A Peek at our Month
Upcoming Dates Reading
In reading we will read some opinion pieces. We then will
March 1 - Book Bingo practice analyzing the text structure to help us use our
March 4-8 - Read Across America Week reading strategies when comprehending text. We will also
(Dress up days below) focus on the text structure and answering questions about
March 5 - 2nd Grade Musical the text without using our opinion. We will also complete
another Reading Assessment Prep. They will read a passage,
March 7 - Kindergarten Registration
use a “Tips for Answering Questions” chart and independently
March 12 - Skyforce Game answer various question types. We will reflect on the
March 12 - PTA Meeting strategies they use and practice RAP.
March 15 - No School RAP:
March 20 - End of Quarter 3 R-Restate the Question
March 29/April 1 - No School A-Answer the Question

Reminders Math
In continuing with our fraction unit, we will work on
-Remember to dress appropriately for the comparing fractions by analyzing our fraction cards and
weather! placing them on a number line. We will study decimals and
order them from least to greatest. We will focus on adding,

Spelling Writing
This month students will complete another Guided Writing
Performance Task. They will practice analyzing different sources
