If a swimming team were to be created in a lab to have the perfect height, weight, power, and

strength, heaps of problems could arise. Athletes would no longer need to train, because
muscles could be synthetically created and genetics modified to fit the perfect athlete profile.
This would mean that anybody could be an athlete with 0 practice needed - athletes are usually
known for their unique skills and abilities that set them apart from the rest, but with lab made
athlete traits anybody could become one, no matter their sports abilities or genetics. While it
could be an opportunity for those with chronic disabilities or people who long to become
professional, it’s not worth wasting so much money and time on it. If a team of Australian
olympic swimmers were lab adjusted to be the best in the pool, then not only would it get boring
(for everyone except the aussies) to watch because their teams are getting smashed, but it
would also be highly unfair for the remaining countries, particularly the ones who couldn’t afford
the new body-changing technology.
