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Son, daughter, wife,
friend and society etc. Eak Chhoti See Jaan Aur Eatne Fareb. One so
small life and so many delusions. 6/10
You have earned lot of money and enjoyed, you have done lot of
good deeds in every birth but still you could not get peace.
LISTEN: What Astavakra is saying: You have done lot of good
did, earned lots of wealth and accumulated many worldly things
but you have never got the peace. You have enjoyed a lot but
there is no rest. You can get rest when you are not in action. No
action means you are in peace. You stop the doing and just
become the observer. So far you have never tested peace even for
a moment. Now at least you wake up from doing. So you rest in
peace. 7/10
``
Even after doing all type of deeds you have taken birth time and
again. Full of grief in every birth now at least stop some where. Have
you not done all kind of acts in all the births? Now stop some where,
sit some where in peace and take rest. This is the best definition of
meditation. Just sit and keep looking on, meditation is not done by
doing, meditation means just witness. What ever is happening just
look at silently with out self interest and attachment and without any
opposition, neither this side and nor that side. Just sit in neutral gear
and observe all, you will enter into the kingdom of divinity.8/10
CHAPTER NO:11
``
As an image reflects in the mirror and when you move away from
the mirror reflection disappears. Mirror is not affected. Nothing has
happened to the mirror. You just saw the image in the mirror that is
not seen by the mirror. Conscious is also like mirror, whatever
happen in front of conscious reflections are created in the mirror of
consciousness. The events end and reflection disappears but
mirror of consciousness remains empty as it is.
Zero plus zero is equal to zero, zero less zero is equal to zero. Zero
never increases and nor decreases. Who experienced that all is going
on itself by nature and I am just observing the happenings then all his
grief disappears. He becomes empty. He feels body is separate from
himself, he is not the body. Astavakra says; you divorce the body.
You are not concerned with happiness and unhappiness. Happiness
comes and goes you are not affected and concerned. Then
automatically you attain the peace. 1/11

sister in real life. I put up the matter to my father in law, he has tried his
best to make her understand but could not succeed and she left her
father house and started ti live in BrahmKumari’s Ashram. She has
become brahma kumari twenty years back. In the mean time I have
taken care of my two sons, I got them admitted in ‘’ Shiva Shivani
public school’’ medchal hostel. How ever they completed there
education of school and started to go college, but at that time they
become out of control and I have diverted both of them to their mother,
till that time she came back from Brahma kumari’s ashram, after some
dispute and living in the city by taking a flat on rent. She has diverted
both of them to her brother’s shop Big Bansals, Hyderabad. All was
going well. But when ever I was going to meet my sons they were
stealing the eyes from me or you can say they were not interested to
meet me. Younger one was talking to me some time but elder one was
not at all interested to talk to me. This was very pain full and I was very
much in grief that my sons are not in talking terms with me. I was
feeling very sad and painful. One day I questioned my self why are you
in grief? It is not in your hand, what can you do? By doing you have
reached at this position. Now what do you want from them? This was
the major question which struck to my mind that what you want from
your sons? Then the reply came from within that I am their father they
should respect me they should behave properly. Some one said within,
that is not in your hand. It is okay that they are your sons but don’t
forget that they are separate body and they have there own way of
thinking, if they don’t like you how can you make them like. It is
impossible you can do no thing. You can do only one thing that you
don’t want any thing from them, pain will go automatically. It is the only
thing that you can do. You are in pain and grief because you want
some thing from them. You don’t desire any thing from them, pain will
go automatically and from that day onwards I left the desire to get
anything from my
``
I have written one line but I was unable to complete the Sher. I
remember one incident of Galib Shahib’s life. Once upon a
time Galib Shahib was sitting in his house garden with his
wife. His wife was sitting and Galib head was in her lap and
his eyes were in the sky. Galib seen a crow flying in the sky
and there is a grape in his mouth. He said his wife Begum
Begum see: Kove Ke Mounh Main Angoor Khuda Ki Kudrat.
Begum said please complete the Sher Galib Shahib. Galib
said again ; KOVE KE MOUNH MAIN ANGOOR KHUDA KI
KUDARAT. Now Begun could not keep her mouth set. She
said TUJH JAISE LANGOOR KE PAHLOO MAIN MUJH
JAISEE HOOR KHUDA KI KUDRAT. Like wise I was also
unable to complete the Sher. It has taken one year to
complete the Sher. Then I started to check all kind of desires.
You have desire for salvation. You want to do Satsang, you want to sit
with saints to get peace and salvation. According to our scripture we
``
are suppose to get rid of travelling of life and death. So you have lot of
good things to desire and I started to desire one by one all of them and
you will be surprised to know that up to one year I was going on doing
these practical in life. I was desiring I was grabbing some thing or
other whatever I was liking but all in vain, at last I have seen there is
no use of any thing to desire, there is pain and grief every where.
Behind the every desire there was pain and then I left all desire even
the desire for God. Then second line was being made that;
Until there are desires and until there are hopes you will not be able
to get rid of pain. You will not be able to leave this world. Desire is the
only root cause of your world, if there is no desire there is no world.
``
Desires means wants more, this want more makes the man to
revolve round the world. In view of Astavakra: There is only one way
to get rid of it and that is now only, very this moment. Take the
decision now only. Don’t postpone it for some other day. You just be
happy right now. Philosophy to be happy is right now. You leaves
good things to do for tomorrow. You give extension to do good things
after some time and you were going on wandering in this world in a
sleepy condition not in awakened position. Where there are the waves
of desires you loose your wisdom and you are wandering in the dark.

What ever we like we attach our self with that, what ever we dislike we
hate that there fore wise person free from both behave like a child.
There is difference in morality and religion, morality says this is right
that is wrong and religion says what ever is that is. There is nothing
wrong or right. Gentle man do all work through morality, where as no
difference in right and wrong in view of saint. Saint does nothing; he
let the things happen, what ever is happening saint is looking on. He
speaks against you some time. You are interested in female he talks
about purity. You desire for money he talks about the renouncement.
You understand the gentleman as saint; actually you are not able to
recognize the difference between gentleman and saint. Worldly
enjoyments are waste for saint; renouncement is also useless for him.
For the saint along with worldly enjoyment the renouncement is also of
no use. Now it is very difficult for you to understand but if you try to
understand you will under stand that worldly enjoyment and worldly
renouncement both are the two faces of the same coin.

One day suddenly the life and death happens. In between life and
death you feel the madness of doing. We have no control over
death and birth. Then how can we claim our authority in between
the span of life and death that we are doing.4/11
Because of worries you get pain. If there are no worries there is no pain.
He who knows this he is happy and peaceful. His desire disappears and
he is free from all what so ever. The bigger is the work bigger are

Janaka said:
This is the state forward statement of Janak which means body works his
own way, heart moves in his own way, words moves in their own way,
we unnecessary attach our selves with them. Because of attachment
illusions begets.
First of all I came to know body dose not need my support that is moving
by own support there fore I am not the supporter of body actions hence I
have left this illusion that I am running the body. We are sleeping in the
night. Body is working in his own way. Food is being digested. We are
not needed to support body is doing that with his own support. So far I
was in illusion that I am running the body. Now this illusion is over. I
was unnecessary supporting. Further I came to know
``
What ever the attachment was there with words has gone. Because I have
seen I am beyond, I am standing behind. Words are the waves neither
good nor bad. I have experienced that soul is face less. All the
attachments are lost. Now there is no tension. There is no search for soul
even. Hence I have established in self. Now nothing left to do.
``
Doing meditation action starts. You become doer and again bondage
starts. Janak says meditation is when you are beyond meditation.
Knowing all this I am established in self beyond meditation. There is no
place for doing. 12.3
We Hindu’s divide the life in four communities and for castes but Janak
says caste and community all are the old webs. All division create
nuisance. Nothing will happen by divisions. Neither the Brahaman is
Brahaman nor is Sudra Sudra. These are the systems of politicians
because conscious is neither Brahaman nor Sudra. Conscious is only
conscious, observer is only observer.
Learned one also misses the path some times in small matters. Once upon
a time Shankrachrya was going back after bath in Ganga one Sudra
touched him and Shankrachharya shouted Hai Sudra, get back but Sudra
was also a sage he said I have heard: you are preaching oneness of
divinity and saying all are one then where from these Sudra and

Janak Says it is beyond limits. People are thinking about un think able. I
have left all thinking. I am empty now. Now I am not remembering the
God even. Because how can we think about some one to whom we don’t
know. It is not all possible. 12.7
He who has achieved this has achieved the goal of life. He who is of
such a nature has done what has to be done. 12.8
One who has achieved this face less form is blessed. This verse says one
who has achieved his self by meditation, chanting and worshiping he is
blessed but one who has achieved this with out doing any thing – what is
to say about him. One who has achieved the divinity with out doing any
thing, one who has just achieved by experience nothing could be said
about his bliss. One who has achieved by doing some thing or else it is
alright but how to explain his virtue of one who has achieved with out
doing any thing. Janak says I have achieved. I have achieved with out
doing any thing. 12.8
The inner freedom of having nothing is hard to achieve, even with just a
loincloth, but I live as I please, abandoning both renunciation and
acquisition. 13.1After leaving the attachments from the world now I am
happy. Knowing there is nothing to gain from this world. Now I have no
attachments with any thing. I am nothing to renounce and nothing to gain
because I came to know both are the two faces of the same coin. There is
no difference. Denouncer does the same as enjoyer does. Difference is
that denouncer moves in opposite direction. Since you renounce
something to get some thing, you are enjoyer only. Denouncer also
become denouncer because desire of some thing. That desire it self
become enjoyment for him.
Enjoyer has the dream of renouncing and denouncer has the dream of
enjoyment. Enjoyer is impressed by denouncer and denouncer is
``
Yogis who identify themselves with their bodies are insistent on fulfilling
and avoiding certain actions, but I live as I please abandoning attachment
and rejection. Janak says: enjoyer is attached with the body. Yogi is also
attached with the body. Their attachments are different. Denouncer
attachment is to sit in meditation, to learn breathlessness etc. Yogi efforts
are also focused on body only. Yogi’s efforts may be better but not
different. Base is body only. Yogi means one who has left doing and
enjoyer means one who is engaged in doing. But both are looking at
body. They are not able to go beyond the body.234.13

If you know the witness, you know the divine. Recognizing the witness
you will be free from all desires, bondage and hopes. Because bondage
is delusion and liberation is also delusion. When bondage is delusion,
liberation will also be delusion. When we were never bonded, what is
the meaning of liberation? Witness means: to stay in between duality
neither this side nor that side. No selection, neither renouncement nor
enjoyment. Let the happening happen.
``
While a man of pure intelligence may achieve the goal by the most
casual of instruction, another may seek knowledge all his life and still
remain bewildered. Liberation is distaste for the objects of the senses.
Bondage is love of the senses. This is knowledge. Now do as you wish.
15.12
This awareness of the truth makes an eloquent, clever and energetic man
dumb, stupid and lazy, so it is avoided by those whose aim is enjoyment.
Hence this awareness of truth is being renounceable by worldly men.
Astavakra says: this awareness of truth, to be free from worldly affairs,
taste of liberation and salvation makes the talkative one dumb. Wise
becomes like a fool. Hence people try to avoid knowing this awareness
of truth. They never go near the real monk. They are afraid off to leave
desires. They are happy in their world. Hence when they meet some sage,
with folded hands they donate some thing and return to their homes
because they interested in desires.you are not the body, nor is the body
yours, nor are you the doer of actions or the reaper of their consequences.
You are eternally pure consciousness, the witness, in need of nothing
so live happily. 34.15
``
Desire and anger are objects of the mind, but the mind is not yours, nor
ever has been. You are choiceless awareness itself and unchanging so
live happily. If you know the science that attachments and detachments
are of heart, you got all. Soul never feels the pain or grief. If you feel
pain or grief, by mistake you have considered the heart as soul. There is
one meaning of grief that you have joined the connection of your heart
with your soul. Which can not be?
Recognising oneself in all beings, and all beings in oneself, be happy,
free from the sense of responsibility and free from preoccupation with
"me." Your nature is the consciousness, in which the whole world wells
up, like waves in the sea. That is what you are, without any doubt, so be
free of disturbance. Have faith, my son, have faith. Don't let yourself be
deluded. You are yourself the Lord, whose very nature is knowledge,
and you are beyond natural causation.
58.15 Have faith, don’t fall in attachments. You are pure knowledge.
You are divine. Hai Somya. Somya means: some one who gets in
equanimity, having equal sight for every living being. Astavakra has not
used this word so far. Now he uses. He says Hai Somya, when someone
gets in equanimity he becomes beautiful.Astavakra says: have faith.
Faith does not mean belief. By faith when you understand belief that is
not faith. Belief means, to trust on some or other. Faith means natural
feeling of consciousness. Faith has no concern with belief or trust. You
have doubts within when you trust or believe some one but there is no
doubt within in faith. Try to understand it properly.
The body invested with the senses stands still, and comes and goes. You
yourself neither come nor go, so why bother about them? Let the body
last to the end of the Age, or let it come to an end right now.
What have you gained or lost, who consist of pure consciousness? Let
the world wave rise or subside according to its own nature in you, the
great ocean. It is no gain or loss to you. My son, you consist of pure
consciousness, and the world is not separate from you. So who is to
accept or reject it, and how, and why? 912.15
``
Whatever you see, it is you alone manifest in it. How can bracelets,
armlets and anklets be different from the gold they are made of?
‘I’ am, this notion can hold you when ‘you’ is there. When there is no
two, where “I” is and where is “you” both vanished.
Astavakra says: what ever you see, there you are. Are bracelets,
armlets and anklets different from gold? If you are seeing all different
then you are blind. Gold is with in all. What does make it difference
from outer look. These so many faces are outer faces in the entire
universe but within there is one and one only.V14/Ch15
Giving up such distinctions as "He is what I am," and "I am not that,"
recognise that "Everything is myself," and be without distinction and
happy. 1415.15
It is through your ignorance that all this exists. In reality you alone exist.
Apart from you there is no one within or beyond samsara. Knowing that
all this is just an illusion, one becomes free of desire, pure receptivity,
and at peace, as if nothing existed. Only one thing has existed, exists and
will exist in the ocean of being. Actually we all are one, there is no other
one. Other one is delusion. This world is because of your foolishness.
There is pleasure in being one. There will be no quarrel, no fight. Being
so many we get in pain, grief and sorrow. I have finished all such
differences.
``
You are one, you were one and you will be one. Different from this all
are false. All is dream like. There is no bondage, no salvation. If you can
see you are liberated. Then you are blessed.
When the world is dream like, where the question arise to be a doer.
You are seeing the dream in the night; you can not be doer in dream.
Waking up in the morning you find, you were witness not the doer.
You don’t fall in, what to do and what not to do to get peace. What to
accept and what not to accept. Other wise this will become the reason of
your un peace. You just leave both and rest in peace within.
You remember that nothing happen through your doing. We hope all the
time in life but in vain. Always we got annoyed. Now understand this and
say, nothing will happen by my doing. What ever is happening I will be
going on seeing. Let the happening happen, I don’t want to do anything. I
will be seeing all like witness that is all.
Leave the attention from all side; don’t keep any thing in the heart.
These verses go beyond Lord Shree Krishna verses because there is no
two. There is one soul and that is divine. 1620.15

CHAPTER 16
You may be a learned man; you may indulge in meditation, but your
mind will still long for which is the cessation of desire. You will know
with in that you have not got in truth, some thing is being left. You do
what ever you like but with out renouncing all hopes and desires you will
not get peace. Hopes and desires are the bondage which never being
fulfilled. Until and unless you get in thoughtlessness you will not get in
the kingdom of divine. 16.2
``
Some one who is painful even in opening and closing his eyes. He is
happy. One who does not accept any doer ship, he leaves all on god. You
want to open, open. You don’t want to open do not open. One vanishes
his all doer ship, he is happy. By leaving the doer ship, all the worries
leave you because all is left on God. There is no self desire. 16.4
``
Desire springs from usage, and aversion from abstension, but the wise
man is free from the pairs of opposites like a child, and becomes
established. 16.8
The passionate man wants to eliminate samsara so as to avoid pain, but
the dispassionate man is free from pain and feels no distress even in it.
16.9
He who is proud about even liberation or his own body, and feels them
his own, is neither a seer nor a yogi. He is still just a sufferer.16.10

CHAPTERNO: 16
Article. 54. You can not get peace with out forgetting all.
Ashtavakra said:
My son, you may recite or listen to countless scriptures, but you will not
be established within until you can forget everything. 16.1
Again you will create a new world. There fore Astavakra says you will
never get peace with out forgetting all. You will never get peace by
remembering or chanting. You will get peace by forgetting all. Don’t

that supremely lazy man for whom even opening and closing his eyes
is a bother. 16.4 All are in grief because of efforts. Just to bring up the
body you are in pain. Who ever is absorbing these teachings can be
the happiest person. Every one is in grief because of doing and no
one knows this reality. By these teachings luckiest person gets the
divinity and liberty. By efforts and doing every one gets pain and takes
the birth time and again. Lot of people do not know this truth. Perhaps
some one in millions may know this .Who ever know this he is lucky
enough. Then no one can stop him from liberalization. All are in pain
by doing efforts, by doing the efforts time and again they are in grief.
They are getting nothing other than suffering. It looks like that no one
knows this important truth and whoever knows this he is luckiest. 3/16
4/16 Who is troubled even by opening and closing of his eyes such lazy
persons is always in peace. Who do not accept doer ship of opening the
eye lids even? He leaves every thing on god. If you want to open, open if
you don’t want, don’t open. He leaves all his doing. He comes to an end of
doer ship. He is happy. He is greatest in laziness. He is on the top of hills
in laziness. Who has not only left the doing, he has also left the doer ship.
If he leaves only doing then he is not on the top of laziness. Lot of people
leaves doing but who leave the doer ship he is the great.
As soon as you leave doer ship, all the worries go away. Because
all is left on god what ever god want to do let him do. He him self
does not want to do any thing. Let him do what ever he likes to
do. Now there is no self desire. 4/16
When the mind is freed from such pairs of opposites as, "I have done
this," and "I have not done that," it becomes indifferent to merit, wealth,
sensuality and liberation. 16.5

One man is abstemious and averse to the senses, another is greedy and
attached to them, but he who is free from both taking and rejecting is
neither abstemious nor greedy. 16.6 Work done and work undone.
Undone means which you want to do. When your mind and heart are
free from work done or undone you will be hopeless and careless for
wealth, religion, sex and liberalization.
ASTAVAKRA SAYS: who has forgotten, this has been done and this
has not been done all become equal, done it is okay, not done it is
okay.
His attitude becomes neglecting of every thing. What is the matter of
other things even if liberalization is standing in front of him he is no
more interested in it. Who has no desire at all he is liberated one.

says this is right and this is wrong and religion says what ever there is that
is. Nothing is wrong and nothing is right. A gentleman does all his work

Saint lets the happenings happen. Sage is not a doer because he speaks
against you. You are interested in women he speaks about Brahanchatya.
You are interested in wealth he talks about renouncement. You
understand a gentleman as a saint. Actually you are not able to understand
thoroughly. Enjoyments are waste for saint even renouncement is also
waste for him. For a sage enjoyment is waste as well as along with
enjoyment renouncement is also useless. It is very

When we are detached with some thing, we detach with that more power
fully and that is no liberation. Wise lives free from duality like a child.
He doses no efforts to be anything. He is happy as it is. 16.8
The passionate man wants to eliminate world so as to avoid pain, but
the dispassionate man is free from pain and feels no distress even in
it. Attached one runs from pain where as none attached one by
awakening gets rid off pains. He do not run, he just sees the pains as
witness and become free from all pains and pleasures. As soon as
man is able to see pain, pain looses his position. All the pains are
there because of I am body, I am this and I am that. As soon as
witness is awakening, neither I am body nor heart. I remain as
conscious and at the same moment pain disappears. 16.9
``
Unless you are not awakening, Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh will make you
to understand you will not. Until and unless you forget all, what ever
you have learned, until and unless all thoughts vanishes you will not get
in salvation. 16.11
Until and unless the desires are live. Renouncing, gaining and grabbing
are alive. Desire is the main problem of men. If you understand the desire
and hunger of desire, you will be able to understand the reason of grief
and pain and who ever will be able to understand the reason of pain he
will take no time to get rid off the same. He will take no time to remove
the pain. It is the main reason not getting rid off the grief and pain
because you do not know the correct reason of your grief. Till you will
not understand the reason of your grief, you will be going on increasing
your grief and pain. I would like to put my personal experience in this
regard to understand it properly.

say they were not interested to meet me. Younger one was talking to
me some time but elder one was not at all interested to talk to me. This
was very pain full and I was very much in grief that my sons are not in
talking terms with me. I was feeling very sad and painful. One day I
questioned my self why are you in grief? It is not in your hand, what
can you do? By doing you have reached at this position. Now what do
you want from them? This was the major question which struck to my
mind that what you want from your sons? Then the reply came from
within that I am their father they should respect me they should behave
properly. Some one said within, that is not in your hand. It is okay that
they are your sons but don’t forget that they are separate body and
they have there own way of thinking, if they don’t like you how can you
make them like. It is impossible you can do no thing. You can do only
one thing that you don’t want any thing from them, pain will go
automatically. It is the only thing that you can do. You are in pain and
grief because you want some thing from them. You don’t desire any
thing from them, pain will go automatically and from that day onwards I
left the desire to get anything from my sons. I understood that it is
there will, they want to talk to me or not. There is one saying that you
can take the horse to water pond but you can not make him to drink.
When I got understood this I become fully calm and peace full. Now
there was no pain and there was no grief or sadness within. I was sad
because I desired some thing or other from my sons and as soon as I
left that desire I become happy and peaceful. Then I have written
DEKHA HAI HAR CHAH BANI AKHIR MAIN DUKH KA KARAN.
Means every desire is the reason of your pain. You be desire less,
your pain will go. After that another thought struck to me that I should
leave all kind of desires but reply came back very fast from the heart
that how it would be possible this in worldly life, it is not at all possible
to leave all
``
desire. But it is very true if you want peace you have to leave all
kind of desires.
I have written one line but I was unable to complete the Sher. I remember
one incident of Galib Shahib’s life. Once upon a time Galib Shahib was
sitting in his house garden with his wife. His wife was sitting
and Galib head was in her lap and his eyes were in the sky. Galib seen a
crow flying in the sky and there is a grape in his mouth. He said his wife
Begum Begum see: Kove Ke Mounh Main Angoor Khuda Ki Kudrat.
Begum said please complete the Sher Galib Shahib. Galib said again ;
KOVE KE MOUNH MAIN ANGOOR KHUDA KI KUDARAT. Now
Begun could not keep her mouth set. She said TUJH JAISE
LANGOOR KE PAHLOO MAIN MUJH JAISEE HOOR KHUDA KI
KUDRAT. Like wise I was also unable to complete the Sher. It has
taken one year to complete the Sher. I started to check all kind of
desires.
You have desire for salvation. You want to do Satsang, you want to sit
with saints to get peace and salvation. According to our scripture we are
suppose to get rid of travelling of life and death. So you have lot of good
things to desire and I started to desire one by one all of them and you will
be surprised to know that up to one year I was going on doing these
practical in life. I was desiring I was grabbing some thing or other
whatever I was liking but all in vain, at last I have seen there is no use of
any thing to desire, there is pain and grief every where. Behind the every
desire there was pain and then I left all desire. Even the desire for God.
Then second line was being made that; DEKHA HAI HER CHAH
BANI AKHIR MAIN DUKH KA KAARAN PHIR BHI CHAHE
MOCACHH (Salvation) ADHAR, CHHAHNA AKHIR NAA CHHODA
and that is why in those days I focused my attention to Astavakra and
lord Sri Krishna after studying these two personalities now there is
nothing left to
``
He who is content, with purified senses, and always enjoys solitude, has
gained the fruit of knowledge and the fruit of the practice of yoga too. 17
The person who is self contented is living with his soul, having pure
senses and always move by himself all alone in this world he only gets
the fruits of knowledge. The person who does not desire any thing and
is fully contented is always away from senses. Senses do not affect
him. When senses are pure and under complete control then the
person is in perfect peace and tranquility. Actually this is the real slab
which every one gets into and then nothing is left to be done or
achieved. Pure senses under control perfect peace of mind, real
commitment in life with no desire of anything and living in oneself
without any ones company will make a person humble and
compassionate. Every thing impossible seems possible.17.1
``
You can go into a cave physically away from all but mind does not permit you
to be alone and that is the problem. Kill your mind and feel within yourself that
there is no one else. Develop this habit to live mentally alone then only
you can say that you are nondual even if some one comes near you, you feel
that he/she is not different from you. You and he /she are the source having
same god, same consciousness within and there is no duality. You may be in
the crowd b feel all are one and the same. No difference at all.

VII Astavakra says only that persons is happy and content who do
not bother for this world whether it is destroyed or not.
Happenings of this world do not affect him. He is un attached to
all, he is what he is. He thinks for all and he is always peace full.
VIII What ever he hears, smells and sees, he is happy. No complain
in life. He accepts every thing given to him. He pays his gratitude to
lord for all things, he knows that he is a witness and not a doer and
that is sufficient for him to get peace in life. Nothing is left to be done
whatever has been done is done and no more to do now.

Article no. 63 No desire‐ no renouncement. Awaken.
X What a strange thing that the realized soul neither sleeps nor wake
up nor moves his eye brows. This is the position of the wise person as
he does not do any action by himself. His doer ship comes to an end.

XII: A wise person is always stable seeing all and listening all,
eating, and walking. For him nothing matters –he is what he is
always. He does not attach himself with any activities in this world.
Article no. 64 Equanimity in all.
XIII: He neither takes anything nor gives. Victory and defeat do not
affect him. Criticize does not touch him. He is above all emotions.
His body is tuned like that no climate cold summer touch him.
Because he has drink the nectar of divinity and he is always lost in
Him. The worldly things do not matter to him. He is above the
world by activities though lives in this world by body. He has
enjoyed the real bliss and hence all worldly pleasure is nothing to
him. From outside he looks life less though he is full of life within.
XIV: The wise does not become passionate or seeing his wife
sensually aroused. He is also not troubled by seeing the death before
him. Passions for life and fear for death are natural emotions but for a
wise they are all killed. Passion for life is blind. Even the handicapped
do not want to die. It is all foolish……………..
``
liberated person does not love any one nor hates any one he is not
greedy for anything and he keeps his mind away from attachment. He
does what he does and forgets all after the actions is over. Without
any attachment he consumes the available and non available things
alike. For him no difference in anything, any situation, anywhere with
anyone. He is always what he really is he has no affect like lotus
leaves. He is not touched by worldly happenings. Actually the things
you want to get or enjoy disturb you more when you do not get them.
They are very disturbing but the wise and learned one never cares for
things which are not available. Actually available things are not as
disturbing as the unavailable for which you have a desire to get. There
for it is required to be desire less for every thing. The learned is happy
whether he gets things or does not get things.

One established in the Absolute state with an empty mind does not know
the alternatives of inner stillness and lack of inner stillness, and of good
and evil.

street of love is very thin two can not come in. Only one can come
in not two. There is no you or ‘I’. Beyond both, is it not wonderful?
Awakening means that is sleeping within let him awake.You have to
move your soul realize that the whole world is false and un real and
nothing will come out of it so long you are after it. The real is one and
only one .You is not different from Him. How can you find him? He is
within you and you are within him. It means both are the same. There
is no duality. You have to realize that it is the part of the supreme
soul who is kind enough to send a part of it to your body to keep it
alive. Without his particle this body is of no use that will be without life
and conscious. Because of him –these human bodies are alive. If he
orders his particle to come back –your body is dead, salute to that
realization of oneness which renounces the darkness of life and
enlightens you. Once enlighten has arisen than there is no darkness
no worry and you are enlightened soul.
67 you can earn enjoy but can not get peace with
out leaving all.
One may get all sorts of pleasure by the acquisition of various objects
``
You just take care of one thing: when ever you are doing some
thing with out desiring you are getting pleasure and happiness and
when you desire to get some thing you are getting pain.
``
This is the way of your seeing. You can not see what is actually
there. You see every thing by your own angle. The day you will
be able to see the truth you will be surprised.
When all habits are dead and you have perfect peace within then
you will be able to see what is unreal and what is real. There is a
big net of attachments, relation ships, love and hate etc, in this
world and that is why this world is unreal.
``
The man becomes self involved when he is away from attachment. The
person who has realized his soul he get rid of all waves. The person who
is not desirous to see any thing in his own way he becomes peaceful.
Who has set in equanimity he is glorious. VI:
Astavakra says a learned person lives like a child when he considers
the whole world as temporary and imaginary. He moves in this world
as free bird and free soul. So long you treat this world as real you see
yourself as bounded, the moment you know this world as unreal and
soul is free. All illusion disappears. You consider yourself bounded
and so you are, you leave this thought and you are liberated. VII:

fight no discussion, when all are one when you consider as two
then discussion and fight comes in. IX:

He thought what kind of this place is? Is it the place for meditation? He
thought to run away immediately but he thought some thing and
stopped. At least I should have a look of the Guru who has opened
this Ashram here. When he went in he was surprised to see that there
were hundreds of crows flying over the Asharam because it was the
time for feeding for Bodhas and after feeding they were throwing some
thing for them that is why all the crows were flying over there. There
were lot of noise and there only all the Bodha disciples were
meditating. Some one is walking as some Bodha do meditation even
by walking. Some one was sitting peaceful below the tree and
meditating. He has started looking on. He could not understand it
properly. Every thing was against the teachings of meditation. But
there was very peace on the faces of Bodha disciples as all this is not
happening over there or other wise as they are some where else in
some other universe where all these doesn’t matters and are not
reaching there or not effecting. After seeing the faces of these Bodha
disciples he thought to stay for few days there.

he stop for three days when he realized some thing in three days
then he stop for one week. When he stopped for one week slowly
he realized that it does not matter there is noise in the centre or
cars are running, crows are crying, dogs are barking. These all

Because experiment of Vippashyana is not to react where there
are actions. Become reaction less. When we are reaction less our
heart will be in peace. There is no need to be attentive any where.

Learned is one who has awakened and see that there is nothing
to get in this false world. What ever you want to get that is
already with you. You are above all. No one can disturb you
unless you are disturbed. It is your misunderstanding. When
there is no problem, no worry when you don’t want to get any
thing, no fame, no defeat, no respect and no disrespect. You
develop in such a way that nothing affects you whether you get or
do not get. Your internal, mental happiness and peace is only
within and nothing else so aspiring for. 18/21:

Whether I had wished to hang the Ishu and to put the nails in
his body? Whether I had wished to kill millions of SiaSunni in
Karbla? Whether I had wished poison for Sukrat and Meera.
Whether I wished to through Parlhad from the peak of
mountain? No nothing happens by my desire in the world. It is
all illusion. Devotee is in illusion. 18/25:

You get peace only when ideas are exhausted and the mind
gets weaker and weaker due to tidiness.
There is a very old story. God has made the man. Man was
alone. He prayed the god that he is alone kindly send some one.
God has made a woman and sent to him. But that woman was
horrible because some time she was singing well and some time
getting angry some time she was cool like moon some time firing
fire from her mouth. When in anger she was like sun and when in
love she was cool like moon. That man was tired off with in three
days. He said it is a problem. I was better alone.
After living with the lady for three days he realized the joy of
loneliness. You can not realize the joy of aloofness with out living
with some one. He runs to God. He says: pardon me. What I
demanded was wrong. I made a mistake. You please take her back I
don’t want her. It is a big problem. She will make me mad. Some
time she is alright but some time she gets mad some time she loves
and some time she gets angry. I am not able to understand how she
changes. Kindly keep her with you. God said as you like.
He left the lady for three days with god and get back to his home.
He started remembering her, her sweet singing, her beautiful
eyes. He again went to the god after three days and asked the
god pardon me. Kindly give her back to me. She is beautiful. She
was cooking and feeding me. Now there is no one to welcome
me when I come back from Jungle. I am sad. When she was at
home she was offering me tea coffee. She was always at the
door waiting for me. Now life is very dull. Please give her back to
me. God said as you like. Take her away.

Again he got mad after three days. Again he went to the god.
God said: set up. Neither you can live with her nor with out
her. Now, you live with her and since the man is living.
Poet says you have realized that there is pain in every desire
even though you desire to meditate for salvation, desire not
left. Desire for salvation is also a desire after all.
When some one goes into meditation to get rid of
some thing is the opposite side of a thing that he can
renounce. Liberate does not go into meditation. The learned is
ever liberated. He thinks this world as un real and will die one
day. He lives like a Brahma in this world. He always considers
this world temporary. If an ordinary person asks about god, it
is only because of curiosity. Just a child ask question but does
not bother whether he gets an answer or not. After some time
he forgets his question. God can not be realized by curiosity.
One has to develop a deep sight to get him. When
discrimination is not there meditation is not required just as
medicine is not required when you are not sick.
An egoist does not care for the common good in this world.
Though soul does not work but still an egoist works while an ego
less person awakes but still he does not work. Astavakra’s whole
philosophy is to convert a doer into nondoer. 18/29:

Worldly men practice a lot for the incantation of the mind and
its constant opposition. But a peaceful person lives peacefully
as his nature like a sleeping person and sees that there is
nothing to do here. 18/33:

18/34:In spite of the best efforts the foolish person never gets
peace and happiness. A person with determination gets into
soul. A universe person does not get happiness even after
putting efforts or otherwise. While a learned man knowing the
facts of life gets happiness. An ignorant man tries his best for
happiness but never gets it and on the contrary he gets into
trouble. He tries for happiness but get troubles. Be aware that
happiness does not come by running after it. Without running
for happiness it comes automatically on your awakening not
physically but mentally. Mental awakening is a must for
happiness. What’s real truth –if it comes into mind then you
have reached where you wanted to reach.

If someone asks you “is there god” and you say
–“Yes”. You have not seen god but still you fight for your ideas
with others who believes that god is not there. Both persons
oppose each other with out having any proof in there favor. Why
people behave like this? Why not they accept each others ideas
and maintain their peace. People repeat on the basis of they
heard. You preach what you have listened. Other one preaches
what he has listened. The only fact is your own experience. One
should talk on the basis of his experience. It is always better to
say –‘I do not know’ when you are not sure of anything.

this fact has got what he wanted to get, nothing is to get now.
Know yourself and forget this world which is unreal and be at
peace within and without.

and the other is wrong. Mistake is ours that we do not want two
types of person. Let there be believers in god and also against
this. What difference it makes for you .You see them both without
reaction and remain negative for both. Say both are right –What
do you lose? Feel it. I am enjoying within and not concerned for
others. You act as you want to act and let others act as they
want. Why go after them? Why bother –who is right and who is
wrong. You be right at least and live your life in perfect peace and
rest. You do not allow their noise to enter within you.
18/43:Man with pure wisdom experience the pure and non dual
soul but being attached in this world they fail to recognize it. That
is why they live all life without happiness. Because of their ego
that I am above all they do not recognize the soul. If this Iness is
destroyed then only he can understand what the soul
is?Salvation means base less.18/44
A worldly man attached with this world can never
live with out the base of this world. He thinks the world as
everything and nothing more. A wise liberate person has no
base in the world. He considers the world as base –less,
useless and with out any attraction and that is why he is
always liberate when all bases in the world destroyed then
there is no sense to live under. He is in the open eyes with
god when you are naked and without any support from any
side –then you are only inner soul, the lord alone.

Now heart and mind never demand. Until and unless you
have not recognized the oneness of divinity with in you will be
in illusion of so many. Soul is one; mind and hearts are so
many. Knowing the soul man becomes peaceful.

You must have heard that god is every where at all places and
even in non living things. There is no such thing in the universe
where god is not there. God is there in schedule caste also but
people are not under standing it. Schedule caste is not different
from divinity. God is equally divided in all. Lord Shree Krishna has
described in Madbhagvadgeeta that I am equally present in Men
womenChandal –Elephant and Brahman. Even though people
are not catching hold of the actual and fighting considering them
selves upper caste and the other one lower caste because of
their own selfishness. It is all politics.
Budha said main thing is awakening. This disciple is little bit weak

Astavakra says: see hear eat drink live in the world happily.
Don’t renounce, don’t enjoy within, Just awaken. That
awakening is the last thing.
You must have heard the stories of Rishi Munis that the dancers
of the heaven are teasing them. Where from the dancers would

come. What they have left and run away there are the illusions of
the same. No one is teasing. What is the need the heaven
dancers have to tease these Viswamitras. Dancers have no time.
They are not free from their heaven deities. Why they would
come to tease these bone less Rishis. Where there are
attractions in their bodies to attract the dancers of the heaven.
Where from the dancers would have fallen in love with these
bone less and weak Rishis Munis. They might be afraid off by
seeing their faces. But the heaven dancers Menka Rambha
come to tease them, to dance in front of them. There is some
thing wrong with these Rishis. They have fled from women; they
have never enjoyed them hence these women were being left
within their heart and mind. These are the illusions and
imaginations of their heart and mind.

and eating but he is always the same. He is fully settled in himself,

also after using them. Sense organs do not disturb him whether he
uses or not. He uses sense organs like other organs of

the body. They do not give him any pleasure. For him they are
dead, through some one action spot broaches on face but he is
not moved or angry. He quietly rubbed it off. No reaction no
action, unperturbed, un incurved as he was. That is greatness

18/67: The learned wise person is above all. He never cares for
result of any action. He is always soul conscious and not body
conscious but the ego goes away. You like it or not, want it or not
but breath coming and going are constant whether you require it
or not who control the breath, life giving force, in every living
being. We have to realize this and try to reach him.
Its own ego who tries to control own breath etc. But
the ego makes way for him to reach you. All preaching’s all
Vedic norms to achieve him are of no use unless you clear

Article No. 98 Awaken is desire less in
enjoyments as well as in salvation.
18/68,69.Astavakra after saying a lot till now, now says what is
the use of saying so many things time and again? Whatever you
say is always incomplete. There is always much more to say.
Better we realize enjoyment sense organs perform. There
assigned functions biologically then why care for them. Let them
play and die in due course. Don’t try to give life to dead and also
don’t try to kill when it is alive. They are time bound. They came
automatically and go automatically. It is your unnecessary worry
which raises you. Forget this body it will decay one day you go

head in this world but not for the world. Worldly things should
not please you. I am not for this world. I am not slave to
worldly things. I should ignore them, forget them. If you try to
forget –you remember more and more. Simply think I am not
of this world. I am above all and reach him after killing the
middle humble .i.e., world .Behavior jeev and Brahma, there
is Mayaso get rids of Maya to clear the path.

So many days past that second young man not came back. First
one was very up set. He could not get the place where there is no
one to see. Side Street is enough. I also brought it killing in the

same street. Guru said; keep silence and wait. Until and
unless that second one will not return I will not give you any
reply. Let him come.
Many days past, second one not returned. First one was very
much worried. He said you please give me your teachings.
Now there is no hope to return of him. He has not come back.
Don’t know he will be back or not. Guru again said him to
wait.
Second young man came back after so many days. He came with
the live penguin. He was not in very good position. He handed
over the penguin back to Guru and said it is not possible. You
have put me in problem. I have searched every where, there was
no such place where there is no one to see. I went under ground.
No one was there. There were no rays of light even. There was
no question of seeing by any one. But this penguin was looking at
me. His eyes were looking at me. I said he is looking. I have
closed him in a box so that his eyes could not see me. Then
again I went under ground. Even though, I was defeated.
Because I was present there and I was also looking at. You have
said no one should be there. What is this condition? Now I take
him any where I will be present there. I am defeated. Now I came
back. Now if you desire you give me your teachings if you do not
desire don’t give. But I have got a lot in this exam only. I have
understood one thing that presence of oneness is such which
never lost. That is mine. I have tested the soul. You have made
me to feel the soul.
Guru said; you will get the spirituality knowledge and said to
first one to run away. Don’t come back again.
``
You sit in any where in the dark, but you are there. One thing
you will feel even in the darkness that is your being. That is
beyond darkness. To know him there is no need of light. That
is our self light. Who has realized it he is blessed.
``
The learned person does not pray for good persons and he
also does not criticize the bad person. He is always the same
in happy or unhappy emotions. Such a yogi is always happy
when a man is so balanced that he is not moved in good or
bad, right or wrong, life and death, he is called omniscient. He
feels that he has nothing to do now.8182/18
18/84: Astavakra says the learned person is not attached to his wife or
son. He is never after any desire. He is away free from his bodily
worries and he is always happy without any expectation or hopes. He
is above life and death. He is not involved in his sensual activities. He
is away from I, my and you relations. His love is above all worldly
material things and he is always lost in godly feelings. For him love is
god. He knows and understands that every thing is unreal except soul.
Death of the body is must –so why worry for this what is must is
always must. No one can avoid why worry for certainties in life.

In the end when all ways are open and all darkness is washed
away from inside, what is left to trouble. Nothing; such love less
saints treats the stone and gold alike. No hatred for stone and to
love for gold, such a man only shines in the world because the
dust of useless things is washed away, unless the knots of the
love and attachment are broken totally you can not experience the
difference between salvation and in unreal world.

18/90:
Seeing but not seeing, speaking but not speaking, such a
person without any passion cannot be weighed against anything
except the passion less and desire less person, who else is to
feel speechless though speaking, blind though seeing and
knowing every thing but actually not knowing. He who has
renounced the present and future and is fully contented and
satisfied in life, he is happy in this world all over.
18/9192 One who has forgotten good or bad, light or dark, worries
and pleasures, days and night, defeat and victory, he is now neutral
and nothing can disturb him. He is in peace. For him a beggar and
king are alike. He respects both. He cannot differentiate the right or
wrong. Both are alike to him. He is damn happy in himself and no
outer agency can please him. He is always and every where the same
like lotus leaf untouched by water or dust through always covered by
them.

person who has peaceful mind does not go with the crowd of the
world nor does he go to forest. He is equal at all places and under
all emotions he is in peace within. Be aware if you are not happy at
your place you can never be happy at any place. One can be
happy at all places. Places do not matter it is you to know yourself.

Chapter no—19
Article No. 112. Operation is over.
Janak had expressed his anxiousness to Astavakra about the
essence of this life. He wanted to know the real knowledge about
this life. He simply wanted to know in brief but Astavakra
explained in detail and told him what ever he could. After getting
the details as explained in 18 chapters so far, Janak could
understand all that he wanted to know, without any yoga, prayer
and any chanting etc. He has got the knowledge of what he
wanted. Just by listening he got awaken nothing is to be done any
more now.
19/1:
By your basic wisdom and knowledge blessed to me, I have
renounced my all doubts. I got rid of all waves rising in my heart and
stomach and I feel very comfortable now. Janak says all the pains and
problems in my heart and stomach have been thrown out by your
words of wisdom.
Janak said that now I am completely liberated from so many
thoughts I had collected so far by different books and saints, all
doubts are crystal clear now. I am at peace within and do not
want any further knowledge.
19/2:
Janak is settled peacefully within his soul and does not want anything
through world, religion and salvation. Neither the wealth nor the
dualism exists any more in me. Now after this awakening when I see
the world –I see only one thing that I am on my throne and have
nothing to do. All illusions have disappeared? The religion, the
passions, desire and also the running after wealth. All have been
destroyed. I do not aspire for any outer enjoyment now when I have
got the real bliss without any senses and there outcome.
``
19/3:
For me there is no past or future now. Even present lost for me no
more illusion for this world or that world now. I am fixed and settled
in myself and do not run for anything any more. I am above time
and space. Nothing disturbs me now I am above every thing and
have learnt what I wanted to learn. I am satisfied completely and
nothing can move me from my stand.
19/4: WITNESSING HAS HAPPENED.
I am in my own now and so there is no worry, no good or bad and
no profit or loss. Soul or no soul, teacher or no teacher this idea is
no more with me. All strains of this and that have died in me.
There is no way of opposites in me and so I am peaceful.
19/5:
Now I have been fearless in all status of sleeping, dreaming or
walking. No fear, no disturbance at any time, at any place under any
circumstances. All are same forever. I am no more worried about four
stages given in books. Religion, wealth, Actions, and salvations
st
when 1 three stages have gone then the question of forth does not
arise. Janak says to Astavakra do not misguide now. When three stages
have died then fourth can not stay alive. For me all the four killed.
Astavakra says –Janakyou have passed in the test and you are
right now. The four disturbs the mind, when mind is away from
fear then nothing can disturb the mind. No mind and so no fear
and so no more disturbance of sleep, dreams and walking
stages.
Janak clarified all doubts of Astavakra by hinting that even if
he is dead even then I am only a witness. The guru accepted his
stage and success in life.

CHAPTER20
Article No. 113 In my face less form there is nothing.
Janak had a very small anxiety like a seed for the real meaning
of existence. Astavakraji made a tree of a seed explaining the
essence of life to Janak.
Janak is again summarizing the tree to a seed what Astavakra has
explained. Janak is also enclosing the conclusion which has become
the internal light for him. After reading janak’s statement, we will feel
as if he has repeated what Astavakra said. Why Janak is doing so? If
you go deep in to the seen you will feel that Janak has put his soul into
it. Now janak speaks in his own voice after listening Astavakra’s
preaching in this chapter the last chapter of Astavakra gita’s.
20/1:
Janak says –where is the body and the five elements used to make
this body. Where is the mind and where are the senses? Where that is
zero the ultimate stage where I have reached? As a blind man gets
eyes suddenly and gets surprised, similarly Janak is seeing himself
near the body but he feels he is not the body. He is near the mind but
actually he is far off from the mind. Actions took place but he could not
be acts though quite near them. Janak does not believe that he is near
every thing but still his body is unaffected. He faced so many
pleasures and worries in life but he is still neutral now without any
effect. His body and mind are blank as if nothing has happened to him.
He is like a lotus leaf in a lake. The body faced all activities but I am
not the body. Janak said if we understand that we all are not body’s
,we are consciousness then nothing can touch us –only bodies are
touched which are always dead without the help of consciousness.

When Janak saw that all is zero then he left the zero also and
get away. He only became a witness and observer and so
detached himself from body, actions, mind and zero etc.1/20
WHERE THERE IS TWOI AM NOT.
I am away from all ups and downs of life. When ever there are two
sides I am not there. When life and death, destruction and
construction, good or bad something exist I am not these. I am neither
man nor woman. That is all I am –I am nothing more. All waves are of
mind and brain. Soul does not have any arm, souls position is always
changeless and thoughtless. Janak emphases that he is out of
dualism of life. He sees simply both but not involved in anyone. I am
no thirstier for any thing the question of quenching the thirst does not
arise. When I am not hungry then how can I say I am full? When
desire is dead then all is dead when I do not want anything nothing
attracts me. I am neutral and peaceful.2/20

IT MUST BE SELF EXEPERIENCE OF KNOWLEDGE.
Astavakra must be very pleased to see that his disciple Janak is
totally changed. His purpose is solved. Everything was lost for
janak. No freedom, no slavery, no bondage, no ownership, no
dullness, no activity had any meaning for him. He was free from all
attachments whether position or negation.
Astavakra told janak –that your experience is true and not of the
teacher. Do not accept any thing unless you have tried yourself.
Apply on yourself the experience and see the result and then
believe.5/20
ARTICLE NO 114 ‘THERE IS NO TWO’
Since there is no more dualism in me, the question of this world or
that world does not arise. Neither there is wisdom nor bondage nor
salvation. Finally I am alone and that too away from this body. For
me every thing is over and so the desire of anything is not left. I
freely move in the world without any attachment in this life and
also after this life. Janak says that the idea of two is over for me. I
do not have any disturbance in my mind as I am I only. Janak
admits before his guru Astavakra that you have awakened me only
by your words. Simply hearing to your words –I am
transformed.6/20
The philosophy of devotion and devotee is dead now. Nothing is left to
be done as nothing is left to be achieved. Under the circumstances
Janak says that he does not see anything, if at all there is anything it
is only one and one only not two. The inside is blank and hence no
worry, no problem, no disturbance. Only peace and peace is left
within and I am happy internally and externally. I am not left to do
anything. I am
``
free without any affect on me for any side what else is required
now? Nothing – I got all I wanted to get.7/20
FOOL CLAIMS WISE NEVER CLAIM.
Janak says I am without any knowledge and also I do not wish
to get any knowledge. There is no knowledge and there is no
knower. A learned person does not feel any thing about himself.
He is empty all around. Nothing is inside and outside.
When there is one and one only then who knows, what to know,
how to know? In the last moment of the wisdom knowledge is also
finished. Whose wisdom gone he is wise. Whose knowledge gone
he is knowledgeable. Fools only claim that they are wise. Wise
man never claims.
Gautam Budha was silence when people asked him, God is
there? Budtha was silence. People announced that Budtha know
nothing, there for he is silence and dumb. Religious leaders of
our country have thrown Budtha out of country because they
have got the benefit of his silence.
Budtha was silence. He has not replied because he knows that what
ever the reply will be given that would be wrong. In the reply it self
there will be claim that I know. Say yes or say no. Where am I? Where
knowing? What is there to know? Such space less situation then only
Janak says where is some thing and where is any thing? Old all has
gone and new is so new that it can not be described in words. 8/20
I AM ACTIONLESS. ALL ACTIONS ARE OF HEART AND MIND.
When I am always action less then there is no concern, no
meditation, no pleasures, no worries, no foolishness and also no
knowledge for me to feel. Happiness and worries are products of the
mind and they do not affect the soul. All these worldly activities, ups
and down are no
``
more for me. They do not touch me internally. They may come and
go but I am not concerned. I am living in the sea but the waves do
not effect me. Waves do not touch me. They are all with in me.
Janak says – I am in the world but not of the world in any way “I do
not exist for the world and like wise the world also does not exist
for me, Nothing can disturb now? No one – I am above all. They
may come and pass by without any affect on me. 910/20
ALL IS ONE NO YES OR NO FOR DIVINITY.
I am left with soul and so no more questions. No man in this world and
its creation affect me. For me they do not exist when the very existence is
denied that how they can affect me. I am away from the idea of soul or
premature. I am neutral. Nothing affects me now. janak is going to say
that there is nothing like guru and devotee in life. Janak again and again
feels that nothing is any more then why should I feel about them .What is
mine and what is not mine –I do not know whom to catch, whom to leave?
Whom to accept, whom to renounce, when there is nothing then my self.
Except me nothing exists. Everything belongs to one only and we all are
also one in whole. There is no difference between you, he, him and me.
One should understand this fact of life when all are the same, then all
problems are automatically solved, god resides in all living beings and all
living beings reside in god. Then where is the worry for anyone. It is our
understanding the real
Janak has reached where he wanted to reach. After reaching the final
stage of life he is not like this or like that. He is the same there is no way
for any thing. He does not want, does not aspire for anything. For him all
similarities are gone, like purity, impurity, richness, poorness, straight
and weakness, good or bad, proper or improper. Janak does
``
not want any more knowledge, any wisdom, any lecture, or any
guru or any disciple. Janak has reached the real stage of life
where nothing affects any more. 13/20
Divinity is oneness with the whole.
No more attest or thirst for Janak you may be god loving or not
loving, god fearing or not fearing it does not affect him. Living ones
and god are one. The problem is there where there are two. There is
no two. Finally Janak says that to say dualism or nondualism is also
meaning less now I am nothing and do not want to be anything any
more.
There is nothing to say. Neither God is there nor god is not there.
So far Astavakra said one and oneness now Janak says: to say
one is also waste.
It is very wonderful. It means no wave rises now. All have become
complete or Zero. Now I have rested in supreme peace. This can
happen with you also. It needs your cooperation. It all depends on
you.
I would like to tell you a small story. There was a saint very old
and famous. People were coming from far away to ask some
thing or other but that saint always maintained his silence. Some
time he writes few lines on the sand when some one asks a lot.
Contented is always happy.
Don’t run away, awake.
Do not think, loose and get. Small small sentence like that only.
People were not satisfied with that. They wanted the reply in detail.
They were not able to understand that why he is not giving the reply
of their questions in a proper manner. So many wise persons came
and gone but that saint was just smiling and writing the same old
words,
``
Contented is always happy. Awake do not run away. Loose
yourself and get it. No one could make him ready to speak.
But there was some thing in him which attracts the people from all
around. One day it has happened that one young man came and
snatched the bar from his hand. There was no eagerness in his eyes
even. He was not eager to ask any thing. He was very peaceful.
He was also silence like that saint. He has written on the sand that
how your light would destroy my darkness? Saint written in his reply.
What is darkness? Where is darkness? Are you lost in darkness?
That young man just hesitated and again written, whether to be lost is
actually lost. That saint peeped in the eyes of that young man with
love and affection and written on the sand, no. To be lost is not
actually lost. You have just forgotten. Remembrance has lost nothing
else. So far lot of people gathered there. No one was able to
understand. All started laughing. People could not understand what he
has written. Saint quickly cleared all that and written again, which
desire brought you here? Young man wrote desire – what desire? I
have no desire. There is no desire left within me. After reading this
saint just jumped up on his feet, raised his right leg and thrown it on
the ground three times. Then he closed his eyes and stood like a
stone for some time, breathless. There was silence all over. Public
was also standstill silently. That young man could not understand any
thing. He forgot that he has taken oath to be speechless and he has
spoken, what you have done and why? Saint laughed away and
written again on the sand – desire to know is also a shape of desire.
Young man screamed I have heard that there is a great verse
renouncing which man could be one with whole and I know that is with

Saint has written very fast that is you only. That verse is you only. Are
you differ from divinity even for a moment? Saint has suddenly raised
his bar and struck it on the head of the young man. Stars moved all
around the eyes of that young man but he has emerged in some deep
happiness and pleasant situation that he spent lot of hours in that
situation. The day was over, the young man was happy within. After
three days that old saint forgot that he was to be silence. Silence was
broken and he said after all you returned to home.
Young man said nothing and with out speaking, peeping in the
eyes of the old saint he wrote on the sand, only the
remembrance came back. 14/20

There is no need to wait. It is a leap. There is no need to climb up
step by step. It can happen right now. It will happen this very
moment or otherwise it will never happen, if you left it for tomorrow.
Listening means you are not doing. It happens while you are
listening. It is not an act. It is happening.
No one can awake up you but you can awaken your self. Awaken the
pure consciousness with in. Look at the things as an on looker; don’t
think, because thinking means processes of the mind have started.

( C ) There is no other
one.
Astavakra said; you are one observer of all and always free.
You are presuming some one else as observer. Actually you
are also a observer.7
How much do you know about your ‘self’? If you want to know your
‘self’ you will have to stop looking in the eyes of others. If you want to
know your self (soul), you have to leave people behind.
Generally people live for the crowd and people die for the
crowd. What other say become very important for you.

The dog barked but there was only mirror after mirror. Echo returned
back. He barked all night and chased the mirror, scratched on the
mirror and bathed in his own blood. No one else was there. Dog
was found dead in the morning. There were blood stains all
over the place.
His story is the story of man. There is no other one. Other one
does not exist.
Here is only one in all of us but this will not be understood by you
until and unless you caught hold of “one” with in you. You are the
one observer of all.
Your bondage is that in you see some one else as the observer.

Second Chapter 5
(A) LIGHT YOUR OWN LAMP AND MOVE ON YOUR OWN PATH.
You believe that I am body. This is wrong. You are not body. This
is our misperception. This is our habit and we have believed it so
deeply that we became body. We become what we believe.
Our belief is our world and the moment we drop the belief we can
immediately feel Changes and to drop the belief, nothing is to be
changed. Only the idea of being Body is to be dropped.

(B) You are no sinner. Sins can not even touch you.
You are alone, void of action, self illuminated and innocent.
Your bondage is this that you practice Samadhi.15/1
Maditation can not be practiced because meditation means mental
projections. Mental projection arises because the “being” is not known.
When you are doing meditation you become doer. You are nor doer.
You are alone. No one is your companion. The body is not your
companion, the breath is not your companion and thoughts are
not your companion. Husband, wife, family, friends, beloved
One, none are your companion. Neither they are born with you nor
will they go with you.
No union can be made with any one with in. There for
Bhagwan Srikrishna has said in Geeta I never die. I am
beyond death.
You are alone, void of action. Do not raise the question of your Karma’s.
If you asks Astavakra ,’ one can be liberated right now then what will
happen to the fruits of our past Karma;s. Astavakra will say, you have
never done that. Out of vital energy life may have done some thing .
Out of own needs the mind may have done some thing. You have never
done any thing. You always stand separate, in non doing position. Doing
has never happened through you. You are the observer of all action.
Consider it, in this way; if we have to destroy the whole web of past
Karma’s, we can never do so. It is impossible. We have done so many

acts over infinite births and if we have to be released from all
these past Karma’s then the release will take an infinite time,
And during that infinite life time you won’t be sitting idle. You will be doing
some thing, some good and some bad Karma’s. So Karma’s will again be
done and will be accumulated. THIS CHAIN WILL BE ENDLESS. This
chain will never finish. It will never come to An end and you will never be
liberated. Astavakra says if you have to be liberated you have to Become
free from all the past karma’s other wise liberation can never happen.
Actually you are Free if you can see with in.
Existence of liberation is the proof that being has never done any
thing. You are neither a sinner nor saint. You are not virtuous. There is
no hell any where, there is no heaven. You have never done any
thing. You are thinking that you are doing. It is your belief that you are
doing, actually You are just sleeping in the body and the bodies are
doing. Those bodies that did those things are gone long ago. How can
the fruits of their actions be your. You were just sleeping within.
The mind acted, the mind that acted disappeared with that
body. No sins belong to you. You are sinless. No sin can touch
you. YOU JUST AWAKE UP. BY AWAKENING, you will find
you have never done any thing.
You are self illuminated and innocent. Have you
heard this proclamation? You are innocent.
THROUGH AWAY WHAT PUNDITS, PUJARI’S AND MAHATMA’S
HAVE TAUGHT YOU THAT YOU ARE THE SINNER. You are not the
sinner. You are innocent. Their teachings has made you sinner. They
have taught you a thousand ways that you are bad, you are sinner. They
filled you with guilt’s. Actually you are innocent. You have committed
No sins what so ever.
Your bondage is this that you practice Samadhi. You are making
efforts for Samadhi to bring fruits for liberation to happen. That is
also a one kind of greed. This is your bondage. Raise sword of
awareness and sever it in to pieces.

You (soul) are spreading the whole world. You are thread in it. Do not become

(1) I am no sinner.
JANAK SAID; WONDERFULL; I AM PURE. I AM PEACE. I AM
AWARENESS. I AM INNOSENCE. I HAVE BEEN FOOLED BY
ILLUSION ALL THE TIME. ½
Janak experienced, which had never been experienced before?
He heard what he had never heard before. Ego makes every one
proud but a person who is egoless is like an empty pot.
Janak must have been like an empty pot. Wonderful and awe
full, he immediately awaken.
He heard it and awakened. It is very difficult to find a person like
Janak who awaken with little hint as if he was just waiting.
Majority of the people are there to whom you try to awaken again
and again but you can not awake them. They hear you but they
do not listen. They under stand but draw their own meaning which
suits to them. .
They have vested interest in misunderstanding the things. They
have to give up their old belief if they understand.
Astavakra says; you are pure, nothing sticks you. As soon as Janak heard
it the rays reached to his very depths, piercing straight like an arrow.

All the sins you have done are dreams. Just awake up and all
sins will go to dust been.
NEITHER PUNYA NOR PAP IS YOURS. THE VERY DOING IS NOT
YOURS.
BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT DOER. YOU ARE OBSERVER. YOU ARE
WITNESS.
Janak said; amazing. I am pure and not only this, you are telling
me, I am not body,
I am not the mind; I am not that which is being seen.
I AM ALWAYS BEYOND THE EXTERNAL WORLD.
It is to be understood thoroughly that what ever we see are not we.
What ever we see are not we. What so ever come in experience
are not we? Because what ever we see, we are beyond that.
Eyes are seeing but I am behind the eyes, which is seeing. What
so ever becomes my experience, I am beyond that, because I am
the observer of the experience, how can I be the experience.
Hence I am not the body.
In Bhagvat geeta Sri Krishna also says the same but in different
way. Srikrishna describes about the soul in the body. Body is
coming and going but soul is everlasting. Bodies are changed,
like we are changing the clothes but soul is ever lasting.
Janak simply received what ever Astavkra said. Janak did not
raise any question. Janak Said, you shocked me, you awakened
me. There is nothing to ask. Janak began to experience.
You can also do the same but it seems impossible to you. It
happened so fast. It seems to us that it should have taken some
time. We are very surprised; it happen so quickly.1/2

There is a story to open your eyes again. There was a king having
only one son and that Son was seriously sick lying on his death bed.
The physician had given up the hopes, saying we can not do any
thing, he can die any moment. It is a matter of just two three days.
The father stays awake all night sitting on his bed side. Tears were
following from his eyes. Sitting and sitting, at about three am in the
morning, the father began to doze. While he slept, he dreamed a
great empire over which he was lord. He had twelve sons; all were
very handsome, young, talented, intelligent and great fighters.
He was having this dream when the son breathed his last.
His wife screamed and started crying.
He opened his eyes. He was completely shocked. He sat there dumb
founded because just a moment before there was twelve sons. They
all gone and here this son had died. He was completely bewildered.
His wife worried whether his mind was damaged, because he had
Great affection with his son and not a single tear was coming to
his eyes. His wife shook him And said, has some thing
happened to you. Why don’t you cry?
He said, for whom I should cry. There were twelve sons a minute
before, they all died. Should I cry for them or should I cry for this
son. I wonder who I should cry for. Just as twelve sons have
gone, thirteen have gone. Every thing has finished he said.
That was a dream and this too is a dream. When I was
seeing the dream, it was real for me

at that moment. I had completely forgotten this son. When the
dream broke I remembered you all.
Now both dreams have gone. Now I have awakened from day
dreaming. It is enough, now I won’t be roaming about in the
dreams of the world. The time has come to understand,
Neither this is the true nor that was true. Now I have awakened.
Let go happened.
JANAK HAS NOT MOVED AN ENCH BUT JANAK SAYS, AMAZING. LET
GO
HAPPENED.
Renunciation happened through under standing and piercing
in the heart straight like an arrow.
Amazing, now through the skill of your teaching, having renounced
the body and the world, what skill is it, hardly a leaf is shaken and
the awakening has happened. The world is no longer is being
seen. My whole vision is changed. Now I am seeing the divine. I
will live but now I will live like a guest. I will work but now no worry
catches me. You stay where you are; there is no need to flee to
Himalya. Sanyas is not escaping.

13 THIRD CHAPTER
Astavakra taught the real truth to Janak: such was the effect
of his teachings Janak started reflecting immediately.
Janak said:Oh wonderful. I was sleeping so far. Now by your
teachings I have awakened.
``

your self and see if there is any interest to get any thing or any
desire left within. You just answer me this.
It is a major happening happened to janak but Astavakra wants to
check it up that some thing has happened actually. As janak had
said time and again wonderful, astonishing. I am my self divine?
How foolish I was? I was indulged in what kind of madness.
As you are saying that you have experienced the oneness of divinity, is it
enough? Do you want any thing more? If the god comes in front of you
and say janak tell me what you want, you ask any thing I am ready to give
you. Would you have any thing to demand .Would you like to beg some
thing from god or would you be able to say no thanks I do not want
anything. Will you be able to say so without any hesitation? Your mind will
not say if god wants to give why you are refusing let us beg something.
God himself is saying you can have whatever you like so at that moment
will you spread your begging bowl in front of god, will you

ask some thing from god, Astavakra is saying all this so that janak
could judge himself properly.
Who know this universe is like a dream and it is actually nothing. How
can he see this is to gain and this is to renounce. Astavakra says now
Hey janak look; I have said that a knowledge person will never be
interested in money, power and position etc because of my teaching
do you think to renounce the kingdom and palace. Is their any
question with in you that if it is so then I am ready to renounce all this
because wise man does not desire all these. So I should leave all and
go to Himalaya. If you are thinking like this then you are not the wise
person because wise person neither desire for gaining nor desire for
renouncing. Now I am asking you there may not be any desire for
enjoyment but their may be some desire to renounce because desire
to renounce is also the same face of enjoyment. Enjoyment is saying
grab renouncement is saying leave but mind is set on.

Now Astavakra says a wise person don’t do all this, there
was place for Janak to say if it is so, I am ready to leave all.
The door was still open till now for janak. Now that door is also
closed by Astavakra. Now there is no place to run. Now the place
is only for awakening. Now he has to accept truth. If it has
happened it has happened if it is not happened, not happened.
Wise person never say that gold is sand he says gold is gold and
sand is sand but both are use less. As like enjoyment is a doing,
like wise renouncing is also a doing, and astavakra teaching is
this that no doer, no enjoyment, no renouncing. Only observer,
only witnessing because renouncement is also a doing and
enjoyment is also a doing. In both you become doer. Being the
doer it creates the pride of doer ship. You just become witness.
Just observe the happening standing for away from body.
One who has left the desire and hopes he has washed away his
inner dust. One who is not affected by getting anything luckily
and unluckily? And one who becomes neither happy nor
unhappy.14.3

17 CHAPTER NO :06
Article No. 28. I am like the sky and sea.
THESE VERSES OF JANAK’S ARE STRANGE: It seems
ASTAVAKRA had gone deep in JANAK’S heart. These words spoken
through JANAK are as ASTAVAKRA wanted the reply of JANAK is the
same. He expressed that, he is like the sky and this world is like a pot
created by nature. This world created by nature is identified as a pot
made by pot maker. This is the wisdom. Therefore neither there is
renouncing nor acceptance nor dissolution within. 1/6
Now you are giving me temptation that I should know this and be
liberated. I am already liberated. I was liberated at that moment
when you said: you just be liberated. You are saying to awake
the desire again. Leave it, now I will not come in this temptation.
Janak certainly awakened. He says this world though seems separate
from me but it is not separate. The sea waves are product of the sea.
Waves may come and go but sea remains. I know that I am the

sea and its products can’t affect me. This is the only knowledge. I
am unaffected by outer things and I am as I am, nothing to get
and nothing to leave, all are with in. Where is salvation and where
is liberation. I am already liberated.23/6
I am in all and all are in me, question does not arise for gaining or
renouncing. This knowledge is above all. JANAK asked to whom
are you teaching that we should remain the same in pain and
pleasure. when Janak said these four small verses. Astavakra
was very happy. Astavkra tried to pull Janak up to the last, last
temptation was given for renouncement and knowledge.
Renouncement and knowledge these two are the last barriers who
crossed over these two he is liberated one.4/6

CHAPTER NO:7
World and salvation both waves arising within.
Whether the waves rise or die on the surface of sea it
makes no difference to sea.
JANAK says that the world and salvation both are waves which
I observe. I have nothing to do. I simply see the drama which is
being played by nature. I don’t choose. There is no morality
and no destination. I am happy as I am.
JANAK said: some time anger comes, some time greed comes
and some time lust comes all comes and goes, I am going on
seeing all. I am not concerned. I have no desire to be like this or
that. I am happy as I am. I don’t want to change any thing. 1/7
7/2 all kind of waves arises and destroys but within is not affected.
I am not gaining or loosing any thing. What ever is happening is
happening; let it happen I am not concerned. THERE IS
NOTHING TO CHOOSE. Janak says. What ever is happening I
am just seeing. Nothing will change by my doing.

Astavakra says: When you have got the knowledge you renounce
all. Now you leave the pride of body and get the salvation.
Janak says this body, wealth and this kingdom is not mine which I
should renounce, I have never catch hold of these things which I
should leave. This has happened and will be lost, because of all
this I am not affected. It is the actual renouncement.2.7
I AM only a consciousness and the world is like an Indrajal which is
fake and unreal. What so ever happen happens by nature? There is
nothing to accept or reject. Now all these imaginations are waste. This
is awareness, when you under stand that there is nothing as good or
bad, and there is nothing to choose and nothing to renounce. I am
witness. Where should imagine; Now I have left all these
imaginations. This is the awakening, this is the experience.

9/3. Some one who is lucky enough will see the reality of life and
he will say I have seen all this, there is nothing in it. It is use less
and waste, after experiencing this he attain peace. After realizing
with his own experience that all are use less and worthless he
attain peace. He will be free from the desire for life, desire to enjoy
or desire to get and he attain peace.
9/4. As you are certain that this world is useless peace begets
within. What will be that moment and what will be that position
when duality will not affect you?
You are to neglect them and be satisfied what you have got. You
will be happy. ASTAVAKRA is saying. Who is contented with what
ever he has got. What ever is available in the present that is
sufficient then there will be no run, then there will be no desire,
then there will be only peace.
9/5. There are so many religions; there are so many yogis and
maharishi, which have their different views. What is the use of all this.
Who will be such a fool who will not understand this small thing and
get in peace? What is the use to fall in so many religions? What is the
use to hear the so many religious leaders, to whom you will hear he
will

attract you, every one has his own arguments. They have
dedicated so many lives to create these religions. Certainly these
yogi’s and Maharshi’s were very knowledgeable.
A wise person never indulges in religions. Don’t go for
HINDUS, MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANITY, Jainism and Buddhism.
Because one thing is certain that there is no truth in religions
otherwise there must not be so many religions. There must be one
religion only.
Truth is one and one only. Look at this and neglecting all the
religion, one can get the peace. 9/5 As Lord Srikrishna says:
