CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
a. Objective research
Judging from the background and objectives of the existing research, the
objective is to find out every implied meaning in the lyrics of the song as well as
interpret.
2.2 Interpretation
Interpretation is the art of indirectly depicting, however communication can be
easily understood. Interpretation is closely related to the range that must be achieved
by the subject and at the same time simultaneously re-expressed as the identity of the
structure contained in the life, history, and objectivity (Kaelan: 1998).
Interpretation or often referred to as interpretation is a process of
communication through words or gestures between two or more people who cannot
use the same symbols, either simultaneously (known as simultaneous interpretation)
or sequential (known as sequential interpretation). according to the definition,
interpretation is only used as a method if needed. If the object of the work of art is
quite clear in its meaning, the object will not invite anyone's interpretation. The term
interpretation itself can refer to the process of interpretation which in progress or
results. An interpretation can be part of a presentation or representation of information
that is modified to suit a specific set of symbols. The information can be spoken,
written, pictured, or other forms of language. Complex meanings can arise when the
interpreter whether consciously or not, cross-references an object by placing it in a
broader framework of experience and knowledge. Destination interpretation is usually
to increase understanding.
